Embers of Empire: Blair in Oz

Blair’s speech in Oz parliament today (27 March) was notable for its familiarity – nothing new, same ol’ same ol’ shite. Wait! I think there was something that may have been a Freudian slip in reverse, Blair pleaded with a crumbling support base not to ostracise the yanks as they may “lift their drawbridge” (what a laugh). In order to survive, the voracious beast of Capitalism MUST feed off weaker nations, destroy the environment, wreak havoc and wage war to sustain its (military) economy. The world needs America like it needs a hole in the head; by all means Tony, let the yanks implode on themselves; allow the blood-sucking star-spangled-fangs to sink into its own neck; it would be a most entertaining spectacle.

U.S. Government Capitulates – I wonder why?

Analysts noted a tired tone in Blair’s voice and a rhetoric that is stale – ‘there was panic at the station, the support base had got away’! Bush is finished and Blair sought out Howard before the inevitable push to ignominy that waits patiently for the trio of deception. Three chairs on the Titanic; the dock is waiting and the people are moving. [I almost forgot the ‘minor’ demonstration of half a million Latinos and others in the U.S.A. Revolution is in the blood of all hispanic people.]

Faced with media coverage of the demos, the neo-cons either took refuge in denial (as usual) or ‘dropped their bundles’. “You mean to say we are not in touch with the people”, cries Dubya, “but you promised me everything would go alright after the 9/11 fix”. But there’s no one in the room except Dubya, everyone is running faster than the Zionists, Wolfowitz and Perle, but Rice is gaining ground, though she may fall on her face before the end of the day. O well, ‘there is nothing new under the sun’.

The option for the ultra-right and the neo-conservatives is to capitulate to the people or have the people transform into an international tsunami, did I forget to mention Thailand and France? The writing is on your forehead! But it’s in Beijing where the heart of the dragon is rousing. The borders of the world will soon be so many meaningless lines on a map.

Minority rule is a dead man falling – just hasn't hit the ground yet!
