Leigh Sales, the CIA agenda and Lateline Australia
by peptide Friday, Apr 10 2009, 4:24am
international / social/political / commentary

Before we mention exactly how the producer of ‘our ABC’s’ Lateline, Tim Palmer, ‘acquired’ his Tertiary qualifications from UTS -- did you think for a minute the ‘assistance’ extended you by extremely accommodating lecturers (particularly Kurt B) went unnoticed (?) -- we would draw attention to the current servile relationship the Rudd government has with a nation that has a history of pressuring our ‘leaders’ to comply with their every demand, no matter how insane, impossible or downright idiotic.

Those demands once extended to a plan to expose our troops to highly toxic and lethal Vx and Sarin nerve gas in Queensland at the time of the Vietnam War! Serving PM, Harold Holt, rightly refused America’s insane proposal and disappeared while skin diving shortly thereafter! One wonders why the yanks didn’t test it on their own troops, doh! “No better friend,” ay! [You arseholes!]

Surely we would expect our leaders to have developed some backbone since; but alas, the ‘leaderships’ of Howard and Rudd tell a story of shameless servility, subservience and ACQUIESCENCE to the mass murdering Americans.

As the rest of the world rejects the criminal policies of America and its allies, particularly advocates in the UK and Spain, what do we witness happening in Oz? More of the same internationally embarrassing ‘leadership’ behaviour made infamous by former PM, John ‘gutless’ Howard.

It is not enough that Howard, the most cowardly leader the world has ever known, damaged our once proud reputation now we must endure the additional shame of Rudd and his ministers carefully treading the same custard and shit-soaked footprints of Howard; which brings us to the latest repugnant example!

While discussing important matters of LAW, JUSTICE and SOCIAL REFORM at one of our meetings, a few of the group, who were watching Lateline, began choking on their beers; the reason was a question, presenter Leigh ‘star-spangled’ Sales, put to our besieged Defence Minister, Joel Fitzgibbon:

“What fundamentals do you want to see in place before Australia agrees to send any more troops to Afghanistan?”

This question SELLS a ‘given’ to the public – the CERTAINTY of more Oz troops in Afghanistan -- based on a feeble qualifier! A real journalist may have asked, ‘will the Rudd government comply with American wishes for an increased Australian combat presence in Afghanistan?’ Or ‘why must we constantly sacrifice our troops in America’s FAILED, criminal wars?’ Too pointed perhaps, but I’m sure we all get the BIASED drift and pathetic attempt at propaganda from Leigh Sales, the Oz ‘journalist’ most favoured by the rabid American right!

Credits without attending classes and cheated qualifications are one thing, Mr Tim Palmer, but must the Australian public suffer the spin and feeble sell of this lacklustre, amateur, presenter? Her 'question' to the minister was not only an insult to the intelligence of the 'refined ABC audience' but it also offended the sensibilities of my beer drinking mates.

For those not familiar with the tactics of our American ‘ally,’ I refer you to the links and videos below:
