The High Cost of Political Subservience

[Updated]

The Oz PM, Julia Gillard, is about as popular as a fart in a lift at the moment. Her blind obedience to Wall Street and Washington's wishes to implement a back-breaking Carbon Tax is the primary reason the Australian public have rejected her. But as stated previously, she is NOT representative of the people, in fact, she regards locals with such contempt that she imagined she could REVERSE a previous promise never to introduce a Carbon Tax and maintain her viability.

Duplicitous US lackey, Gillard
Duplicitous US lackey, Gillard

Aussies are less forgiving of traitorous politicians than the Americans. A very clear GOODBYE message from the people of Australia has been sent to Corporate lackey and Goldman Sachs errand girl, Julia -- if you prefer G Sachs and Washington over locals, Ms Gillard, we suggest you fuck off back to America and bloody-well stay there!

What is difficult to comprehend is how America continues to misunderstand Oz culture. Even to the extent that Rudd and Gillard were ordered to implement a regressive Internet Censorship policy and a penalty Carbon Tax, respectively. Two clearly suicidal policies for any leader to pursue in Oz, but New York and Washington insisted -- regardless of political cost.

Howard was/is a loathsome coward and Rudd a pathological narcissist but both had support from the community. Gillard, however, has never connected with the Australian people and clearly has no idea how to. Federal Labor will be slaughtered at the polls if Gillard leads the party to the next election. A defeat similar to that suffered by NSW Labor is highly probable.

Now here's the dilemma; should the Party return to its roots and connect with the local population or continue to run errands for Washington and pay the price?

It will be interesting to see if Washington continues to pursue extremely unpopular policies in Oz, which would see lackey Oz politicians thrown out of office on their ear or whether they will allow Oz politicians to determine their own course and survive.

We shall see!

Former PM Kevin Rudd revealed on national television last night that Gillard, his deputy at the time, and Treasurer, Wayne Swan, urged him to 'dump the ETS' altogether -- a signature policy for Rudd. Rudd unwisely complied with the demands. Then in classic political treachery Gillard stabbed him in the back when the public rightly became disillusioned and turned against Rudd, perfect!

Rudd was philosophical about the incident last night but many months have elapsed since that treacherous event. Rudd's disclosure of the sordid inner workings of the Party and the treacherous part his two most senior ministers played, will no doubt impact adversely on the Party and Gillard in particular. It seems that hell hath no fury like a duped and usurped narcissistic former PM!

Rudd also stated that the Party had lost touch with the people and was imploding due to petty ego brawls and infighting in the ranks!

Gillard responded today as best she could in the circumstances, "I do not believe that it's proper to discuss confidential 'discussions' between cabinet colleagues,” she said. No doubt! Especially when her duplicity and lack of integrity has been hung on display for all to see!

It is clear the Labor Party continues in self-destruct mode; Gillard's lack of public appeal and her shameless servility to the US (Carbon Tax) is now plain to see. In addition her obvious inability to connect with the people has doomed the Party to defeat regardless of who leads the opposition -- are you reading this, moderate Malcolm?

However, the population can take heart, as the SORDID TRUTH and LACK of INTEGRITY within the Labor Party is now on public display. Only a fool would henceforth vote for either of the two major (bought) political parties.

RESTORE the NATION, VOTE for representative INDEPENDENTS and community leaders in every election until REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY is once again established as the preferred form of government in Australia.

the best part for me was the fact that the US ambassador was also on the panel last night and witnessed first hand self-destructive Oz politics in action. His next report to Washington would be interesting reading -- LOL.

clueless Washington just doesn't get it with Oz, never have, never will .. if they 're not careful they could lose both parties to independent politicians that represent the interests of the Oz people ... imagine if real democracy, majority rule, were re-established in Oz ... could have major repercussions for the Western world.

there is no shortage of capable independent leaders in Oz -- the culture breeds them!

'Government visibly falling apart on Live Television'
by Malcolm Farr via stan - Herald Sun (Oz) Monday, Apr 4 2011, 10:47pm

JULIA Gillard is accusing predecessor Kevin Rudd of revealing private ministerial conversations and is refusing to match him.

The Prime Minister today said she did not believe it was proper to "discuss confidential discussions between cabinet colleagues".

Ms Gillard was responding to questions about statements by her Foreign Minister, Mr Rudd, last night when he said some ministerial colleagues had wanted to "kill the ETS as a future proposition for the country".

"I couldn't abide that," Mr Rudd told ABC TV.

Shadow attorney general George Brandis today said Mr Rudd had been talking about "deep splits within the cabinet over a flagship policy issue".

"I have never seen ... a government visibly falling apart on live television," said Senator Brandis.

The former prime minister had not revealed confidential discussions which had taken place in cabinet meetings, sources supporting him told news.com.au today.

The sources said Mr Rudd was referring to conversations outside the cabinet room with ministerial colleagues.

However, on the program he did say it would not be "stretching the truth too far" to say the option of dumping the ETS had been discussed in cabinet.

One source said Mr Rudd had taken the opportunity to show he had given thought to how he had run government and acknowledge some errors.

His soul searching, however, has not pleased all his colleagues. Whether or not he revealed cabinet deliberations, some Labor colleagues believe he blabbed on unnamed ministers.

Ms Gillard today said she had on "a number of occasions" answered questions about whether she had lobbied for the ETS to be dropped about 12 months ago. She said: "I'll leave that to the historians".

"I've answered that question on a number of occasions and I'm going to give exactly the same answer today," Ms Gillard told reporters.

"I do not believe that it's proper to discus confidential discussions between cabinet colleagues.

"But I have always believed that we needed to tackle climate change.

"We went to the 2007 election saying to this nation we needed to price carbon, and end up a nation having an Emissions Trading Scheme. I went to the 2010 election saying precisely that.

"And that is what we will get to by pricing carbon."

Shadow treasurer Joe Hockey was convinced Mr Rudd was starting a bid for regaining the leadership.

"I would suspect Kevin Rudd is applying to be Prime Minister, there's no doubt about that, no doubt at all," Mr Hockey said.
