Obama Libya Speech noted for Open Fascist Declaration
by judd Thursday, Mar 31 2011, 9:37am
international / social/political / commentary

Obama’s speech on Monday was a shocker! Not for its failure to convince anyone that Oil, gas and eliminating Gaddafi are not the primary objectives of the Libyan intervention, but for the fact that ruling Corporatist and Banker elites in the US no longer find it necessary to hide their true character or intentions.

Obama, puppet president
Obama, puppet president

The revealing line in an otherwise cumbersome, meandering speech was like a cymbal-clash shattering a funeral silence. Obama justified future unilateral military action -- without approval from Congress -- on the basis of the usual arguments: “I will never hesitate to use our military swiftly, decisively, and unilaterally when necessary to defend our people, our homeland, our allies, and our core interest.” No surprises here, but Obama quickly followed with an historically familiar, but shocking nevertheless, ‘justification’ for future unilateral military intervention; “when our safety is not directly threatened, but our interests and our values are!” [Emphasis added.]

The (intentional) message couldn’t have been clearer; the US will engage in a pre-emptive attack on anyone it chooses, whenever it chooses and for whatever reasons it chooses; “values” is a VERY BROAD header, notwithstanding that “interests” is also broad but is generally interpreted as Corporate/PROFIT related!

In effect the US executive has given itself carte blanche to invade, murder and steal whatever it wishes from whomsoever it decides to target – any nation, group or individual! [Are you reading this, Russia and China?]

It is NOW a matter of urgency that the WORLD familiarise itself with American ‘values.’

One need only review the recent past to gain a VERY CLEAR UNDERSTANDING.

President Bush regarded the American Constitution and Bill of Rights as, “pieces of paper” and did everything in his (Cheney’s) power to make the Executive a law unto itself and answerable to no one. The ‘values’ that directly flowed from increased Executive power and minimised accountability are; pursuing a pre-emptive military strike on Iraq based on LIES, the consequent deaths of over ONE MILLION INNOCENT CIVILIANS, the displacement of over three million civilians and the destruction of a once viable State!

The USA is now indisputably the world’s leading civilian killing, therefore terrorist, nation -- FACT! Should we add legalising TORTURE and (illegal) INDEFINITE DETENTION without charge or trial; how about intrusive surveillance on America citizens or the loss of rights and freedoms our forefathers battled and died to implement and preserve? The above are the REAL ‘values’ of TODAY’S America, THE HISTORICAL RECORD bears TRAGIC TESTIMONY to the FACT!

The list of American criminal activity increases by the day; Drone warfare is by nature a crime against humanity, as it indiscriminately kills INNOCENT civilians, yet current US ‘values’ allow CIA agents and the military to launch deadly missiles FULLY COGNISANT of the fact that innocent people will die. What do you think of REAL American ‘values’ NOW, people? The bitter taste in your mouth is the new flavour of American F-A-S-C-I-S-M; no difference exists betweens Nazi ideology and that expressed by Obama in his speech Monday, none whatsoever!

So, where do the WORLD’S moral, law abiding MAJORITY stand in relation to current American values? DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED, of course!

In no way or by any demented stretch of the imagination do we support the US in its current role as the world's leading criminal nation. However, we do support bringing those responsible for mass murder and other crimes against humanity to trial. We also support RESTORING REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY and the rule of LAW.

As for your speech Obama -- you reprehensible PUPPET -- you can blow it and Y-O-U-R criminal ‘values’ out your arse!

Oz PM jumps on American "values" bandwagon
by suk Thursday, Mar 31 2011, 9:26pm

The shamelessly servile, groveling and submissive Oz Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, accused Oz Greens leader and sexual deviant Bob 'poof' Brown, of not reflecting Australian values -- she was not referring to his homosexuality! Gillard made this accusation immediately after Obama's Libya ('values') speech -- do You believe in coincidences?

See link for lesson in servility and spinelessness.

Gillard herself has already LOST the next election -- of that outcome there is absolutely no doubt BUT America got its huge military bases and that's all that counts -- Gillard is actually guilty of TREASON, she had no mandate to compromise the nation and make it a PRIME nuclear target. The 'secondary' matter of making Oz a primary nuclear target was not even mentioned by ANY local commentator or media outlet; such is the pervasive influence of the elites, at this point in time -- though that situation could change in a flash and the elites know it!

Maybe Gillard is suffering from a 'values' dilemma herself - she clearly has no traditional sovereign Oz identity and feverishly laps the last drop of wet propaganda Washington offers. Her media managers are clearly 5th rate and its all but over for her. The party would do well to rectify this problem well before the next election, unless of course they wish to emulate the thrashing they got in NSW.

Astute politicians know that a REAL leader who reflects traditional Oz cultural values and represents the people instead of the Corporations or US interests would romp into office -- major party 'cocksuckers' (though this is not the language that would be utiised if such an event were to occur) -- beware!

This is not America and the Labor Party would do well to understand that American methods gain very little traction over here -- astute media managers are well aware of this FACT. Howard utilised local media assistance and maintained popularity for years, including his use of the obscene race card, but they knew it would work, and it did!

Times and tactics change but methods do not -- good luck, LOSERS!

American Inverted values and Politics
by topsy turvy Thursday, Mar 31 2011, 10:04pm

US Congress' after the Fact Authorisation of U.S. military intervention in Libya -- the DO FIRST then ask LATER politics of the new American Executive.

