Hang Him, hang Him Quick!
budgie, Tuesday, Dec 26 2006, 6:57am
The puppet judiciary of occupied Iraq today announced that Saddam Hussein would be hanged within 30 days. Saddam is presently being tried for the mass murder of Kurdish villagers but the judiciary insisted that he MUST be executed regardless of any other proceedings. This decision is a ‘just in time’ corporate-style decision – just in time for what the uninformed reader would ask? Just in time to save America from incrimination for supplying the chemical weapons and expertise required to kill the innocent Kurdish villagers – that is the REAL NEWS of the day! Unqualified Slogans: “Win” and “Way Forward”
peptide, Thursday, Dec 21 2006, 11:16am
As America faces the most calamitous military misadventure in its history, the administration offers unqualified slogans rather than detailed plans to remedy the horror it created in Iraq. The American mass media is now buzzing with the sound of nothing meaningful. The Bush administration has resorted to contextually meaningless slogans in its efforts to dupe an increasingly sceptical public. The latest inane slogans saturating the airwaves are “win” and “way forward”. Only adolescents and the daft invest meaning in unqualified slogans – shall we test the latest two slogans and attempt to determine the ruse behind the deception? (story and 1 comment)

Pot Cultivation in Today’s America
barra, Tuesday, Dec 19 2006, 8:41pm
It’s official, marijuana represents the USA’s most lucrative locally grown product – at $200 billion/annum, corn, wheat and potatoes are chicken feed. While U.S. borders seep various powdered imports it’s good ol’ home grown pot that makes the bankers smile. The USA is drowning in contraband and the negative social ramifications of the neo-PROHIBITION of unenlightened conservative beliefs – when will they ever learn?

Close Torture Bay
Cleaves Editorial Team, Tuesday, Dec 19 2006, 9:04am
The world today is in no doubt as to the criminal status of the illegal detention centre of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The past three years have not only witnessed unprecedented assaults on the founding principles of the USA by the Bush regime, but also on international law and convention. The government of the USA is clearly rogue, a fact in which its officials delight. The contempt the neo-cons display for their own citizens is only exceeded by the extreme disdain they exhibit toward the international community. Each day that Guantanamo Bay remains operational is a day of unspeakable psychological horror, torture and injustice. (story and 1 image)

Apocalypto: The Cinematic Logic of Genocide
Juan Santos via rialator, Monday, Dec 18 2006, 8:39am
Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto is not a mere adventure tale, it’s not just another excruciatingly brutal portrayal of apocalyptic violence for its own sake, and the Village Voice is dead wrong when it says that unlike Braveheart and The Passion of the Christ, Apocalypto is “unburdened by nationalist or religious piety,” — that it's “pure, amoral sensationalism.” (story and 1 image)

The Emerald Tablet of Hermes
clavicle, Sunday, Dec 17 2006, 8:28pm
History of the Tablet (largely summarised from Needham 1980, Holmyard 1957) The Tablet probably first appeared in the West in editions of the psuedo-Aristotlean Secretum Secretorum which was actually a translation of the Kitab Sirr al-Asar, a book of advice to kings which was translated into latin by Johannes Hispalensis c. 1140 and by Philip of Tripoli c.1243. Processing Information
budgie, Friday, Dec 15 2006, 12:48pm
U.S. Vice-President, Dick Cheney, today praised the outgoing U.S. Secretary of Defence, Donald Rumsfeld, for his contribution in spreading ‘democracy and liberty’ to the Middle East; Cheney also claimed that Rumsfeld was the “best” Secretary of Defence in U.S. history – additional evidence confirming the U.S. administration is INSANE no longer required.

Fart Power: there is hope after all!
happy jack, Wednesday, Dec 13 2006, 10:48am
A woman with an attack of flatulence recently forced a commercial airliner to the ground after other passengers began to complain of sulphur fumes in the cabin! True story, but I wouldn’t attempt to convince the sceptics, too hard! [See link.] There is power in them thar farts, and you’d better believe it – for more reasons than would be immediately apparent. (story and 1 comment and 1 image and 1 attached file)

