banksta.jpg image Banks cut cosy deals with each other while You get shafted Robert Scheer via stan, Thursday, Jun 14 2012, 9:45am
Statistics are boring, but it’s important to wrap your head around this latest one from the Federal Reserve as the definitive epitaph for the American dream. Wall Street’s financial shenanigans, the banking games that made some fat cats outrageously wealthy as they turned home mortgages into toxic securities, wiped out 20 years of growth in American families’ net worth. text The Mistake of Popular Appeal 'radium', Wednesday, Jun 13 2012, 11:15pm
Who needs it? Centers of power have always been highly localized and relatively easy to target. The objective was/is and always will be, to target the 'centers' of control, NOT waste time and effort attempting to attract or 'save' the moronic masses. 'Get over' any culturally inculcated martyr or savior complexes -- the fight has always been between opposing elites and may the more capable, skilled and intelligent group prevail! Cane toad image Oregon man contracts Bubonic Plague pasteur, Wednesday, Jun 13 2012, 12:22pm
News of bubonic plague in Oregon coincides with a local story of noxious cane toad control in Australia. An interesting parallel can be drawn from the two stories by those seeking an easy, inexpensive means by which to spread deadly pathogens -- bio-warfare in other words.

Hu and Singh, stable relations image India, no 'linchpin' in US strategy against China Shastri Ramachandaran via sadh, Wednesday, Jun 13 2012, 1:41am
In January, when the Obama administration came out with its ambition of a military "pivot" to Asia, it caused confusion and unease in the region. Earlier this month, speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, which was attended by most Asian defense ministers, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta eschewed the term "pivot" and referred to a "rebalancing" toward Asia. British NATO bomber preparing for strike over Libya image NATO: A Criminal Globalist Militay Force Vijay Prashad via Captain, Tuesday, Jun 12 2012, 12:20am
NATO went to war in Libya to protect civilians through a U.N. mandate (Resolution 1973). Given legitimacy by the U.N. Human Rights Council and by the International Criminal Court, NATO began its ten thousand bombing missions. It quickly exceeded the U.N. mandate, moving for regime change using immense violence. All attempts to find a peaceful solution were blocked. The African Union's high-level panel was prevented from entering Libya as the NATO barrage began. (story and 1 image)

text The Revolutionary Organisation behind Jesus Christ finn, Monday, Jun 11 2012, 3:32am
Don’t kid yourself children, Jesus was sent on his mission by an organised group that existed long before he was born. He was not a God or even possessed of supernatural powers but a healer of minds and souls and a very brave, charismatic social revolutionary; he could no more fly than any man or elephant could fly! The implausible/impossible fantasy aspects of the story are cultivated by organised religion to weaken and intimidate believers into obeying a supernatural ‘all-powerful’ being that seems always to require the assistance of men to do the simplest things. You see, all Gods are the product of the pens of scribes and propagandists. But Jesus is the exception; he was a man, a most inspiring social reformer.

A 6yo Chinese girl who was callously dumped by her parents because of a rare genetic condition has been adopted by a distant grandfather the newswire reports today.

My heart and soul shriek and lament every time I see children abused or maltreated, its something in the DNA. However, in this rare instance this poor little girl was saved by a distant relative. (story and 1 image)

text 'Legal' farce against Pfc Bradley Manning continues staff report via gan, Saturday, Jun 9 2012, 1:42am
The railroading of Bradley Manning by the criminal Pentagon continues unabated. Application for dismissal of a number of charges was denied by a very partial military Judge on Friday. It's full speed ahead with Manning's crucifixion.

milfuneral.jpg image US military suicides average one per day Jonathan Terbush via stan, Friday, Jun 8 2012, 10:44am
The principal cause of military suicides is 'burnout;' a term used to cover a multitude of causes, not least among them is fighting illegal, dishonorable, Corporate wars for profit against innocent people. As the jarring contradiction between military indoctrination and the sordid reality on the ground hits home, troops resort more and more to booze, narcotics and amphetamines in futile attempts to avoid facing responsibility for murdering civilians and fighting gangster wars of Corporate appropriation. But as we all know avoidance tactics only delay the inevitable, overwhelming crisis.

It is important to place Pfc Bradley Manning in this context; this brave young soldier is not only doing his comrades a service by exposing Pentagon war crimes, he is FIGHTING overwhelming odds against an inherently corrupt criminal system that cares not for honor, justice and the moral right, but serves the interests of criminal Corporate elites -- isn't that right, Mr Dick 'KBR' Cheney?

Leon Panetta, dunce image Panetta: US "reaching the limits of its patience" - O, really? gan, Thursday, Jun 7 2012, 10:34am
The latest demented American dunce to stick his moronic boot in his imbecilic mouth is Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta. Former CIA boss Panetta represents a known lawless nation run by murdering and thieving criminals -- the USA is the world's leading civilian killing nation, approx 5 million murdered since Vietnam; it is also the world's leading invading and occupying nation that specializes in resource theft and assassinating leaders that oppose its imperial designs/policies of appropriating the resources of weaker nations. It has even taken to oppressing its own population with constant surveillance, new draconian indefinite detention 'laws' and military policing. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

text Bradley Manning Trial -- clear case of Conflict of Interests judd, Wednesday, Jun 6 2012, 12:23pm
The first thing that strikes those following the Bradley Manning case is the clear case of conflict of interests. It is the military that stands accused of war crimes via evidence that Bradley Manning allegedly supplied to WikiLeaks. Obviously the accused military cannot sit in judgement of the alleged facilitator (Manning) to the accuser, WikiLeaks. In the interests of a fair trial Manning's case must be heard independently, outside the sphere of military influence. Numerous courts in the country are able to hear this case. Manning's lawyers have not taken a vigorous enough stand and DEMANDED that the case be heard by an independent, non-military court. (story and 1 comment)
