U.S. led Destruction of Yugoslavia Continues
rade, Monday, Jul 23 2007, 12:54pm
Following NATO’s support of KLA terrorist separatists and Bush’s promise to support secessionist moves by Albanians living in the Serbian province of Kosovo, Condoleezza ‘war whore’ Rice, today “assured” leading separatists the U.S. is “committed” to Kosovo's independence “within months” regardless of UN Security Council decisions! Isn’t that just typical? We are all reminded of America ignoring accurate UN reports that WMD did NOT exist in pre-invasion Iraq but America, in usual rustic fashion, invaded anyway and created the world’s worst humanitarian tragedy since WWII -- innocent civilian casualties are fast approaching one million! Trouble in Hedgistan: “Its gonna get a lot worse”
Mike Whitney via rialator, Sunday, Jul 22 2007, 12:35am
Two columns of black smoke can be seen rising over Wall Street and disappearing into the ice-blue New York sky. Terrorism? Not quite. The plumes of smoke are all that’s left of two major hedge funds which blew up just weeks ago leaving nothing behind but a few smoldering embers and a mound of black soot.

Colons, Polyps and Cognisance
zebra, Saturday, Jul 21 2007, 12:27am
George W Bush finally formalised his relationship with Cheney and acknowledged him as the true President prior to entering hospital for a colonoscopy. Doctors were surprised to discover that one of the polyps removed from Bush’s rectum turned out to be his brain. Surgeons were astonished to learn that a tiny polyp-sized brain could function in the human rectum – a fact that didn’t surprise the public! (story and 1 image)

Racist Howard government Exposed
nano, Thursday, Jul 19 2007, 2:17pm
It appears the Australian Howard government has utilised an Indian medical doctor as a scapegoat for purely political purposes. New information contradicting ‘evidence’ supplied by the crown prosecutor regarding the exact location of the discovery of Dr. Haneef’s SIM card -- upon which the crown bases its entire case -- clearly exposes an appalling fabrication, beat-up and collusion. It seems that government ministers and high ranking public servants are involved in a sordid strategy designed to enhance Howard’s re-election prospects – which are now diminishing by the minute!

Kissinger’s Secret Meeting With Putin
Mike Whitney via reed, Wednesday, Jul 18 2007, 10:33pm
"RAF fighter jets were scrambled to intercept two Russian strategic bombers heading for British airspace yesterday, as the spirit of the Cold War returned to the North Atlantic once again. The incident, described as rare by the RAF, served as a telling metaphor for the stand-off between London and Moscow over the murder of Alexander Litvinenko.” (Times Online, Richard Beeston; “RAF scrambles to intercept Russian bombers, 7-18-07)

Banana Accomplished
spoon, Saturday, Jul 14 2007, 2:14am
After years of listening to Bush make excuses for his murderous invasion and subsequent failure in Iraq I again took to the keyboard with the intention of detailing the reality of the world’s most denied holocaust. But it dawned on me that the problem was not really Bush or his neo-cons or any other member of the coalition of criminals and imbeciles – it is the apathetic population whose utter indifference has allowed the situation to deteriorate. The Semiotics of Racism and Terrorism
William Bowles via reed, Friday, Jul 13 2007, 2:20pm
Language is without peer as the most destructive of all Weapons of Mass Destruction, if so used! The obvious examples are Bush and Bin Laden; where would both these murdering criminals be without the Bible and Koran translating into the actions of Wahhabists and Evangelicals – such is the power of Language/text. We encourage everyone to read the following excellent little piece and pursue the discipline. The inaction and tolerance of the masses in the face of appalling holocausts and overt criminality perpetrated by our governments becomes less mysterious if the subliminal power of language is understood. Becoming aware of the operative layers of language inoculates against slave inducing subliminal messaging. [Eds.]

ACCC takes 'deceptive' Google to court
Mark Schliebs via reed, Wednesday, Jul 11 2007, 9:15pm
[To Google with biased love:
Industry analysts and IT professionals are extremely familiar with Google’s unfair practices. Google itself advertised the fact that it would toss information freedom and fair play to the wind for a price. The entire free world witnessed Google openly sell its 'integrity' to the communist totalitarian regime of China, proving without doubt that it consciously engages in the most appalling partiality and bias.
We wish the Oz Competition and Consumer Commission all success and we wish Google the justice it deserves.

