Asia leads in prosecutions of corrupt leaders – USA take note!

Whatever happened to moral leadership in America – if it ever existed? Not a peep from Obama, the black marionette president elect, regarding actions against Cheney, who is without peer as the most culpable criminal of the 21st century – not forgetting the crimes of Bush and other senior members of the regime!

The dunce and the pipsqueak, respectively!
The dunce and the pipsqueak, respectively!

Asia now leads the US economically and morally! America, former moral crusader of the world is today the most heinous criminal nation, with over one million innocent civilian deaths to its ‘credit!’

It is simply IMPOSSIBLE to hide or DISMISS the criminality of Cheney-Bush and other members of the administration. Silence on the subject and inaction condemns the Obama presidency before it has officially begun – good start, Barack, you puppet!

Take a que from Thailand and Taiwan; former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, has been found guilty of corruption and sentenced in absentia to two years jail by the Thai judiciary – a good start in the circumstances. British authorities have refused the former PM entry into the UK after the historic trial – they have also requested that British carriers refuse to ferry the former Thai PM anywhere. One may wonder whether their decision is based on moral considerations or the huge sums of stolen money Thaksin invested in the UK, which of course would be forfeited in the event he is unable to regain entry!

Taiwanese prosecutors won a request last night to have the former president of Taiwan, Chen Shui-bian, held on corruption charges; Mr Chen now faces charges of money laundering, stealing government funds, forgery and accepting bribes. If we added subverting the Constitution and contravening the Geneva Convention the charges would fit Cheney like a glove!

The world is moving on and there is no escaping that hard reality. Corrupt western nations are left to stew in a mire of their own making. It’s about time Americans realised their Emperor has no clothes, not a stitch! Those in high places must be held accountable; no one is above the law, as Asia has clearly demonstrated!

Yet Americans continue in their denial -- we would not expect any different from die hard criminals and rustics. However, be aware that persisting in folly will come at ever-greater cost in the future; the power centres of the world are inexorably shifting East.

It should therefore come as no surprise when America and its few allies are politely shown the door by more civilised nations seeking mutually cooperative trade and other arrangements.

The Australian prime minister is not known for his independent thought or actions; however, his recent action exposing the FACT that Bush is a puppet and a moron can do nothing but enhance his position internationally, especially with Australia’s larger trading partners. Local politicians have pre-empted America’s future protectionist policies and in consideration of our unwavering support in unpopular wars, to have sub-standard, antiquated, jet fighters imposed on our air force and then to be faced with trade barriers, is just one ‘straw’ too many!

Perhaps we should invite the Russians and Chinese to build communications bases next to Pine Gap in order to send a clear message that we should NOT be taken for granted by anyone! In a rapidly changing world, Australia can ill-afford to cling to a sinking ship or blindly follow an ally that takes it for granted.

Wonder not why Pacific and other small, resource-rich nations around the globe would prefer to do business with Asian regimes that display some integrity. Allying oneself to criminals and gangster nations would clearly be disadvantageous and counter-productive in today’s world.

Cheney has already been given the ‘Bum’s rush’ by numerous nations he recently visited in Central Asia! The writing is on the wall, Uncle. But then you could never see the nose on your face, who would expect you to a see a wall falling on your head?

If the USA is to be taken seriously again it must demonstrate to the world, in the most unambiguous manner, that it is serious about reform; holding the most notorious criminals of the century to account would be a good start!

At the risk of being accused of 'audacity' we would suggest another book project for Barack Obama; “The Challenge of Integrity,” would be a most appropriate title!
