The Jackal

What stares you in the face is invisible! Who would suppose that Mr. “bouquet of flowers”, architect for the US world domination model, best friend of the Tel Aviv government, student of mass murderer Kissinger and neo-con extraordinaire, Paul Wolfowitz, would be allowed to run a drink stand [erratum] vie that is for presidency of the World Bank. – what next, a Kissinger nomination for the Nobel Peace Price?

I recall in early youth, young students of modern history questioning a teacher regarding the ‘obvious’ intentions of the Third Reich and how/why people/nations did not act to curtail that murderous regime before it was too late. The history teacher explained to his students how Hitler and his cohorts were able to momentarily stun the world and local population into in-action with political double-talk, promises of noble/peaceful intentions, appeals to patriotism, media manipulation and above all, exceedingly swift action in implementing their agenda! Can anyone draw a parallel today?

Nothing like the clear view that hindsight provides – but hindsight is a luxury of the past, today it is a far more critical situation, there may not be another opportunity to ‘learn’ from history. If Wolfowitz succeeds to the presidency of the World Bank – the (alarming) lack of dissent would suggest his successful appointment – then it’s all but over for the rest of us.

The World Bank primarily facilitates the exploitation of nations (by Transnational Corporations) by offering ‘assistance’ in the form of high interest loans and arranging ‘development projects’ which effectively enslaves poorer nations to a constant debt cycle from which they cannot escape. The vast percentage of the wealth obtained by these loans/projects is not returned to local populations, except for the relatively minimal amount given to puppet dictators/governments all is destined for the coffers of those interests that Wolfowitz represents. The World Bank targets economically undeveloped but resource rich nations and leaves poor nations with nothing to offer the voracious beast of Capitalism to starve. It is the charitable organisations funded by the public that assists those nations.

The recent refusal of foreign financial ‘aid’ by the emerging nations of India and Thailand in the wake of the tsunami disaster were prudent decisions by their respective governments. Experience has taught them that the hand that ‘gives’ also strangles. National pride was not the principal reason for the refusal, as many would suppose.

Wolfowitz is an open book, who and what he represents is abundantly clear, his nomination was immediately supported by that infamous lackey nation Australia; however, support from Germany surprised many, notwithstanding that support is considered unrepresentative. One can only speculate as to the ‘deals’ that were offered Schroeder – he above all should know that the promises of ultra-right-wing regimes are worthless.

The pursuit of world domination is pure insanity, though this reality seems lost on Wolfowitz, his cohorts and ‘others.’ Retaliation is inevitable, the scale of which may or may not be proportional to the degree of threat posed. The media induced hysteria and fear the US has generated regarding ‘bearded’ terrorists and the “axis of evil”, has also conveniently created the perfect scapegoat. This point is not lost on various intelligence agencies now opposed to the USA. An attacker could easily remain undetected, leaving others to bear the brunt of the mindless US war machine. This is just one of many destabilising scenarios offered by expert analysts – none of whom are American I might add.

US world domination is of singular purpose – there are no means other than opposition to deal with economic or military tyranny, this is obvious, but history will no doubt repeat itself – possibly for the last time.

The price of hesitancy, timidity, apathy and cowardice rises day by day, we may all deserve what we get.

I make no apologies for the apparent negative end to this article; analysis is not Hollywood scriptwriting. The consequences of allowing the present US administration to continue on its manic course are all negative, this is glaringly obvious – but to few it would seem.