Global Warming melts God’s phallus
sadh, Monday, Jul 9 2007, 4:35pm
The annual pilgrimage of thousands of Hindus to a cave deep in the sacred Himalayas has been curtailed due to the object of veneration melting. The culprit is global warming. Many religious Hindus view this occurrence as an ill omen and they may be right. Most men would be slightly peeved if they suddenly lost their salute to creation – but the anger of a God in similar circumstances would know no bounds. A naturally forming phallic ice stalagmite venerated as a symbol of the proto-typical phallic God of death, destruction and regeneration/life, Lord Siva, has failed to form this year – Amarnath cave is without its sacred object. Mad dogs and Neocons
nano, Monday, Jul 9 2007, 12:36pm
What degree or level of madness must be reached before various regulatory forces act in the public interest? Mad dogs and neo-cons share similar levels of dissociation and the propensity to indiscriminately harm those around them. The euphemism bandied around by neocons for creating holocausts and humanitarian disasters is ‘regime change.’ In a recent interview, John Bolton referred to this term as a ‘solution’ to the Iranian dilemma; Bolton and his fellow neocons have no concept whatsoever of international relations, sovereignty and diplomacy. Bolton subscribes to simplistic and rustic, Wyatt Earp type ‘solutions’ – just blow them away! This comic book approach to reality perfectly demonstrates the criminally irresponsible actions of American neocons, unfortunately this approach doesn’t quite ‘cut it’ in the real world, AS IRAQ CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES – to even the dimmest mind! Talking Walls
peptide, Saturday, Jul 7 2007, 1:50pm
The mainstream press is full of stories but for ONE BIG exception; a FAILURE the proportions of which promise to sear the pages of history. The criminal intervention and the subsequent holocaust and humanitarian disaster that is Western Interventionist Iraq! The media is at pains to avoid this story for obvious reasons -- it participated in the original ruse and deception upon which a full-scale military invasion was launched. The list of war criminals must therefore include the name of Rupert Murdoch as he clearly carries equal responsibility with Bush, Cheney, Blair, Howard and the conservative forces that support them. Arrests for war crimes must extend to Murdoch and other complicit media moguls/organisations – Murdoch is damned by his own words, delivered in numerous speeches and addresses to his fellow criminal conservatives.

Day Dreamer: of Butterflies and Men
Kwang zi, Friday, Jul 6 2007, 6:10pm
It is known and supported by the historical record that the masses will tolerate almost anything from their rulers providing their (adjustable) comfort levels or pain thresholds are not suddenly exceeded. Failure to address this vital fact will always result in a failed mass movement or failed social ‘management’ strategies. Recent history has noted neo-conservative strategies formulated around the above axiom. To effect social change the masses require a stimuli/event to exceed the boundary of their comfort zone. Destroying the American democracy and implementing totalitarian policies was child’s play post 9/11, anthrax attacks and the amplification of tiny criminal groups to the status of international (terrorist) threat!

U.S. and NATO forces kill more civilians than Taliban
Laura King via rialator, Friday, Jul 6 2007, 2:23pm
KABUL, AFGHANISTAN — After more than five years of increasingly intense warfare, the conflict in Afghanistan reached a grim milestone in the first half of this year: U.S. troops and their NATO allies killed more civilians than insurgents did, according to several independent tallies. The upsurge in deaths at the hands of Western forces has been driven by Taliban tactics as well as by actions of the American military and its allies. (story and 2 images)

A Farewell to Arms Control
Scott Ritter via reed, Thursday, Jul 5 2007, 12:26pm
The organization that was at the center of the maelstrom of the Iraqi weapons-of-mass-destruction fiasco, responsible for bringing the world to the brink of war on no fewer than a half-dozen occasions during the 1990s, and then unable to prevent a war in March 2003, has departed the global scene. It left not with a dramatic flair befitting its former status, but rather with barely a whimper, reduced to nothing more than a historical footnote in the grand tragedy that has become Iraq. Al Qaeda in Iraq: Bush's Creation
Bill Gallagher via rialator, Monday, Jul 2 2007, 7:09pm
President George W. Bush's political capital is about as low as it can go, with only dead-end Bushists clinging to his failed regime. The erosion of support, however, can actually make the madman even more isolated from reality, arrogant and impetuous.

A Matter of Justice or the Failure of Nations
nano, Monday, Jul 2 2007, 11:44am
Press secretary for the Bush Whitehouse, Tony Snow, stated that Bush “has the ability to exercise his ‘own authority’ ..,” [my emphasis]. The comment was made in reference to a dispute in Congress and to presidential discretionary powers; however, what everybody is at pains to avoid is the nature of this “authority” in the US political system. Yes, the authority that is invested in the president is invested by the people through the democratic process; a president then becomes the representative voice of the people; and all things being equal – which they clearly are not – democracy continues in a healthy State! And therein lies the tale; the sickest democracy in the world today is the American ‘democracy.’ (story and 1 comment)

The K.I.S.S. Principle
Kismo, Saturday, Jun 30 2007, 3:25pm
For those not familiar with the acronym ‘KISS’, it expands to, “Keep It Simple Stupid”! The KISS (K) principle was/is the most invaluable teaching/training aid in the IT industry, especially in the early days when people actually feared the ‘complexity’ of computers. Anyone who is confronted by an overwhelming amount of ‘information’ tends to lose themselves in a sea of confusion. Fortunately, a very bright and creative mind developed the ‘K’ principle for dealing with these situations. (story and 1 image)
