text Iraq/Afghan War Veterans Support WikiLeaks baz, Wednesday, Oct 27 2010, 7:41am
The soldier fighting the (dirty) war on the ground is a far more reliable witness to war than the lying Politicians and Corporate elitists that placed him/her in the line of fire. Veterans of the Iraq and Afghan wars have come out in support of WikiLeaks, while the rabid political right demands that founder member, Julian Assange, is apprehended and packed off to Guantanamo Bay for informing the public of the war crimes and atrocities the US was witness and/or party to! Fortunately, the demented demand to arrest and incarcerate Assange vindicates WikiLeaks’ actions; what utter lunacy lies behind a demand to arrest a man for exposing war criminals? millet_gleaners.jpg image The Global Crisis, The Role and Meaning of Art in Society Caoimhghin Ó Croidheáin via gan, Sunday, Oct 17 2010, 6:27pm
As the current world economic crisis deepens, the role and meaning of art in society changes as more and more people are dragged down by the weight of personal debt, unemployment and poverty. Galleries close and less people can afford to buy art creating a new awareness among artists of the fragility of the art market and the economic system behind it that creates an increasingly alienated and elitist exclusivism. text WikiLeaks' Biggest Document Dump Yet Coming Monday David Knowles via Kismo, Saturday, Oct 16 2010, 7:24pm
Firstly, it should be noted by those unfamiliar with Oz culture that true Australians have an ACUTE sense of FAIR PLAY and JUSTICE -- those cultural characteristics stem from our cruel penal colony past and the need to cooperate in order to survive harsh conditions and overcome the odds.

Exposing heinous criminals, liars and mass murderers is par for the course; we salute Mr Julian Assange and his international team. May all of Washington DC, Wall St, the Pentagon and their servile allies choke on the TRUTH -- and may all the people of the world awaken to the FACT they are LIONS raised as sheep! Ed.

Fed Chairman, 'money for nothing and the world for free!' image U.S. Launches Financial World War Michael Hudson via stan, Wednesday, Oct 13 2010, 6:28am
What is to stop U.S. banks and their customers from creating $1 trillion, $10 trillion or even $50 trillion on their computer keyboards to buy up all the bonds and stocks in the world, along with all the land and other assets for sale in the hope of making capital gains and pocketing the arbitrage spreads by debt leveraging at less than 1 per cent interest cost? This is the game that is being played today. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

operationdarkheart.jpg image 'Operation Dark Heart' Author Alleges 9/11 Cover Up staff report via reed, Wednesday, Oct 13 2010, 5:34am
Judge Napolitano's Ground-breaking interview with Lt. Col, Anthony Shaffer and former CIA Intelligence officer, Michael Scheuer, shines more light on the world's most inept cover-up, the 'Official' 9/11 Report. Shaffer's recently published book, "Operation Dark Heart" was essentially "censored" by the Pentagon -- 10,000 copies of the first run were purchased by the Pentagon in a failed attempt to suppress facts exposing U.S. criminal activity and improprieties in the Iraq and Afghan invasions and occupations. text Sadistic, cowardly Oz Pigs enjoying their 'work!' bluey, Wednesday, Oct 6 2010, 8:25am
If a picture is worth a thousand words then this video is worth millions. I all but went on an indiscriminate Pig killing spree after viewing this sickening video.

You wonder why my reaction? Prior to the invention of Tasers, I was handcuffed, my ankles tied to a chair and mercilessly beaten for six hours by FIVE 'brave' NSW police for a dope infringement. Well, I was once a doper, now I'm permanently altered thanks to the GUTLESS beyond belief, AUSTRALIAN police. Maybe I'm weak or just human but the next Pig that puts a foot wrong in my direction is in for the shock of his very short life!

text Australia's economic growth comes at expense of workers' wages and conditions John McCarthy via stan, Tuesday, Oct 5 2010, 6:39am
THE blowout in the cost of living could be directly blamed on companies and governments shifting financial responsibilities and risks on to workers, according a report released by unions. A report, by the Sydney University Workplace Research Centre, found that while Australia had massive economic growth over the past 40 years, wages had been constrained, costs had eaten up a greater percentage of income and more than two million jobs were now part-time or casual.

text Deceit and the Political Right Jon Faulkner via dasha, Sunday, Oct 3 2010, 7:26am
Without being entirely dismissive of the progressive response to the right's ascendancy it is painfully obvious that words, no matter how eloquent or apt, fall short when arguing the progressive ideology. Republican sophists use rhetorical argument, albeit in the absence of truth, to great success to refute the progressive left.

text Dumping Dollars The Easy Way Bob Chapman via fleet, Thursday, Sep 30 2010, 9:21pm
"Russia is the exception and has thus far failed to use stimulus to weaken its rouble. Every time the IMF tries to suppress gold prices with its gold sales, Russia is right there buying it up, which must infuriate the elitists in Europe and the US. Almost 2/3s of their economy’s growth loss has been due to drought and fires, but with close to $500 billion in foreign exchange, they have no trouble buying gold, which puts those reserves at close to 24 million ounces. It is an easy way to dump dollars.

Remember, metals have no intrinsic value either! image The Inner Workings of the International Gold Market Bob Chapman via fleet, Saturday, Sep 25 2010, 9:28pm
We recently saw gold at $1,300.00 an ounce. That is a long way from $35.00 an ounce on August 15, 1971, just a year shy of 40 years, from when President Nixon closed the gold window. Over the past ten years gold has been up about 20% a year. Shares and mint state graded numismatic coins have certainly outperformed gold bullion. We suppose we’ll know in the final analysis what government manipulation has done to prices and results. We believe that what they have done has been criminal for which they will never be prosecuted. On the other hand buyers have had an unprecedented opportunity to buy gold and silver, bullion, coins and shares at artificially suppressed prices. That condition still exists. Year-to-date in 2010 gold is up about 17%. (story and 1 image)

text Transcript of Speech delivered to the UN General Assembly by the President of Iran via fleet, Thursday, Sep 23 2010, 9:46pm
Western Corporate media goes to great lengths to demonise this man and portray him as some kind of mass murdering maniac, when in fact all the mass murdering that has occurred over the past decade and continues to occur today, has been committed by US/NATO and other servile allies -- FACT!

Read the following speech and judge for yourself. Compare the violent, lying diatribes that issue from the mouths of Western leaders with this man's rational and balanced plea to the world for SANITY and FAIR PLAY!

My only criticism is the slavish homage and other references made to a man-made God (all Gods have been created by men!) However, that fault affects only deluded believers in fantasy and those slaves under the authority of (human) religious leaders, who CLEARLY have no higher interest than blood, guts and themselves; history bears irrefutable proof of that fact! But please, arrive at your OWN conclusions, thinking for yourself has not yet been deemed a crime:
