The recent platform disaster in the Gulf of Mexico clearly indicates that oil companies have learnt nothing from their Australian experience; they ALL clearly require tight regulation, as the cost of their polluting spills far exceeds the filthy profits they generate – it’s very bad local economics, dummies.
Has the penny dropped yet, sheeple? It’s Y/OUR nation and OUR coastline these reprehensible bastards are destroying – notwithstanding the millions of innocent human beings they murder in order to obtain more oil fields around the globe.
I have spoken to a number of engineers regarding oil platform safety measures. It may be an added expense at the time of drilling/construction BUT safety measures could easily be included in the overall plan and construction of all off-shore platforms/rigs – only minimal spillage would occur in the worst case scenario. This is not news to greedy oil companies, they have known it for some time but THEY have chosen to minimise, at OUR environment’s EXPENSE platform drilling and construction costs! Well, that’s why we elect REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENTS to ACT IN the nation’s and people’s BEST interests – you reading this Obama, Rudd, Brown and the rest of the paper mâché, traitorous scum that currently occupy high office in capitals throughout the world?

In a staged press conference, Obama performed before news cameras making 'impressive (meaningless) hand gestures' in front of a map of the spill -- a media tactic that convinces FEEBLE MINDS only!
IT is the JOB/responsibility of Federal and State GOVERNMENTS to REGULATE all industries that are capable of causing environmental catastrophes -- didn't ya know? The FAILURE IS YOURS and that of State Governors, Baa'raack, you reprehensible, lying COWARD - at least admit it, face the music then do your best in the circumstances!
The People are AWARE that Government regulations/impositions have robbed them of their Civil Liberties and subjected them to deadly X-Ray scans at airports etc etc -- there is no avoiding your large share of RESPONSIBILITY, but then how does one controlled by OIL COMPANIES regulate oil companies?
