America Unintentionally Unites Arab World
nano, Wednesday, Feb 2 2011, 7:33pm
Political events do not occur in a vacuum, numerous factors converge to trigger what appear, to the uninformed, ill-educated and linear mentalities as ‘spontaneous’ revolutionary events; however, nothing could be further from the truth. (story and 1 comment)

Mid-East Dominos Falling-- protests hit Jordan
quill, Tuesday, Feb 1 2011, 8:22am
Jordan’s pro-American monarch feigns reform and replaces PM following street protests. Meanwhile Saudi Royalty and other US-bought Arab ruling elites are shitting their American supplied underwear. But the penny hasn’t dropped yet! The WORLD HAS HAD ENOUGH OF AMERICAN INTERFERENCE, BRUTALITY and HYPOCRISY. The sooner NON-REPRESENTATIVE, failing governments comprehend this REALITY the easier it will be for them and the masses; voluntary resignations are certainly preferable to the hangman’s rope. Egypt: Indefinite general strike and 'million man march' planned
staff report via gan, Monday, Jan 31 2011, 7:03am
It seems embattled puppet dictator, Mubarak, has angered Washington, as protest leaders are supported and sanctioned by the USA. An unpopular American puppet dictator has no chance without the support of Washington or the people. Let's hope the Egyptian people are aware of the machinations of the CIA and Washington and another US lackey is NOT installed as new leader! (story and 2 comments)

Fierce Female Deities
sadh, Monday, Jan 31 2011, 12:08am
Symbolism is universal language and serves to preserve hidden messages from the polluting reach of the profane that would otherwise desecrate intended meaning to suit their own purposes or particular agendas, much as the Nicean Council did with early Christian texts. According to the correspondence of the early Church Fathers, over 200 Gospels were in existence prior to the editing and burning of precious texts by the Nicean Council in 350 AD.
Today Christianity has but four Gospels, though others, which have lain buried for centuries, have recently been re-discovered. I therefore look to the ancient, respectful cultures of the EAST for valuable and hidden knowledge encoded in their symbolic, religious Art. (story and 2 comments and 4 images)

Egypt, the Middle East -- SEIZE THE INITIATIVE
jalal, Saturday, Jan 29 2011, 7:03pm
IT MATTERS NOT who or what triggered the revolts and social uprisings in North Africa and Egypt. Mobilised masses are easily turned by those forces that best serve their interests. Freedom from oppression is LONG OVERDUE in the Middle East; it is irrelevant whether or not the US instigated another of its clandestine social revolutions THIS TIME SEIZE THE INITIATIVE and LEAD the MASSES to FREEDOM from ALL OPPRESSION – no more substitute leaderships feigning liberation! The Arab Domino Effect -- Egypt follows Tunisia
David D. Kirkpatrick via gan, Friday, Jan 28 2011, 6:58am
CAIRO — Violent protest spread across Cairo and other Egyptian cities on Friday as tens of thousands of demonstrators intensified their campaign to oust President Hosni Mubarak, pouring from mosques after noon prayers and clashing with police who fired tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons. The Massive Global Political Awakening
quin, Thursday, Jan 27 2011, 9:12pm
I can scarcely believe I (we) somehow overlooked an article by Zbigniew Brzezinski in the NYT when it first appeared in 2008. Brzezinski is arguably the leading geopolitical strategist and policy influencer for the now bereft of positive solutions and rapidly unravelling ruling financial elites. (story and 1 image)