Hey, dreamboats! Are you aware that the above act relegates the Constitution to the status of toilet paper, or at best, to a historical curiosity. The lawless cabals couldn't be happier!

O, I almost forgot, NATO's military capability is 90% American, how does it feel dummies? God, they are dumb over there -- staggeringly stupid, in FACT!

Private Armies to Remove Gaddafi in the event of 'stalemate'
by Michael Evans via gan - The Australian Thursday, Mar 31 2011, 10:43pm

A US plan to send in mercenaries or 'contractors' like Blackwater/Xe to remove Gaddafi confirms that the Libyan mission is not "humanitarian," it's an entirely commercial (Oil) and political (regime change) enterprise!

The US has all but spelled out the ugly truth, but as we know, the average American's ability to spell is directly proportional to his/her level of gullibility, so the US administration is forced to expose its searing Hypocrisy, LIES and double standards at every turn -- 'don't worry, we'll send in Corporate mercenary killers to fight ANOTHER Corporate Oil appropriation war!'

Outrageous plunder and resource appropriation under the thin guise of the usual humanitarian intervention -- but few are buying it these days!

Report follows:

PRIVATE contractors could be sent by the US to Libya to help rebels fighting Muammar Gaddafi under plans being considered in the event of a stalemate in the conflict.

The move comes as Gaddafi forces recaptured a strategic oil town and closed in on another major eastern city.

Rebels have pleaded for ground support after they lost nearly all the territory gained since international air strikes began.

US President Barack Obama has not ruled out shipments of arms to the opponents of the dictator, although critics fear that such a move might lead to the deployment of ground troops to offer training and support to the disparate rebel groups.

A senior former Pentagon official has told The Times that one option to be discussed was the use of contractors instead of troops.

"This has worked well in the past, such as when the US company MPRI provided military training for the Croatian Army in 1994 in the civil war with the Serbs," the former official said.

Mr Obama has pledged that US ground troops will not be sent to Libya, but the use of contractors to train the rebels would circumvent that public commitment.

"The private sector has plenty of experience in this sort of work and it doesn't even need to be training on the shooting end of the war, they could be used to provide logistical support to get the rebels more organised," the source said.

The CIA has inserted operatives into Libya to make contact with rebels, The New York Times reported on Wednesday.

Western powers kept up the pressure to force Gaddafi out with new air strikes in other parts of Libya.

Amid hints that they may arm opposition forces, intense negotiations behind the scenes continued to find a country to give haven to Libya's leader of more than 40 years.

Even as it advanced militarily, Gaddafi's regime suffered a blow to its inner circle with the apparent defection of foreign minister Moussa Koussa.

Koussa flew from Tunisia to an airport outside London and announced he was resigning from his post, according to a statement from the British government.

Moussa Ibrahim, a Libyan government spokesman in Tripoli, denied that the foreign minister has defected saying he was in London on a "diplomatic mission".

It was not immediately possible to confirm either statement with Koussa or people close to him.

Gaddafi's justice and interior ministers resigned shortly after the uprising began last month, but Koussa would be the first high-profile resignation since the international air campaign began.

Air strikes have neutralised Gaddafi's air force and pounded his army, but his ground forces remain far better armed, trained and organised than the opposition.

The shift in momentum back to the government's side is hardening a US view that the poorly equipped opposition is probably incapable of prevailing without decisive Western intervention - either an all-out US-led military assault on regime forces or a decision to arm the rebels.

In Washington, congressional Republicans and Democrats peppered senior administration officials with questions about how long the US will be involved in Libya, the costs of the operation and whether foreign countries will arm the rebels.

NATO is in the process of taking over control of the air strikes, which began as a US-led operation.

Diplomats said they have given approval for the commander of the NATO operation, Canadian General Charles Bouchard, to announce a handover today.

Gaddafi's forces have adopted a new tactic in light of the pounding air strikes have given their tanks and armoured vehicles, a senior US intelligence official said.

They've left some of those weapons behind in favour of a "gaggle" of "battle wagons": minivans, sedans and 4WDs fitted with weapons, said the official, who spoke anonymously in order to discuss sensitive US intelligence on the condition and capabilities of rebel and regime forces.

Rebel fighters also said Gaddafi's troops were increasingly using civilian vehicles in battle.

The change not only makes it harder to distinguish Gaddafi's forces from the rebels, it also requires less logistical support, the official said.

The official said air strikes had degraded Gaddafi's forces since they were launched March 19, but the regime forces still outmatch those of the opposition "by far," and few members of Gaddafi's military have defected lately.

The disparity was obvious as government forces pushed back rebels about 160 kilometres in just two days.

The rebels had been closing in on the strategic city of Sirte, Gaddafi's hometown and a bastion of support for the longtime leader, but under heavy shelling they retreated from Bin Jawwad on Tuesday and from the oil port of Ras Lanouf yesterday.

Gaddafi's forces were shelling Brega, another important oil city east of Ras Lanouf. East of the city in Ajdabiya, where many rebels had regrouped, Colonel Abdullah Hadi said he expected the loyalists to enter Brega last night.

"I ask NATO for just one aircraft to push them back. All we need is air cover and we could do this. They should be helping us," Hadi said.

Gaddafi's forces also have laid land mines in the eastern outskirts of Adjabiya, an area they held from March 17 until Saturday, when air strikes drove them west, according to Human Rights Watch.
