 NEO-CON IMPERIALISM OR APOCALYPSE NOW?

It appears that the greater majority of the American public have not kept pace with the rapidly developing neo-con “Bush Doctrine” of pre-emptive military strikes against sovereign states as laid out in last Septembers National Security Strategy. A strategy expressly forbidden and outlawed in the Geneva Convention and Nuremberg Treaty but long sought after by neo-cons seeking a global American empire predicated on military force. A doctrine that establishes the unquestioned sovereignty of the United States over any an all international laws while subjecting all other sovereign states to yield to the power of its military might. As James Kurth of Swarthmore College recently stated in an article in the National Interest, “Today there is only one empire, the global empire of the United States.” (story and 1 comment)

It is becoming more evident each day; the real target of new draconian laws and policies is not the (fabricated) terrorist ‘threat’, it is the domestic population – the enemy is you! The initial indicator (for this writer) was Section 543 of the Australian Defence Forces manual, which describes attack strategies against civilians and local populations – it should not be forgotten that Australia is a micro version and imitator of the USA and to a lesser extent the UK. Despite all the ominous warnings of wily terrorists and imminent attacks, there has been neither a successful strike nor a close call in the United States since 9/11. The reasonable -- but rarely heard -- explanation is that there are no terrorists within the United States, and few have the means or the inclination to strike from abroad.
John Mueller is Professor of Political Science at Ohio State University and the author of "The Remnants of War." He is currently writing a book about reactions to terrorism and other perceived international threats that will be published early next year.

This is a fascinating article about how the IDF is studying some revolutionary thinkers (Debord, Deleuze and Guattari) in order to help them work with urban space and decentralized warfare. It's interesting too if anyone has read Antonio Negri's Multitude since he spends some time talking about the State and Capital trying to adopt decentralized warfare. The Irish State has passed, since 2002 a raft of legislations that are anti-citizen and anti-community. This has resulted in community and ecological activists taking a frontline defence aginst the incursion of capitalism. The issue for us as a community now is protection and stewarding our environment or bowing to what has been exposed as a form of cultural debasement wherein the state and elitists have attempted to divorce community from their heritage that is rich with stories, ideas and poetry. The impatient Australian treasurer Peter (supercilious prick) Costello has finally done it; he has openly exposed the Australian Prime Minister as a bald-faced LIAR. Costello did however attempt to take the high moral ground by stating he would never have made certain comments if others hadn’t done so first, his comments were to set the “record straight”, he said. Costello confirmed that a deal existed to turn the Leadership/Prime Ministership over to him after Howard served one and one half terms in office. Costello’s statement bluntly contradicts the statement of the Prime Minister who is on record as stating that neither he nor the treasurer had entered into any deal regarding a hand over of power. The Korean so-called long range ICBM explodes on launch – good one, Kim! But notice how quick the coalition of willing criminals are to utilise anything to draw the public's attention away from the criminality of Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, Camp Bond Steel (occupation base in the Balkans which utilises the services of East European child sex slaves to service American troops). John Howard in Asia

John Howard was ‘surprised’ when he encountered the President of Indonesia, while taking his early morning walk in Jakarta, reported News Radio Australia. The report stated that Howard was “visibly shocked” by the unexpected encounter, which obviously was intended to deliver a clear message; the Indonesian President is not known for taking early morning walks, we can therefore conclude that his gesture was calculated.

The world’s most cowardly leader, John Howard, has surpassed even himself with his latest spineless effort of making a gift of the (once sovereign) Australian nation to the Yanks. The clearest indication of America’s newest colonial acquisition is the construction of permanent US military bases in the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Those who imagine that US bases are not an indication of US military or economic supremacy, think again. Locating all the US bases on the globe is a revealing exercise. The infamous Jemaah Islamiyah leader, Abu Bakar Bashir, is soon to be released after serving only twenty-six months of his thirty-month sentence for conspiracy in the Bali bombings, which killed over two hundred innocent civilians. The Australian Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, was quick to make a statement to the press lamenting Australia’s helplessness in the circumstances. Downer’s pathetic statement was designed to distract the world’s attention away from the steaming Indonesian Turd in John Howard’s face! We recall Howard ‘caving in’ over the West Papuan refugee issue and the insults levelled at him (from Indonesia) at that time.

The lack of skill and the madness of US Military personnel has once again made headlines. The latest exposed atrocity committed by US forces is the massacre of twenty-four innocent civilians (including women and children) in Haditha, Iraq. Little wonder that ineptitude and lack of expertise is displayed at the end of the chain of command when the top of the chain displays the greater degree of incompetence. But the most profound madness is exhibited as the inaction of the people of the USA. The madness of paralysis in the face of criminal government; the madness of inaction against the subversion of the Constitution of the United States; the madness of lost civil liberties without a struggle or insurrection. While the forces of the traditional ‘left’ argue and analyse themselves into irrelevance (out of existence) the expedient right rumbles forward like a juggernaut. The left has been overwhelmed by simple expediency, the ‘whatever it takes’ (just get the job done) mentality is winning the day. Political correctness has all but destroyed the left whereas the right streaks ahead unburdened by any ethical issues. Ideology has been completely abandoned in favour of strategy.
