Oz police capture terrorist’s shadow

Acting on information received from British authorities, internationally renowned for pumping 7 bullets into the head of an innocent Brazilian worker, the local chapter of the keystone cops has swung into action and arrested, detained, abused, intimidated and otherwise harassed a number of dark skinned Asian gentlemen who have been competently serving the nation during its medical crisis – a crisis resulting from incompetent government I might add.

Harassing and victimising Asians and others of non-Anglo background is a popular pastime in racist Australia, as the world well knows. Are the latest arrests an exercise in lateral racism, only Edward de Doofus and John Howard would know? It is becoming increasingly apparent that the arrests relate more to a failed media hype strategy than actual criminal activity – yea, Mick, you should know better than to catch the ‘baby’ and play patsy for Johnny and his failing government!

The Australian arrests in the wake of dubious British attacks are beginning to reveal local inept and desperate grasps at the media hype exploited to full advantage by Gordon Brown, sorry Johnny, playing the incumbent saviour and protector just ain’t cuttin’ it! But ‘wog bashing’ is never a wasted exercise in racist Australia, is it Johnny?

Information received from UK authorities that two Indian doctors practicing in Oz are supposedly involved in the failed UK bombings seems to be thinner than strudel pastry. [This is an attempt by the author to hide her Asian background by utilising the European signifier of apple strudel – the reader could safely ascribe the exercise to semiotic warfare!]

The bereft and very desperate conservative ruling faction in Oz have only succeeded in creating legal challenges for abuse, harassment, wrongful arrest, discrimination, defamation and a host of other associated legal challenges. The Howard government has a track record of wrongful detention and arrest especially where skin colour or anatomical features are concerned! Millions in taxpayer funds has already been paid out in compensation for wrongful detention, locals can only wonder how much the latest foray into idiocy will cost taxpayers.

Sorry Johnny, Phil and Mick, it ain’t gonna cut it, I recommend preparing yourselves for massive litigation and compensation payouts; smart people would settle out of court and sign the parties to gag orders, but you clowns obviously aren't smart – see you at APEC, bozos!

Don't presume Haneef's guilt: Ruddock
by ninemsn via yarra - ninemsn.com.au Friday, Jul 6 2007, 12:49pm

People should not presume Indian-born doctor Mohammed Haneef, who is being held for questioning about the failed UK terror attacks, is guilty, federal Attorney-General Philip Ruddock says.

Dr Haneef has been detained in Queensland since Monday as authorities investigate whether he has any links to the failed car bombs in London and the attack on Glasgow airport, as well as to an underground network of radical Islamist doctors.

The latest court order allows Dr Haneef to be kept in custody until at least 11.30pm (AEST) on Monday for continued questioning by Australian and British investigators.

"The point is, when anybody is subject to questioning it might be because they are a potential witness," Mr Ruddock told Southern Cross Broadcasting.

"People are entitled to a presumption of innocence even when they have been charged ... isn't it even more so that you should assume that a person is innocent until proven guilty when you're just asking questions."

Mr Ruddock said a "very sensitive and complicated investigation" was continuing.

He also warned Australians not to be lulled into a false sense of security on terrorism.

Mr Ruddock said he regularly sought to correct a commonly held but erroneous view that the nation was in some way immune from a terrorist attack on Australian soil.

"I've spoken quite frequently at gatherings where I've had to remind people we ought not to allow ourselves to be lulled into a false sense of security," Mr Ruddock said.

"Since 2000, Australia has been targeted, usually abroad, but we have had people convicted of terrorism offences here in Australia ... and at the moment courts have committed for trial another 22 people on alleged terrorist offences.

"So the idea that we are in some way immune ... flies in the face of the evidence.

"The alert level in Australia is medium and that means a terrorist attack is feasible."

you shouldn't make light of serious issues like government incompetence, state sanctioned killing of innocent civilians, media hype and the manipulation of the masses, racism, wrongful arrest and thoroughly incompetent regulatory authorities.

O, and the pics are of Hindu holy men not Muslim bombers ... who suddenly seem to have forgotten the art of bomb making ...
