I was raised in a world where killing innocent women and children was considered the most heinous of crimes. Why are such acts tolerated today? The lyrics to a popular song require changing after it was revealed that border guards have powers to confiscate indefinitely, all personal printed and written material, including handwritten notes, all digital data contained on storage devices such as laptops, iphones, flashdrives etc, and write-only storage mediums such as CDs and DVDs. The regulation applies to all, citizen and non-citizen travellers. The law/regulation can be applied without reason or justification on whosoever a ‘guard’ chooses. The criteria for selection remains undefined, which allows for huge abuses of citizens’ rights. One can easily imagine certain personality types/guards disapproving of the way he/she was looked at and reacting immediately with confiscation and intimidation! (story and 2 images)

An ‘American breed' fighting dog that attacked an 11 year-old Brazilian boy received the shock of its now very short life. The pit bull, a breed known for its ‘lack of intelligence’ and ‘propensity to attack the innocent,’ was repelled by a counter attack from the boy who lunged at the dog and fastened his teeth onto its neck. The boy lost a tooth fending off the ‘unprovoked’ attack from the vicious, mindless American breed. (story and 1 image)

The totalitarian leaning Australian government announced today that it would legislate to allow ‘employers/bosses’ to read the emails and other digital communications of their employees. A ‘slight’ intrusion on personal liberties to say the bloody least – perhaps staff should read managements’ emails to maintain a security balance! Who is watching the watchers? No one of course! This strategy is unadulterated totalitarian poison, designed to alienate and engender mistrust and division among employees and make them more amenable to their employer’s control. The feeble excuse offered the Australian public for this unacceptable intrusion is maintaining “national security.” Not so, Ms Stasi Gillard! (story and 1 image)

The CIA finally admits utilising torture on "three" separate occasions, give us a break! ‘Waterboarding,’ a euphemism for administered slow drowning, is not new to the USA. We can safely add at least two zeros to that hysterically absurd CIA figure. American Nazi torturers may have finally learnt what any good book on the subject or an interview with torture victims would have revealed -- ‘information extracted under torture conforms to the torturer's wishes!’ Accuracy has little bearing on information torturers wish to hear – though it is common for torturers to confuse wish-fulfilment with accuracy! Shame on us all for tolerating the needless deaths of millions of innocent children worldwide but especially in Africa. Have we all become heartless PIG Americans? Remember the embargo Clinton placed on Iraq, which killed more children than the Bush invasion and subsequent war? The non-intervention of Condi Rice and John Bolton in South Lebanon resulted in more children killed than military casualties – give war a chance!
