How to Identify a REAL Protest Movement from a Fake
watson, Saturday, Oct 15 2011, 2:20am
Protest Movements by definition M-O-V-E in clearly defined directions with clearly outlined OBJECTIVES -- propelled of course by clearly defined strategies/plans on how to achieve those objectives.
Regardless of the degree of initial social impact, real protest movements are nevertheless easily recognisable as effectively OPPOSING existing political groups, institutions and ideologies -- they are effective from the start by virtue of the fact they ENGAGE in ACTIVE physical and/or ideological RESISTANCE, opposition/conflict with perceived adversarial political structures/systems or organisations. Encounters between oppositional forces produce unmistakable results -- refer to the historical record for verification. (story and 1 comment)

Occupy the GLOBE!
nano, Thursday, Oct 13 2011, 10:39am
The greatest advantage of leaderless, decentralised, open movements is that they are able to spread much faster than organised, structured movements. All nations and all cultures are connected DIGITALLY, the cyber world is borderless and universal by DEFAULT – unhampered by formulated restrictions and structures it becomes the perfect medium for a borderless, global revolution/movement. People everywhere are able to target a KNOWN, COMMON, GLOBAL ENEMY, Transnational Corporatists and Banksters! Today, these criminal elites rule the world via governments they have bought and thoroughly corrupted. For example, in the past 48 hours the Australian government, AGAINST the WILL of over 60% of the population, LEGISLATED (legally imposed) a Carbon PENALTY economy on the nation for the benefit of Bankers and to the disadvantage of almost everyone else – OUTRAGEOUS! Could the ‘Occupy’ movement be the first Matrix, “there is no spoon,” Revolution?
neo, Tuesday, Oct 11 2011, 2:10am
Nation wide ‘Occupy’ protests are now characterised by their inability to articulate anything coherent. Like all idealists, protesters imagine just “being there” will accomplish their unarticulated objectives – oops, I forgot, they have no defined objectives! Nevertheless, somehow these unarticulated, undefined objectives will be realised – “the power of ONE” will get them through. Where to you may well ask, I’m not ordering lunch at the moment! Computer Virus Hits U.S. Drone Fleet
Noah Shachtman via Kismo, Monday, Oct 10 2011, 7:53am
A computer virus has infected the cockpits of America’s Predator and Reaper drones, logging pilots’ every keystroke as they remotely fly missions over Afghanistan and other warzones. [Really! Editorial advice is the story is not to be taken at face value; "Wired" is a suss source, as verified with the Lamo, Assange and Bradley Manning affair. Technically speaking, it is well known that all remote control computer systems are subject to hacker intervention, though in this instance we doubt authenticity. Most sustained attacks are directed at high yield/reward military satellite systems. Nevertheless, if such a breach has occurred it would be more the result of USAF ineptitudes rather than external hacker skills. The USA continues to trail most nations in the field of Cyber warfare -- closing wide IT gaps in expertise is almost impossible.]

The 1% of the 1% -- The Controllers!
Tony Cartalucci via stan, Sunday, Oct 9 2011, 10:38pm
As Americans begin pouring onto the streets with dissatisfaction, there seems to be some confusion as to the source of the problem. That source is the corporate-financier Oligarchy that has been raping and destroying America and the free world for decades and until now, has done a stealthy job of parasitically feeding from the wealth of America and other nations. However, these parasites are not the "1%." (story and 3 comments and 1 image)

The Dalai Hypocrite Slams China while Ignoring ONE million murdered civilians in Iraq
jose, Sunday, Oct 9 2011, 10:29am
Nothing infuriates like a hypocrite and fraud pretending pious religiosity and there is no greater religious hypocrite and fraud today than the Dalai Lama and that is quite an achievement when we consider the Pope is included in the field. (story and 1 image)

Media Victory Overlooked
quill, Saturday, Oct 8 2011, 12:31pm
I would like to announce that the alternative media has just notched up ANOTHER VICTORY against its Corporate rival. Obama, in his latest press conference was forced to answer questions on the 'OccupyWallStreet' protests -- that event follows coverage by the mass media, which had previously maintained a strict media blackout on all coverage of the protest movement. How does it feel now, lamers, outwitted again? (story and 1 comment)

Afghanistan: 10 Years of NATO Genocide and War Crimes
reed, Saturday, Oct 8 2011, 10:37am
The illegal war and occupation of Afghanistan recently marked its 10 anniversary; yet the core reasons offered by western elites for the invasion and continuing occupation today have no foundation in reality. Indeed, the FBI has never listed Bin Laden as wanted for the 9/11 attacks; nevertheless, Afghanistan was criminally invaded for the benefit of Oil Companies and Banking elites.

