Vacuum canister image APEC: the idiocy of major city ‘security’ krill, Monday, Aug 27 2007, 2:00pm
The independent press has just received an unverified report that a chemical agent, designed for atmospheric release, will be utilised by high level security agents FROM ONE OF THE PARTICIPATING NATIONS – no other details were forthcoming! Wind direction notwithstanding, a virulent chemical agent could have a devastating impact on anyone within its effective range. The likely source has been narrowed down to either Russia or the United States. In view of the severe pressure the Bush regime is presently experiencing AMERICA would be the most likely source of the attack. I would add that anonymous, unsubstantiated reports of this nature are usually made by mentally disturbed crank callers – perfect! However, the remote possibility the call is a legitimate warning would only serve to highlight the imbecility of holding this type of event in a major city. (story and 2 images)

Golden microphone, an anachronism image Legendary Oz broadcaster retires with a jibe, not with a whimper! barra, Sunday, Jun 24 2007, 12:42pm
After 55 years on radio and nine prime ministers later, John Laws announces his retirement. The current racist, war criminal, pathologically lying prime minister, John Howard, rang to congratulate Laws for his many years as a public opinion shaper and mass media demagogue [inferred] Laws responded, "I knew it was time to quit last week when I talked to you [Howard] and you called me 'mate'." Between these two men Laws’ comment needs no further elaboration. (story and 1 image)

USS Liberty remembered image Remembering the USS Liberty: Four Decades Later William Hughes via rialator, Saturday, Jun 9 2007, 12:55pm
[Ed. EVERYONE is expendable; the forces that control Washington and most of the world have no national allegiances, these organisations use nationalism and tribalism to achieve their ends, however, it should be clearly understood that these Transnational organisations have only one allegiance, PROFIT -- regardless of the cost in human lives!

The puppet Bush regime is the result of a devolution that started a long time ago; everyone is urged to investigate the USS Liberty and the Gulf of Tonkin 'incidents'. Know the nature of the beast and you will understand the nature of the game.] (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

Guantanamo (illegal) Bay imagePDF Document Hicks Update: Determined to Fight Cleaves Editorial Team, Friday, Mar 2 2007, 9:35pm
An Australian son abandoned by the nation and his government has decided to fight the fabricated charges brought against him by the criminal Bush regime. You bloody little bewdy! Against all odds and after years of psychological and physical torture Hicks proves his mettle. The murdering yanks and the slimy Howard government COULDN’T BREAK OUR LITTLE AUSSIE FIGHTER! One can only imagine the forlorn faces of the Howard servile government that no doubt desperately hoped Hicks would break and accept a plea bargain in time for the elections. The Hicks case as previously stated has all the ingredients to bring down the servile government of John ‘deputy-sheriff’ Howard. (story and 2 comments and 2 images and 1 attached file)

Dick Cheney -- unpopular in Oz image Cheney’s speech at Sydney’s Shangri-la Hotel finn, Thursday, Feb 22 2007, 10:45am
The American Vice-President, Dick Cheney, today delivered his only address to the ‘public’ at the plush Shangri-la Hotel. He will later meet with servile Defence Minister, Brendan Nelson, opposition leader Kevin Rudd and other minor government officials at Victoria Barracks, Paddington. The symbolism of Cheney’s visit in the last days of neo-conservative rule is not lost on Australians; the absence of Prime Minister, John Howard, from the venue was the most notable aspect of the event! text A Handful of Lunatics nano, Saturday, Jan 20 2007, 6:05pm
As the world races to nuclear confrontation in the Middle East the mass media is remarkably quiet on the topic. What is the latest news from the Persian Gulf? Confirmation of the reported build-up of Iranian troops on the Iraqi border required. Kurdish, Turkish and U.S. troop movements are strangely omitted from popular newswires. Follow-up coverage is a thing of the past, what is the latest from the Chinese leadership? THE PUBLIC DEMAND TO BE INFORMED AS IT IS THE PUBLIC WHO WILL DO THE DYING!

exactly.jpg image Bush Challenges Opposition -- A Response! Cleaves Editorial Team, Saturday, Jan 13 2007, 10:53am
In his daily radio address, George W Bush challenged those who oppose his insane route to oblivion, to ‘put up or shut up’. “To oppose everything while proposing nothing is irresponsible," he said, “offer an alternative”. In view of the fact that U.S. Democrats are unable to effectively deal with the situation, we formally and directly accept this challenge and remind Bush that we are aware that this response will be read by him and his neo-cons; indeed, we have been aware for some time that Bush is a regular reader of this site as indeed is Rice and others. There is no avoiding this response! (story and 2 comments and 1 image)

