Arab Islamists winning propaganda war - International Injustice/Law

What does the Bush/Cheney tag-team of demented nutters hope to achieve by strengthening the cause (and case) of Islamist terrorists? Never has the U.S. seen such incompetence as that displayed by the neo-conservatives!

The first trial of Saddam Hussein was a thorough fiasco. Saddam went to his death like an Arab hero; showing no fear, he displayed a stature above those of the brutes that placed him on trial and taunted him on the gallows. The U.S. hoped to score a huge propaganda victory but the outcome couldn’t have been worse for Uncle Sam!

The people of the world witnessed Saddam going to his death with unflinching conviction and bravery. People could not help but make the comparison with the three men who led the coalition that invaded Iraq, Bush, Blair and Howard! Imagine Howard or Blair on the gallows whimpering and shitting ‘blue lightning’ or Bush and Cheney screaming and making desperate protestations! You get the point, as the WORLD GOT THE POINT!

Have the dumbarse yanks learnt anything from previous experience, not on your life?

They have given the accused men, alleged to have engineered the 9/11 attack, a propaganda platform straight from Islamist heaven! The illegal trial of the tortured accused can only end in total disaster for he USA! The ‘trial’ is such a sham the average banjo-playing, hillbilly is embarrassed!

Nonetheless, the accused, who desperately seek death -- martyrdom in their view -- will have scored a huge propaganda victory for their cause. Their presence in the dock as torture victims is enough to sink any perceived benefits the moron yanks hope to gain.

The only hope of an acceptable outcome for the U.S. would be a trial under existing criminal law, where the accused retain rights afforded them from centuries of civilised legal evolution. But of course that cannot be, as the 9/11 attacks could not possibly have been executed by a bunch of Arab camel herders without some external digital (navigational) intervention, notwithstanding the extremely neat collapse of the towers on their footprint -- one collapse WT7, suffered no impact whatsoever! Yes, a real trial could blow the whole 9/11 plot wide open.

So we’re damned if we don’t and we’re surely damned if we do.