A Tempting Target -- World’s Filthy Rich to meet at Davos
fleet, Wednesday, Jan 26 2011, 10:34pm
According to Forbes, the world’s wealthiest ‘criminals’ (there is no other way to accrue such vast amounts of money) are soon to have their regular gathering at Davos, Switzerland. [“It may well be the greatest concentration of wealth in any one place,” is how Forbes reporter, Luisa Kroll, describes the ‘gathering.’]
It was all I could do to refrain from contacting some Air Force buddies to see what they could do with one well placed missile! There is no doubt that this confab of parasitic scum presents, in today’s world, as an extremely tempting target for the oppressed starving masses and freedom loving people everywhere – I wonder what the starving and EXPLOITED are doing while these parasites discuss various means to enhance their already OBSCENE wealth and the power it affords them? Millions taking Statin drugs 'needlessly'
Stephen Adams via pete, Tuesday, Jan 25 2011, 8:38pm
Big Pharma is pushing the notion that dangerous Statin DRUGS -- recently recalled in many nations -- be re-classified as 'supplements' and offered "free" in fast food outlets with every serve of junk food to combat the deleterious effects of fast food -- give me a break on that logic!
Rather than regulate the slow poison fast 'food' industry, which is effectively slow-killing the population, other Corporate giants, collectively known as 'Big Pharma,' have offered a 'solution' that actually compounds the problem -- just add laboratory manufactured dangerous (but profitable) drugs to the mix to really ensure the population dies young, sick and fast and to hell with the medical and associated costs to the nation! Remember, that the American FDA, in true Orwellian double-logic, recently insisted (regulated in fact) that Genetically Modified 'foods' should NOT be listed as such on product labels -- what next? [See video below.]
The following story presents a balance to the insane proposition offered by an obviously bought 'medical researcher.' Big Pharma is only interested in its bottom line, not your health and well being.

Patrick Martin via stan, Monday, Jan 24 2011, 8:10pm
Military documents obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union after a lengthy lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act provide important new evidence of American war crimes. The documents include autopsy reports and investigative reports on the deaths of 190 prisoners held by the US military at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and in Iraq and Afghanistan. (story and 1 image)

Criminal Kosovo: America’s Gift to Europe
Diana Johnstone via stele, Monday, Jan 24 2011, 8:33am
U.S. media have given more attention to hearsay allegations of Julian Assange’s sexual encounters with two talkative Swedish women than to an official report accusing Kosovo prime minister Hashim Thaci of running a criminal enterprise which, among almost every other crime in the book, has murdered prisoners in order to sell their vital organs on the world market. Hackers Force Shutdown of Europe’s Largest ETS Carbon Con
nano, Thursday, Jan 20 2011, 11:01pm
A digital attack in Europe’s fledgling $100 billion carbon market netted hackers over $38 million in carbon credits. The attack forced the shutdown of Europe’s entire ETS trading apparatus. To state that computer network security in various EU member States is uncoordinated and inadequate would be stating the obvious. Securing systems uniformly in diverse European States presents as a nightmare/joke.

Tony Blair, War Criminal and LIAR, what’s New?
styx, Tuesday, Jan 18 2011, 7:45pm
The following piece from London's Daily Mail is old news; Blair not only misled parliament he also deceived the British people; Blair, Bush and Howard, the 'coalition of willing' puppets, were clearly placed and maintained in power to serve specific interests and follow a Corporate agenda -- 'their' total disregard for the LAW, demonstrated by the illegal invasion of Iraq and the civilian holocaust that resulted, is ample proof that the interests they serve consider themselves ABOVE the LAW. While Bush, Blair and Howard remain free to enjoy the fruits of their criminal actions, we all pay the price and suffer the consequences of their actions and OUR INACTIONS.
Blair is a known LIAR and war criminal, responsible, with his coalition partners, for the first civilian holocaust of the new century – SO WHAT IS SOCIETY DOING ABOUT IT? That is THE ISSUE. (story and 3 comments and 2 images)

Cyber War -- a 21st Century Reality
Kismo, Monday, Jan 17 2011, 10:38pm
Western powers have been slow to develop skills in the crucial theatre of cyber warfare; nevertheless it seems, they have finally engaged. An unsubstantiated report from the UK Telegraph claims that a joint Israeli-US cyber attack may have compromised critical computer systems at Iran’s largest nuclear facility.
