Classic American Misinformation
by stace Monday, May 23 2011, 11:13pm
international / mass media / commentary

An AFP wire headline titled, “Australia reaffirms commitment to Afghanistan,” released today, couldn’t be further from the truth or more INCORRECT.

It should read, ‘servile Oz PM, Julia Gillard, shameless American gusher, unrepresentative, duplicitous fishwife, slavishly obeys every whim and instruction from Washington!’ Fortunately for Australia this woman only represents herself and a few labour politicians who have yet to wake to the fact that she is a monumental Carbon Con/Tax LOSER and brazen LIAR disliked by the majority of Australians.

To date she has signed off on five MAJOR US bases, not monitoring installations but FULL scale colonial military outposts with all associated ordnance and military personnel, which makes Oz a PRIMARY NUCLEAR TARGET in the event of a conflict with OUR Asian neighbours -- a fact she dutifully avoided mentioning. Notwithstanding the reality that America is the most self-interested, criminal nation on the planet and could care less about the fate of the Oz nation -- much less the fate of local lackey politicians.

As if that travesty is not enough to doom any chance her Party may have had in the next election, she is desperately attempting to implement a Wall St/Corporatist – Goldman Sachs -- PENALTY Carbon economy onto the debt burdened population. These two political crucifixions SHE pursues WITHOUT a MANDATE from the people – she will no doubt suffer the consequences of ignoring majority wishes and opinion in the next election but her American overlords could care less, it’s a policy they are desperate to implement and both traitorous major parties in Oz are at their service, as recent political history clearly indicates.

We needn’t labour the treasonous, unrepresentative, HUGELY UNPOPULAR point, as Gillard does all the hard work of destroying any credibility her party may have had.

As for the 'geniuses' in Washington that persist in using American ‘scripts/methods’ in Oz, find yourselves some good cultural analysts – what works over there doesn’t cut it here, you doodle dummies. We are a highly educated and socially aware society easily able to see through facile American LIES and propaganda.

Australia reaffirms commitment to Afghanistan

SYDNEY — Prime Minister Julia Gillard insisted Tuesday that Australia would see its mission through in Afghanistan despite losing another soldier in the conflict on a day that saw five others wounded.

Decorated commando Sergeant Brett Wood, 32, lost his life when an improvised explosive device detonated on Monday, taking the overall number of Australian deaths in the conflict to 24.

A second soldier suffered life-threatening wounds in the blast and a third was seriously hurt, Defence Force chief Angus Houston said.

In a separate incident, three Australians were wounded in a gunfight with insurgents.

"He was a magnificent soldier," Houston said of Wood, who was serving his third deployment to Afghanistan.

"He was also a decorated warrior," he added, citing the sergeant's Medal for Gallantry awarded in 2006 after leading a commando team in extremely hazardous circumstances in Afghanistan's Chora Valley.

Wood was again recognised in 2007 for his service as the emergency action commander in a tactical assault group.

"Every loss in Afghanistan hurts us as a nation," said Gillard, adding that there would be some that "despair and wonder" why Australia remained in Afghanistan.

"I think the best thing I can say to people is to reiterate the words of Ben Roberts-Smith, our most recent VC (Victoria Cross) winner," she said.

"He said to me and he said to the nation, 'We are making a difference in Afghanistan'.

"And we are making a difference in Afghanistan. Progress is being made."

She added that the process for Australia's withdrawal of its 1,550 forces in the country remained unchanged.

"We will be there seeing the mission through," she said.

"Transition won't be a day, or a moment in time -- it will be a process as areas of Afghanistan are sufficiently stabilised and local security forces are trained to take over.

"There is no point pulling out only to go back in."

Specific details of Wood's death were not provided with operations ongoing, although the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force said on Monday a roadside bomb attack had killed four foreign soldiers in eastern Afghanistan.

A total of 188 international troops have died in the country so far this year, according to a tally kept by the independent website icasualties.org. That compares with 711 for last year.

Troop commanders have warned of another hard period ahead after the Taliban announced the start of their spring offensive at the end of last month.

There are around 130,000 international troops in Afghanistan, 90,000 of them from the United States.

Limited foreign troop withdrawals from a handful of safer areas of Afghanistan are due to start in July, allowing Afghan forces to take over control of security.

International combat troops are due to complete their pull out of Afghanistan in 2014 although Western officials stress their countries will have a long-term partnership with Afghanistan beyond that.

[To reiterate, Gillard represents NOTHING Australian; she is perhaps the most unpopular and uninspiring PM Oz has ever had, so do your damndest best, doodles!]