A bulletin on Newsradio Australia, detailed Israeli rehearsals for an attack on Iran! Israeli attack aircraft are flying practise runs to Gibraltar in preparation for a (laser) guided missile attack on Iranian targets; the laser missiles would be followed by a nuclear strike in order to irradiate the target sites! Reference was made to the 1981 strike on an Iraqi target believed at the time to be engaged in developing WMD! (story and 3 comments)

jan11_logo_220.jpg image Close Torture Bay Cleaves Editorial Team, Tuesday, Dec 19 2006, 9:04am
The world today is in no doubt as to the criminal status of the illegal detention centre of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The past three years have not only witnessed unprecedented assaults on the founding principles of the USA by the Bush regime, but also on international law and convention. The government of the USA is clearly rogue, a fact in which its officials delight. The contempt the neo-cons display for their own citizens is only exceeded by the extreme disdain they exhibit toward the international community. Each day that Guantanamo Bay remains operational is a day of unspeakable psychological horror, torture and injustice. (story and 1 image)

Multi-Kulti Art from Tijuas image Australian 'Public' Broadcaster becomes Government Media Outlet Cleaves Editorial Team, Monday, Oct 16 2006, 9:40am
The Australian Public Broadcaster -- "your ABC" -- has been re-shaped to become a government media platform. The 'new' editorial policy is designed to curb the "perceived" bias in presentation, said Mark Scott, the new managing director.

For a very brief nano-second we all thought that Lateline would forego its role as the Liberal Party's mouthpiece -- but no such luck. (story and 1 image)

Harry 'Breaker' Morant -- executed by British Imperialists image Suicide Bomber leef, Sunday, Sep 24 2006, 4:59pm
Perhaps the two most feared words in the English language today are “suicide bomber”; the propaganda machine in the west ensures that these two words continue to strike fear and terror into the hearts of the civilian population. Circumstances occasionally present all of us with unusual opportunities. When a young man who claimed the above distinction wished to make known his story it would have been a dereliction of my profession to refuse the request. The public interest is not served unless both sides of a story are made available. (story and 1 comment and 2 images)

text Hizbullah's victory has transformed the Middle East George Galloway in Beirut, Thursday, Aug 31 2006, 4:32pm
As the smoke clears from the battlefield of the 34-day war in Lebanon, it would be a mistake to count the cost only in fallen masonry and fresh graves. All is changed, changed utterly, by the defeat that the whole of Israel is now debating, from the cabinet through the lively press to the embittered reservists at the falafel stall. Practically the only person in the world who claims Israel won the war is George Bush - and we all know his definition of the words "mission accomplished".

Reality vs Bush image Moussaoui gets life: Bush displays acumen budgie, Wednesday, May 3 2006, 4:12pm
Just when you thought the idiot President (Americans please note) couldn’t top his previous efforts of pure imbecility, he does it again! Bush, responding to the verdict handed down to small fry terrorist, Moussaoui, stated that, “Moussaoui got a life sentence, that means he will spend the rest of his life in jail.” [Doh!] Would the real leaders of the United States please show your faces because hiding behind this cretin is becoming tedious. We would all like to know who is really determining the course of the nation since the Zionists, Wolfowitz and Perle, have jumped ship. [Remember their (now failed) plan to safeguard Israel by duping the US into invading Iraq and eliminating Saddam after the missile attacks on Tel Aviv? Israel now faces a more horrendous nightmare as a direct result of the failures in Iraq. ‘O, what tangled webs!'] (story and 2 images)

text The Public Speaks for Itself gan, Monday, Mar 20 2006, 1:06pm
As mainstream media and unrepresentative governments narrow the scope and range of social discourse, the public network has exploded with millions of ‘voices’ that continue the public discourse in a social space conveniently created by the forces that fear free expression most. The blogosphere is without competition as the primary body of free speech in today’s digital age. It is not unexpected that the content and character of independent speech is in contrast and opposition to the mainstream discourse of minority interests. It would seem that attempts to limit and tailor the social debate have resulted in unexpected consequences. (story and 1 comment)

text Eye of Anarchy dingo, Sunday, Feb 19 2006, 1:02am
Anarchism constantly evades those who would attempt to locate a process in a rigid structural (stodgy/dead) ‘tower’ of categories. Anarchism is a-historical and anti-structuralist by NATURE (it defies definition and thereby remains immune to appropriation). Its resilience stems from its inability to be located or fixed as an ideology or paradigm. Anarchism is essentially a-political – which will no doubt surprise many ‘radicals’. Rest easy in Anarchism – it is everyone's rite-of-passage/existence. Its strength results from its pure dynamism – if it ain’t movin’, it ain’t anarchism! (story and 8 comments)
