McCain also laid the entire blame for Saakashvili’s CRIMINAL attack on S. Ossetia onto Russia! However, he – intentionally or otherwise -- spelled out that the ‘battle’ in the region is really for oil/gas/pipelines -- ENERGY! America should have considered the consequences of flouting international law and convention in the Balkans/Kosovo; the West set the precedent; they have very little to complain about today. Russia is merely following the lead set by America. It’s purely by geo-political chance that Russia got the better part of the bargain. You only have yourself to blame, ‘Jethro!’

After updating the house on the condition of injured troops and attempting (unsuccessfully) to justify Australia's presence in Afghanistan, Defence Minister Fitzgibbon failed to inform the house of the clear correlation between Afghan citizens caged in dog pens and humiliated by Australian troops and the latest attacks on our SAS! If the minister took the trouble to read a job description of military service he may have realised that fake emotions are inappropriate and unwarranted in the circumstances!

Furthermore, our soldiers today are fully cognisant of the fact they fight wars for Corporations and Bankers; they die so Allan Moss can take home $135 million in severance pay!