Neo-Cons in Disarray
finch, Friday, Dec 8 2006, 9:43pm
Washington today is characterised by neo-cons running for cover as reality presses in on their delusional world. It’s every psychopath and criminal for him/herself as uncertainty grips the culpable. Neo-cons and their support networks are abandoning the new American century (delusion) for the hard reality of rapid American decline and the very real prospect of facing war crimes tribunals. The recent utterings of arch-neocon, Richard Perle, attempting to lay blame on the imbecile, Bush, reveals panic at the highest levels; but it’s far too late to evade responsibility, the world is very familiar with the criminal perpetrators of the whole neo-con fiasco. Confirmed: ‘Wyatt Earp’ losing War in Iraq
peptide, Wednesday, Dec 6 2006, 7:06pm
Is anyone surprised? When first we heard the simplistic binary logic of “wanted dead or alive” or “you're either with us or with the terrorists” and “mission accomplished” (no connection to the real world whatsoever); WE KNEW IT WOULD BE A DISASTER. Many intelligent articles were written at that time sounding a warning, testifying to the fact – peruse this site and read for yourselves.
But let’s not stop with the above lest it HAPPEN AGAIN! The comment from Paul Wolfowitz that Iraqi people would welcome invaders with “bouquets of flowers” is stratospheric in its dissociation; his comment indicates lunacy in its pure form or criminal contempt in its worst form. Not to be outdone by Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld offers his ‘poetry of insanity’ for idiots and Americans, quatrains of pathology expressed in the ‘known-unknown-knowns’ of criminal deception. And not to be excluded from the unadulterated INSANITY and INCOMPETENCE is the war-whore herself, Condoleezza (status quo) Rice, of Lebanon infamy who believes that peace equates with war! A Word or Two
evo, Monday, Dec 4 2006, 10:17am
The word assassin comes to us from the hashish eaters who were commissioned to dispatch/eliminate enemy leaders – an interesting tactic that survives today in Iraq and other Muslim regions. Target the presented puppet leadership and force the faceless powers to reveal their real intentions to the world. Who would lament the elimination of those who would do the bidding of slave masters? Are they not worse than their masters? Theirs is the work of traitors – for thirteen pieces of dung they sell their OWN people to slave merchants. (story and 3 comments)

The Downside of ‘Liberation Democracy’
dingo, Monday, Nov 27 2006, 8:30pm
A recent study highlighting the rapid expansion of organised criminal activity in those areas where NATO and the U.S. have engaged in aggressive military intervention offers further evidence of the lasting negative social consequences of foreign occupation by neo-colonial powers. As corporate driven America attempts to assert its dominance over weaker nations, organised crime, quick to exploit traumatised societies, becomes the principal beneficiary in the 'war on terror' and the spread of ‘democracy, liberty’ and free market capitalism – what is good for capitalist America is even better for a crime boss! The New Breed
peptide, Saturday, Nov 25 2006, 9:42am
A recent news report detailing the effects of Globalisation – western economic/military expansionism by any other name – and the explosion of organised criminal activity in the Balkans was aired today on ABC Radio Australia. The primary item of interest dealt with the negative impact that Western Europe, including the UK, is experiencing as a result of the activities of Albanian, Turkish, Bosnian, Bulgarian and Serbian criminal syndicates. According to the report NATO’s intervention and the subsequent elimination of traditional regulatory forces and authorities in the region has facilitated the “explosion”.

John Howard: “Horrified” Australian War Criminal
nano, Thursday, Nov 23 2006, 9:49am
John Howard, lackey Prime Minister of Australia and member of the coalition of willing criminals, today stated that he is “horrified“ at the loss of life in Iraq. In view of the fact that Howard, Bush and Blair are DIRECTLY responsible for the illegal invasion and the hundreds of thousands of subsequent deaths in Iraq, we are horrified that these men have avoided prosecution to date! Economic Values and Impending Collapse
finch, Wednesday, Nov 22 2006, 9:02am
Foreboding has hit the ranks of private equity firms; try as they might to unload vast amounts of funds (monetary value is inextricably linked to the movement of those funds) they have been unable to spend/invest at a rate that would sustain value let alone increase real profits! The ‘healthy figures’ reflecting increased acquisitions/investments are on paper only – it ‘looks good’ at the moment!

G20 and Oz Sibling Rivalry
barra, Sunday, Nov 19 2006, 11:40am
Freud would have a field day with the Costello brothers at the moment. One is the Australian Federal Treasurer, our much ‘loved’ local supercilious prick, Peter Costello; the other is the Reverend Tim Costello who poured his Christian scorn all over the G20 conference in which his brother was taking great pride. The Rev. Tim, stated (paraphrase) that the conference was a non-event, a waste of time!

Ludicrous Assumptions
gan, Friday, Nov 17 2006, 7:02pm
Ludicrous assumptions are many but perhaps the most absurd is the assumption that those who steal the greater percentage of available wealth and continue to implement economic strategies designed to enslave are (somehow) safe and secure. From the Pacific islands to the pitch battles in Mainland China, exploited people of the world are retaliating against injustice.
