Inverted Values
finch, Wednesday, Nov 15 2006, 12:11pm
An Australian corporate director who FAILED to perform was recently relieved of his position; he nevertheless was able to walk with a $30 million severance package. This case is not uncommon, directors who fail to perform ensure they win regardless of other factors. Public companies are milk cows for these unscrupulous types.

Rupert Murdoch clarifies Rulership
nano, Tuesday, Nov 14 2006, 8:00am
Not too long ago Rupert Murdock would have trounced anyone in his media group for letting the ‘cat out of the bag’ (stating plain truth). It was therefore with jaw-dropping amazement that a local Australian audience listened to Murdock plainly state that we should not allow a particular administration to affect our attitude to the United States. “Administrations come and go”, he said, inferring REAL POWER, which Murdock represents, continues unaffected by the whims of democratic process! Banksy Industries Stocks Plummet (?)
Art Scool of Hard Knocks drop out, Tuesday, Nov 14 2006, 7:24am
Compilation of numerous articles relating to Banksy, 21st century artist of the stoneage.
When you are unable to understand something, criticize it! It makes no difference to Banksy, all reactions to his ART have been pre-empted by the gutter-rat maestro himself.
One aspect of his genius is his use of inter-dimensionality -- not entirely an original method -- he appropriated it from cave art and 'primitive man'.
Nonetheless, the man is a fuckin' genius, go man, go! (story and 2 images)

The War Crimes Case Against Donald Rumsfeld
Marjorie Cohn via rialator, Sunday, Nov 12 2006, 10:31pm
As the Democrats took control of the House of Representatives and were on the verge of taking over the Senate, George W. Bush announced that Donald Rumsfeld was out and Robert Gates was in as Secretary of Defense. When Bush is being run out of town, he knows how to get out in the front of the crowd and make it look like he's leading the parade. The Rumsfeld-Gates swap is a classic example.

Wake-up Call
peptide, Sunday, Nov 12 2006, 7:51pm
If after comparing actual events with posturing and rhetoric you conclude that Western governments serve minority corporate interests rather than the interests of the people, you would have discovered the lie that is democracy. You may also be surprised to discover that the majority of people who live in so-called democratic societies are actually compliant slaves! Governments that are SUBJECT to the rule of minority Corporate elites could hardly be expected to serve the interests of the majority if their masters specialise in inequity, disparity and the concentration of wealth in the fewest possibly hands. The appropriate response to any politician who states they are serving the interests of democracy, liberty or the people should therefore be, LIAR – unless of course you belong to the category of mindless slaves referred to above!

Tony Blair: “Poisonous Propaganda”
peptide, Friday, Nov 10 2006, 8:58am
Tony (45 mins) Blair, member of the coalition of willing criminals and terrified of the prospect of facing a war crimes tribunal, has today labelled the dissenting voice of opposition (justice) as “poisonous propaganda”. The world received this ridiculous statement with ample incredulity. We are all familiar with the politics of inversion and pathologically lying Prime Ministers (Blair and Howard) but this latest desperate statement from Blair even elicited a bray from the Whitehouse donkey, who is far too busy with his own problems to offer any assistance to his partner in crime. The three most notorious murderers of the 21st century, Bush, Blair and Howard are facing an extremely hazardous future! (story and 3 comments)

Sedition and Popular Media
Kingfisher, Friday, Nov 3 2006, 10:28am
Conservative governments (marionettes of Corporate and Financial interests) have unanimously implemented 'new sweeping' [slogan] anti-terrorist and sedition laws to constrain and stifle dissent; conservatives can always be relied upon to implement the most lacklustre ‘solutions’! In characteristic mode they have resorted to Legislation in a futile attempt to silence dissenting and protesting ‘voices’. Legislation has always been the desperate final resort of all scoundrel governments and inept politicians. Nevertheless, the popular media remains unaffected by the new laws and continues to demonise, misrepresent, distort and omit details in order to present a ‘tailored reality’ to the public. Circumventing the ‘new sweeping laws’ is child’s play for any journo, analyst, artist or professional media manufacturer/fabulator/fabricator – WHY? (story and 2 comments and 2 images)

In that strange inverted land called America politicians who tell the truth risk ridicule and reprimand; John Kerry has been attacked by the opposition and members of his own party for stating the truth regarding the intellectual capability of some military personnel in Iraq. Mother Shipton's Prophecy
anon via rialator, Thursday, Oct 26 2006, 11:25am
The site does not usually cater for conjecture or new-age space cadets. However, this post is worth a read if not for the ‘signal in the heavens’ – a comet or other astronomical event – then for its uncanny accuracy on present events. Validation would prove depressing in any case, as it would be too late to recover. With that said it is perhaps timely to consider the experiments done by behavioural psychologists in the recent past.
Small groups of mammals (rodents) were given a finite environment to inhabit. Initially the supplied (confined) space, fixed supply of food, water and nesting material were abundant for the small numbers. The rodents began to breed prolifically; soon the finite resources were insufficient for the exploding population of rats. Suffice to say the rats began to kill, cannibalise and otherwise lose all their normal protective social behaviour – rat mayhem ensued. The rats became totally pathological relative to their earlier behaviour. Interestingly, the outcome was total extinction not the survival of the fittest as would be expected. The surviving rat generations lost all sense and instinctive direction and continued to kill each other (as learnt). The survivors all died or were severely crippled from their wounds.
If you ever wonder why, in the face of EXPOSED criminal government, the population DOES NOT ACT – it would appear it’s programmed in the DNA, let’s just call it the ‘lemming syndrome’. The species self-destructs in order that the greater good is maintained/harmonised. This applies to ALL species – how does it feel to be a failed species? The looming climatic catastrophe is man made – POLLUTION! Better not to mention the inability of man to successfully deal with the simple equation of limited sustainability. (story and 2 images)

