American puppet president Obama and the reprehensibly servile Australian PM, Julia Gillard, have legal backgrounds and so are clearly AWARE of the legal implications of their actions. Both have PUBLICLY declared the criminal 'guilt' of Julian Assange and Bradley Manning (respectively) PRIOR to any trial or even a charge being laid in the instance of Assange.
Obama’s latest comment that Bradley Manning “broke the law” not only affronts due legal process and the Western Legal System it HIGHLIGHTS the FACT that CRIMINAL forces have taken control of most (if not all) western democracies. [From a strictly legal perspective, Manning would be exonerated on the basis that the nation’s LEADER, occupying the nation’s highest office, pre-judged the case and condemned him prior to any trial.]
We know that ‘civil’ [look it up] society cannot exist without the IMPARTIAL operation of the LAW.
It is well known that legal operations are far from perfect, as is easily demonstrated by the disparities in sentencing for similar offences; however, in its imperfection the law has been able to maintain civil society for a few hundred years.
Today, however, we WITNESS State leaders, most of whom are lawyers, breaching legal codes and due process – the most important of which is the PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE!
The very foundation of society/LAW is subverted if this extremely CRUCIAL principle is abandoned in favour of expedition. State leaders are clearly aware of the impact of their public statements, so we must ask WHY they would consciously subvert the LAW and legal process.
The circumvention/subversion of due process by the highest officers of State, as is evidenced by the existence of ‘excised’ Australian refugee detention centres and the infamous Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, indicates that forces exist that favour expedition and function above or behind the LAW. Furthermore, it is becoming increasingly evident that Western leaders, in a range of nations, seem to be ‘reading’ policy from the same policy ‘script!’ It is therefore incumbent on the majority in democratic nations to ensure that UNREPRESENTATIVE forces have not CORRUPTED seats of government and critical State Institutions. I need not labour the point as global social awareness is rapidly increasing today.
However, the aspect that is usually overlooked by some commentators is that corrupt governments and their corporatist overlords are offering unprecedented amounts of evidence for future corruption trials. Let the criminal filth that have plunged the world into needless wars, chaos and mayhem be tried and the guilty hanged for their murderous crimes. People’s Courts need only follow legal prescriptions and due process to convict the culpable. The evidence of State corruption by Bankers and Corporations is both overwhelming and criminally compromising -- large amounts of evidence exist in the public domain today, how much more is secreted in private files?
Justice will be served once again and the INTEGRITY of legal institutions RESTORED, as moral and ethical civilised societies cannot survive without an independent, IMPARTIAL legal system.