The Rudderless ‘Occupy’ Movement
jasper, Friday, Oct 7 2011, 12:08pm
Apologists are out in force making excuses for the lack of political demands and focus PLAGUING the ‘Occupy’ movement; even bourgeois leftist, Naomi Klein, refers to the Occupy protest as “important.” It seems North Americans are so desperate for any opposition to the status quo they are willing to tolerate a CLAYTONS protest movement, which of course is a protest movement without movement! The American Dictatorship
David R. Hoffman via judd, Friday, Oct 7 2011, 9:32am
If you are reading this, the President of the United States has declared you to be a terrorist or enemy combatant. As a result, you will be detained without charge or trial, tortured, and/or extrajudicially executed. You are not entitled to any legal due process, you have no civil rights, and there is absolutely no need for the United States government to prove any of the allegations it has made against you, even if you are a citizen of the United States. -- Barack Obama per Banker and Corporatist ruling elites. Normalising State Murder
bluey, Thursday, Oct 6 2011, 11:26am
While the western world, including the directionless 'Occupy' (yes we can) movement, is distracted with every imaginable contrived artifice, the UNITED STATES EXECUTIVE has just normalised MURDER! However, extrajudicial killing remains a CRIME under every civilised law and convention regardless of whether the perpetrator is a person, State or group.

Beware, be aware!
volk, Thursday, Oct 6 2011, 9:05am
While the focus is on the 'Occupy' movement, our puppet politicians continue to commit crimes in a reduced pressure environment, for example; ordering the summary execution of US citizens (an outrageous criminal action); the ongoing criminal bombing of Libya and the quiet introduction of Carbon Trading are a few extremely important issues which have dropped below the radar.
The question must be asked, what tangible results or changes in the status quo have 'Occupy' protesters effected? The short answer is, NONE!

The Duelling Egos of Alex Jones and David DeGraw
dasha, Wednesday, Oct 5 2011, 10:29am
I would remind ego bruised Jones and DeGraw that the elitist forces they oppose do not openly display petty ego pathologies. Nefarious ruling elites are known to cooperate like true anarchists. The public schoolgirl bickering of Jones and DeGraw is undoubtedly having a detrimental effect on the “Occupy” protest movement. (story and 1 comment and 2 images)

Moves underway to neutralise the wet, unfocused, 'Occupy' Movement
Paul Joseph Watson via gan, Wednesday, Oct 5 2011, 12:12am
The leftist juggernaut MoveOn.org, a Democratic Party front which vehemently backed Obama’s 2008 election campaign, is set to hijack the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protests this week, which is pretty ironic given the fact that the Obama administration is a creature of Wall Street itself. Time Out
baz, Monday, Oct 3 2011, 9:51am
I have been fighting all my life; first with abusive parents then with peers in an abusive education system; then with criminally corrupt police, lawyers and all manner of state officials, hypocritical theologians and other respected paedophiles and aberrants of ‘high’ society. It makes one wonder why they don’t teach hard reality in schools and prepare the young for the injustices of a criminally corrupt world. (story and 2 images and 2 audio files)

Google actively suppressing info on the 'Occupy' Movement
stylus, Sunday, Oct 2 2011, 10:29am
Logs are beginning to indicate a pattern that CIA-Google is actively suppressing data/information on the 'Occupy' movement. Co-instigator of 'OccupyWallStreet' David DeGraw, recently posted similar observations. But should we be surprised that former CEO and current Chairman of Goolge, Eric 'Bilderberg attendee' Schmidt, belongs to an elitist, minority group that has a clear agenda which diametrically opposes the interests of the Democratic Majority -- should we be surprised, indeed?