The Management of Information
peptide, Sunday, Oct 22 2006, 11:10pm
The Australian Minister for Communications, Helen Coonan, buoyed by her recent success in eliminating media diversity in Oz is now targeting the most diverse (content) medium on the planet – the internet. Her latest comments (news radio) veil her real intentions (information control!) The only effective means of controlling the flow of information on the internet is filtering at backbone or provider level. Conservatives are entirely predictable and Coonan is no exception, her intentions to target the internet were anticipated, a quote from an article dated July 5, follows: (story and 2 images)

China Asserts Superiority
Kwang zi, Saturday, Oct 21 2006, 12:43am
China asserts dominance in the region but if you blinked you missed it; the difference between loud and clear and subtle and clear is the difference between, “bombing into the stone-age” and gently applying Asian lateral diplomacy. DPRK (Kim Jong il) rebuffs six-party talks but promises China during independent talks, that nuclear testing will cease. Miss war whore/status quo/dead children, Condoleezza Rice, and the rest of the world are left in no doubt which nation exercises the greater degree of influence in the region; a clear message has been sent – the world has taken note. Gross Incompetence
nano, Thursday, Oct 19 2006, 2:03pm
A principal failure if not the major failure of the U.S. administration is its failure to comprehend the nature of post-modern reality, especially post-modern warfare. The U.S. war ‘machine’ is an antiquated beast run by the mentally impaired. Dangerous and angry old men (past failures) do not good leaders/advisers make!

Criminal Paradise is Government
barra, Tuesday, Oct 17 2006, 9:59am
The answer is blowing the Constitution and Bill of Rights out the window – the Triads, Mafia, Latino, Cuban groups and various South American drug cartels all have something to learn from Cheney and Bush; in fact, they look positively tame in comparison. When confronted with accusations (and proof) of murder, torture, theft/plunder, illegal surveillance, etc, on levels traditional organised crime could only dream of, what is the recourse of neo-cons? Legislate and change the Law (it’s an ass anyway). Simply legalise activities that were once considered crimes and criminalise those who oppose or disagree! There’s nothing that compares to stealing government – computerised voting, subterfuge, lies, fabricated terrorist threats and THE POWER TO LEGISLATE – it’s just too damn easy! (story and 2 images)

From cave painting, totemism to pop, ART has always been the means by/through which a given ‘reality’ is created or re-arranged according to the will/desire/needs of the artist.
Who is it that declares ART today? Everyone is an artist and everything, including murder and war is Art! (story and 1 comment and 2 images)

Poofs, Paedophiles and American Puritanism
nano, Saturday, Oct 7 2006, 8:19pm
Think of the final refuge for religious extremists (fanatical Christian cults) from Europe; and later, the sexual undertone of the Salem witch trials and you stare homosexual congressman, Mark Foley, ‘straight’ in the American sexual obsession. It seems that puritanism is alive and well in the good ol’ U.S of A! Amazing as the over-reactive American response may seem to Europeans and those of other nations, the news of a homosexual’s exploits with a boy has pushed all other news aside – incredible! The Mayflower continues to sail the waters of conservative America.

Solutions, Remedies and Cultural Amnesia
jalal'udin, Wednesday, Oct 4 2006, 6:56pm
Would someone care to guess the historical age of the well-known adage, “A HOUSE DIVIDED CANNOT STAND” notwithstanding this particular quote is sourced from theological material? Regardless of age or source the above maxim expresses a universal truth in relation to social affairs. Recent history reminds us of the fragmentation and demise of a once independent Balkan nation. Yugoslavia now hosts the largest military occupation base (Bondsteel) in Europe. The Balkan conflict is a perfect example of divisionism leading to ruin – as it always does! [In contrast, fragmented warlord-torn China overcame its long history of internal conflict to become one of the most powerful nations on the planet.] (story and 1 comment)

Democracy Burning
Kingfisher, Friday, Sep 29 2006, 4:12pm
What consistencies, common elements and patterns are identifiable in the following events: the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the attack on the USS Liberty, and 9/11? Although time, geographic location and historical context separate these events they nevertheless share remarkably similar aims, objectives and characteristics. All these orchestrated events provided an excuse for the USA to engage in what would have otherwise been blatantly illegal warfare. The Tonkin incident ‘justified’ American miliary aggression against Vietnam; the USS Liberty incident would have provided an ideal excuse for U.S. involvement in the six-day war; the 9/11 attack has been utilised as the primary justification for America’s military expansionism and the implementation of draconian laws on the domestic front.
