Holocaust Denial
yarra, Thursday, Apr 26 2007, 1:23pm
When is holocaust denial not a crime? When the victims are not Jews it would seem! As the world begins to target the lies and excesses of conservative governments, coalition leaders are becoming more nervous and agitated as each day passes. But the monstrous oversight of all opposition parties – and it’s not accidental – is continued holocaust denial. There is no dismissing the figures from a world-renowned authoritative journal (Lancet). The 660,000 civilian dead in Iraq CONSTITUTE A HOLOCAUST in any ‘language’. The screaming figures can no longer be dismissed, avoided or denied nor can the RESPONSIBILITY for the CRIMES. (story and 2 comments)

Stocksplosion
Jim Kunstler via rialator, Wednesday, Apr 25 2007, 10:27pm
Whenever somebody complains about "the lies that George Bush & Co. told to get us into the Iraq war" (as Frank Rich did in The New York Times on Sunday), I wonder how those lies compare to the lies that the American public tells itself every day -- for example, that we could run America without oil from the Middle East, or that hybrid cars will save Happy Motoring, or that we can have an economy without producing anything of value.

Constant Conflict: US Army College
U.S. Army College via rialator, Monday, Apr 23 2007, 1:23pm
[For those who doubted the psychopathology of the USA , read their own account. There is NO making peace with a rabid dog; for the welfare of all it must be put down immediately.]
There will be no peace. At any given moment for the rest of our lifetimes, there will be multiple conflicts in mutating forms around the globe. Violent conflict will dominate the headlines, but cultural and economic struggles will be steadier and ultimately more decisive. The de facto role of the US armed forces will be to keep the world safe for our economy and open to our cultural assault. To those ends, we will do a fair amount of killing. (story and 2 images)

Art of War
Sun Tzu, Thursday, Apr 19 2007, 10:48am
Literary works become timeless classics due to many factors. Continuing relevance and excellence characterise all classic texts. In every respect SunTzu's classic work on strategy is peerless to this day. It was written in the most sublime and sophisticated period of Chinese culture; a period that also produced probably the most sublime work ever written by any human being, the Dao De Jing by Lao Tzu. Today, the western world is characterised by criminals in government, corruption in plague proportions and social decadence not seen since the fall of the Roman Empire, people would do well to refer to these two outstanding Chinese classics for inspiration. The Art of Misinformation and Crowd Management
finch, Tuesday, Apr 17 2007, 4:54pm
In answer to growing animosity and the widely held view that the USA is a pariah among nations, compensatory responses from U.S. propagandists are becoming more frequent. The following media ‘staff report’ has been released to a number of international media outlets; India, Pakistan, Australia and Thailand to name the few. However, the ‘news’ release has received little coverage elsewhere, especially in locations familiar with U.S. double standards and hypocrisy. We refer to two Australian releases for our brief analysis. (story and 2 images)

Hail and Farewell: the End of the American Empire
Gore Vidal via rialator, Sunday, Apr 15 2007, 4:41pm
Whenever The New York Times finally gets the point to what is going on in our native land a celestial choir can be heard in Times Square, shouting hosannas. This happened recently, on April 14th, when they realized that there could be a dark explanation for what W. is doing when he sends a Mr. Bolton, a U.N. hater, to be ambassador to that body or a Mr. Wolfowitz to the World Bank, a man as ignorant of history and finance as the president himself. Maureen Dowd in the Times was allowed to set the pitch for the latest revelations with her “More Con Than Neo” headline. Meanwhile, hundreds, perhaps thousands, of incompetents are now cluttering the Justice Department while known incompetents are in place to wreck from within regulatory systems and even mighty Walter Reed Hospital itself. Timor-Leste: El Dorado of the South Pacific
Kwang zi, Saturday, Apr 14 2007, 6:18pm
The current population of East Timor is approximately one million souls while the value of its natural gas and oil reserves amount to billions of dollars. However, the tiny new island nation is impoverished with above 35% unemployment and a rural based economy. Without elaborating further, Timor-Leste presents an extremely volatile situation as greedy interests, primarily America via its ‘World’ Bank and Australia-New Zealand acting as the military arm, poise themselves to exploit the impoverished people and nation of Timor-Leste.

The Apostles of Deception
Charles Sullivan via rialator, Saturday, Apr 14 2007, 1:32pm
What passes for Christianity among the people, like so many things American, is not the genuine article. The sermons that rise from many of the pulpits of the churches of America are, I suspect, as counterfeit as a six-dollar bill; as phoney as the people running the country. But those whose faith is blind are incapable of seeing truth. That is the trouble with blind faith. It does not, it cannot, see. I have always been wary of organised religion. (story and 2 images)

The Popular Front: Timor-Leste remains fundamentally Fretilin
finch, Friday, Apr 13 2007, 11:32am
Regardless of the destabilising intervention of Australia/USA via Major Reinado and the current occupation, Fretilin remains the principal political force in East Timor. Its roots extend to the beginnings of national identity forged during the bloody resistance campaigns against Indonesia's attempt to annex the tiny nation. After 450 years of Portuguese colonial rule and the recent violent interventions of foreign interests, the tiny nation of Timor-Leste has learnt the value of freedom and independence. The East Javanese left may have influenced the early political leanings of Fretilin, however, today's Fretilin is fervently nationalistic and rejects all forms of foreign interference. The Price of Complacency
cleaves, Monday, Apr 9 2007, 2:01pm
The price of inaction in the face of criminal government is about to be extracted; the cost will be borne by ALL. Would the point finally be driven home if the irrefutable, clearest indicator of psychopathology in government were to be demonstrated to the whole world? The manic and ruthless determination by Washington neocons to pursue an inherently sociopathic plan for world domination (PNAC) now threatens to open Pandora’s NUCLEAR box. Once open every nation would have been given license by the USA to utilise any weapon it chooses – perhaps that is the wish of doctrinaire neocons who subscribe to the permanent war philosophy? The near future should confirm whether Israeli training exercises and U.S. intelligence gathering materialises into a nuclear attack on Iran. (story and 2 images)

Euphemisms, Militarism and U.S. Psychopathology
barra, Monday, Apr 9 2007, 12:43am
I have long since given up wondering why the masses tolerate the most heinous criminals in government; the answer to that was so obvious it was elusive. These days freelancers and associated drunks in the ranks of Murdoch’s Orwellian media, review past stories when nothing dramatic presents for ‘gory story’ and associated press! Hacks are instinctively attuned to language. Word abuse from those in high places always grates and alerts to possible subterfuge. Professionals do not appreciate the tools of their trade being abused by oafs and unqualified sordid types. (story and 2 images)

Cultural Inversions and Criminal Leadership
finch, Thursday, Apr 5 2007, 3:13pm
Imagine coalition leaders recoiling in horror at the prospect of facing the truth that it is they who are the most criminally liable and culpable terrorists in the world today! Former Secretary General of the UN, Kofi Annan, stated that in order to effectively combat terrorism a universal definition of ‘terrorism’ would be imperative. A ratified definition would eliminate politically motivated, arbitrary definitions made by various groups/States for the principal purpose of serving their own interests. In the absence of a universal definition the legal system and International criminal courts are ‘hamstrung’ or worse, subject to manipulation by powerful (criminal) interests. (story and 1 image)

Even Mormons Jumping Off Bush Bandwagon as War Takes its Toll
