Serbia: an unlikely alliance

As predicted, Milosevic’s Socialists (partisans) have rejected their traditional (cetnik) nationalist enemy and will form a government with Tadic’s west-leaning liberal democrats. The extreme left and extreme right are forming a very shaky alliance, one destined to be dysfunctional from the outset but such is the nature of Balkan politics – shaky alliances are the norm not the exception in Balkan politics.

However, it is not the nature of the new Serbian government at issue, it is what both Serbian parties will jointly do to remove foreign occupiers from their sacred homeland and re-establish Serbian sovereignty in Kosovo -- in that endeavour ALL SERBS (everywhere) ARE UNITED!

Economic issues are secondary, as the EU will flood Serbia with funds and loans in order to soften it toward the criminals who have formed an illegitimate government in the SERBIAN province of Kosovo.

Thaci and his hoodlums face scandal after scandal and are becoming an international embarrassment for everyone who has supported these vile gangsters – their days are numbered. Albanian hoodlums should have known they were only a means to an end and are now totally expendable! We note the decision by NATO not to allow Kosovo to form an independent army, "KFOR is here; it's here to stay," said NATO chief Jaap de Hoop Scheffer during a visit to Pristina on Monday.

It was clear from the start, faced with pressure and bad relations with Russia and economic powerhouse China, insignificant Kosovar hoodlums playing at government in Pristina are easily dismissed!

Nevertheless, this region has never been stable and could easily erupt into another conflict if the situation is not handled correctly; put simply Kosovo must LEGALLY remain SERBIAN if future stability is sought.

The future for Serbia and the EU promises to be very interesting indeed; anyone who thinks they are able to predict more than short term trends in this region is deluded.
