Pauline Hanson recently announced on news radio that her political views have been “vindicated”; she cited the overt racist attitudes of John Howard and Peter Costello as proof of her claim. Who could deny it? Hanson’s imprisonment on trumped-up charges was an act of political assassination instigated by Howard but executed by his then errand boy, Tony Abbott. Hanson’s trial and subsequent imprisonment effectively eliminated her and her party from the Australian political landscape; mainstream racist ideology was re-established in its rightful home, the white Australian conservative ultra-right Liberal Party of Howard! The world watches Australia take a giant leap backwards as Howard continues to divide the nation. (story and 1 comment)

John Howard's recent appearance on the Australian media was noted by his transparent attempt to portray grief and 'genuine' concern. The Australian Prime Minister feigned choking-back tears as he pleaded with Australian youth not to contemplate smuggling drugs. Howard’s insincere performance was in response to (anticipated) judgements handed down to members of the ‘Bali nine’ in an Indonesian court. The events that led to Australian youths being fed to the barbaric determinations of a thoroughly corrupt and primitive legal system should not pass without scrutiny. The actions of the Australian Federal Police require an independent and thorough investigation. The lives of Australian citizens should never be surrendered to foreign powers when discretionary prerogatives lie directly with Australian authorities. (story and 4 comments and 2 images)

“Dead and wounded dissidents, if identifiable, must be removed immediately by the police ... When being reported, dissident and own casualties are categorised merely as dead or wounded. To inhibit propaganda exploitation by the dissidents the cause of the casualties (for example, ‘shot’) is not reported. A follow-up operation should be carried out to maintain the momentum of the dispersing crowd.”

Bush has declared that it’s acceptable to illegally bug US citizens for a ‘good cause’; Cheney opposed legislation banning the use of torture by US agencies! Rumsfeld denounces claims that Iraq invasion is related to Oil appropriation; US Congress attacks Bush or rather those responsible for the debacle that is the Bush Presidency. But the news of the week is the residents of Sydney contracting the disease that is John Winston Howard (cowardice).

Rumsfeld’s visit is timely, it coincides with nationwide dissent and protest against IR and draconian anti-terrorist laws recently implemented by leading US lackey and coward extraordinaire, John Howard.

If you think the Howard disease will endure and you’re safe, then think again. Howard’s survival depends on the degree to which the consciousness of the people has been permanently altered. What residual or lasting effects do you think Howard will leave on the consciousness of the people? Almost none, if history is consistent!

When forced to produce, what do we get? The same fanatic imbeciles that were paraded on the local media after the London bombings and some others armed with PVC pipe, ‘sticky-tape and chewing gum’! Compare these outcomes with real bombings in George St. Sydney, in the seventies. Most Australians are aware that, like all other nations, we have always had our share of extremist fanatics, they can be easily located in mosques, churches and synagogues around the nation. There is nothing new in this regard; the existence of social misfits does not warrant the implementation of draconian policies on a national level.

The Industrial Relations debate in Australia is noted by the lack of involvement of those most affected – the entire working population of the nation! We witness various politicians, churchmen, union officials arguing the issues but we do not witness a mobilisation of the workforce ending the argument one way or the other. It is the workforce that must determine its own course or be led by slimy politicians and corporate bosses.

John Howard, cringing colonial Prime Minister of Australia, infamous lackey, liar and inadequate personality has implemented draconian measures in order to ‘secure’ Australia against the terrorist bogeyman. It would be easy to believe that Howard fears a terrorist strike, but appearances deceive; his primary motivation is ideological. These 'new' measures are designed to erode democratic rights, inhibit free expression, eliminate voices of dissent and deflect the gaze of the population away from his criminal actions.

Philip Ruddock, Federal Attorney General to Australian, hopes to eclipse the neo-cons of the US in the race toward the fascist ideal of social uniformity and control (oppression). Ruddock has invoked his new 'anti-terrorist' laws – not to protect against ‘Islamic terrorists’ as claimed – but to silence voices of opposition, protest and dissent, as was the real intention. The charade was short lived; it was Ruddock’s inadequate and compensatory personality that 'blew it' for the entire conservative right.
