It is no secret that Bush stopped over in Iraq on his way to the APEC summit in Australia to ENSURE that Gen. David Petraeus supplied a positive report to Congress. I do not wish to draw too much attention to the fact that this administration leapt into Iraq without a proper plan or an understanding of the consequences. Statements to the effect that the Iraqi people would welcome foreign invaders with open arms or invaders would be welcomed with “bouquets of flowers” typify the insanity and dissociation of the Bush regime. It is little wonder that the then Secretary of Defence, Donald Rumsfeld, briefed the President that the war had been won in three weeks, “mission accomplished,” when in fact it hadn’t even begun! Nonetheless, in clear view of past monumental failures, today we are expected to disregard the greatest political folly/debacle of the century and take Bush and Patraeus at their shabby word – well, tell it to your grandmother because no one believes it any more!
Iraq stop over, Bush and Rice inspect their handiwork
It is pointless pursuing/exposing the dreary beat-up lies of Bush and his team of criminals, lackeys and cohorts; a Congressman's response to the Patraeus report expresses the popular view, “if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, it probably is a duck!” Meaning that regardless of anything Bush and his hand-picked sycophants say, over one million dead civilians and the worst military bungle in modern history can no longer be disguised or hidden from view.
Furthermore, apprehending REALITY also involves instituting immediate criminal proceedings against those responsible for leading the nation into the dire circumstances in which it now finds itself.
The USA is NOT LOST to criminal incompetents, YET!
