The Great Divide: not an Oz geographic feature! - International Social/Political

The APEC summit was utilised by the authorities to introduce Australia to its future, a full-blown authoritarian police state, a model planned by conservative government’s world-wide! Unwarranted saturation policing in (once carefree) Sydney was carefully observed and evaluated by conservative forces, locally and abroad. They have been surprised at the ease with which a city of five million could be ‘locked-down’ and the ‘willingness’ of a population to tolerate oppressive policing – one serving police officer was overheard to say to another, “it was a walk in the park!” Woe, woe, woe to Sydney if it allows itself to be so easily subjugated, deceived and manipulated into submission. Adolf Hitler often compared manipulating the crowd to a sexual seduction, in Sydney’s case that would amount to a rape – and no backlash from any quarter!

[Why are Sydneysiders attending work this week, shouldn’t we be passively demonstrating our discontent and not attending work or consuming anything but bare survival essentials – yep, just staying home in droves is even easier than locking down a city? Or have the people become accustomed to their harnesses, bits, whips and convict shackles? And if you were wondering, I’m a dyed in the wool Aussie too, but obviously of another genus because I am fuckin’ fuming!] And so begins the great social divide of Australia, the Howard created cringing, cowering slaves and the Urban (Kelly) rangers – quite romantic isn’t it?

If you really wish to overcome you must OUTWIT your opponent, ‘water resists nothing and overcomes everything,’ to take a tip from my manual of social change and scintillating BEING, the Tao Te Ching. The thousands of police with their dogs, water cannon, pepper spray, batons etc, should have been left standing in empty streets – think of the photo opportunity that would have provided! Humiliating an already compromised (by the Chasers) bunch of security clowns in blue. It’s not too late however, but you lack the one essential ingredient, COURAGE!

But do not despair, today’s shackles are fractional fit! Sorry, but I must leave you to your fate, my budgie has just completed plans for a coup d' état on the Capital. He assures me it can be done with ease. That bird’s brain easily outwits an entire population.

Yes, Sydney, you have been well and truly f-u-c-k-e-d and it couldn’t have happened to a more self-centred population. Let’s run it past you again; a public that passively accepted police oppression, intimidation, draconian tactics, attack dogs, water cannon and extremely heavy-handed, intolerant, un-Australian responses in arrest situations.

It certainly appears as though the narcissistic ‘me’ generation and the hedonists that preceded them have earned their future – what a perfect disgrace today’s Australian society has become! Not a decade ago politicians would not have dared support the extreme policing experienced by the unfortunate people of Sydney. However, highly paid consultants and market researches have advised governments that the population of inward looking, self-centred, de-spirited, debt-crushed citizens is ready for the next stage of the plan – a plan that is no secret I would add.

[Where did you think it was going, PEOPLE?] There are no vacuums or empty social spaces in politics – give ‘ground’ and you lose it forever or at least until another generation of spirited Aussies decides they’ve had enough!

Postscript for protest organisers:
The police played you all like a violin, intimidation, courts and the rest; you failed to see you were locked into a BINARY REACTIVE situation.
