Gung-ho Politics
dingo, Thursday, Mar 8 2007, 9:40am
Are we able to remain in denial or is reality about to rub our noses in the horrid mess WE have created since allowing Bush, Blair and Howard to lie to the world and commit their respective populations to an illegal, pre-emptive war, or have we overlooked the real prize, the golden opportunity? The age of mass murder with impunity has dawned, what harm our minor exploits in comparison? The ‘new’ (neo) values of conservatism are undeniably the self-serving impulses of a violent pig at a trough. After centuries of social development and evolution the world stands witness to the re-introduction of barbarism. America and its coalition of willing criminals have returned the world to the ethics of a Swine – gung fuckin’ ho! Gimme, gimme, gimme, me, me, me and screw you – brother's keeper, you must be joking! (story and 1 comment and 2 images)

Timor-Leste: Bungle in the Jungle
barra, Sunday, Mar 4 2007, 9:22pm
Prior to the leadership of John Howard and his defence minister, Brendan (studs) Nelson, the Australian Defence Force always did Australia proud. The reputation of the ADF preceded them in any theatre of war. Aussie soldiers were once considered highly specialised and skilled fighters, so it is with a heavy heart and bitter disappointment that I report the raid on Alfredo Reinado’s hideout FAILED to accomplish its objective. The raid, however, resulted in the needless deaths of four Timorese and a ‘rebel leader’ who easily escaped to the mountains. No one is actually sure Reinado was even present at the time of the attack! Another (Fiji) miserable failure under the watch of Howard and 'studs' Nelson. [Cowards and compensatory personalities should only be permitted to lead girl guides on brownie day!] (story and 3 comments and 1 image)

Hicks, Howard and Rogue USA
nano, Friday, Mar 2 2007, 6:20am
Anyone familiar with the criminal tactics of thoroughly corrupt State Institutions would not be surprised to learn of the plea bargain offered Guantanamo Bay detainee, David Hicks. After five years of torture and various other forms of physical and psychological abuse, the U.S. has offered a deal that would see Hicks released from Guantanamo but not necessarily from continued incarceration. Desperation Politics
major mitchell, Saturday, Feb 24 2007, 10:43am
A picture is worth considerably more than a thousand words; the picture below depicts two very old and ossified conservatives unable to adequately deal with a rapidly changing New World. Antiquated and redundant divisionist ideologies have failed dramatically in today’s world – Iraq is the obvious example. (story and 2 comments and 2 images)

Preparing for Cheney
finch, Wednesday, Feb 21 2007, 9:05am
See how Australian conservatives run! “No Australian should be surprised. In fact I would like to think they would support it ... The people who murdered 100 Australians in Bali trained in this place with these people and that's why we're there." The statement by the Australian Defence Minister, Brendan Nelson, is the latest despicable attempt to garner support and justify increased Australian military involvement in Afghanistan – the truth is the Howard government is at the beck and call of the Americans, that is why ‘we’ are in Afghanistan, Mr. Nelson. The Defence Minister, in preparation for Dick Cheney’s arrival in Sydney tonight, has resorted to flagrant LIES and K-Mart political tactics to demonstrate to Cheney that Australian conservatives are able emulators of their master’s cheap tricks and lying political methods. Blair’s withdrawal ensures Iran Attack
nano, Tuesday, Feb 20 2007, 7:54am
Today’s sudden announcement of troop withdrawal by Bush’s poodle, Tony Blair, portends a grim future for Iran. Faced with ruination and possible war crimes trials, the tattered remnants of the coalition of willing criminals will no doubt resort to desperate acts in a futile attempt to fulfil their agenda and create further chaos. Instability and perpetual WAR is the ideology of neo-conservatives – have no doubt that America and/or its few remaining allies (Israel) will soon attack Iran. (story and 1 image)

A Disorderly Retreat: Australian Conservatives on the Back Foot
peptide, Monday, Feb 19 2007, 9:45pm
The Australian Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer tonight made his first ’07 appearance on the popular current affairs program, Lateline. Downer, known locally as a gutless, smug, toff, was clearly on the back foot when confronted with the two principal issues that are decimating the conservative government; participation in the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq and the abandonment of the Australian citizen, David Hicks.

Lost Directions
budgie, Thursday, Feb 15 2007, 10:00am
The USA is that way! The most servile government in Australian history achieved a new ‘personal best’ in bootlicking today. Yesterday's parliament question time witnessed the Minister of Defence, Brendan (studs) Nelson and the Foreign Minister, Alexander (cream puff) Downer bending over forwards in preparation for Cheney’s visit. Astounding as it may seem to most Australians these two lackeys were attempting to score political points by extolling the virtues of neo-colonial subservience to the United States! John Howard: Profile of a Coward
finch, Tuesday, Feb 13 2007, 11:52am
The Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, has managed to gain some international attention after his hysterical attack on U.S. presidential candidate, Barack Obama. The seasoned Australian politician knowingly stated that a victory for Obama OR the Democrats would be a victory for al-Qaeda, “I mean, if I we're running al-Qaeda in Iraq, I would put a circle around March 2008 and pray as many times as possible for a victory not only for Obama but also for the Democrats”. Australian PM criticises Barack Obama
nano, Saturday, Feb 10 2007, 10:14am
John Howard, known internationally as a Bush lackey, shameless coward, racist and abandoner of Australian citizens, today levelled a criticism at U.S. Presidential candidate, Barack Obama. The ‘aluminium tubing’ Prime Minister stated that Obama’s Iraq policy would “completely destabilise and destroy Iraq”. Howard seems ‘completely’ oblivious to the FACT that his participation in the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq has ALREADY COMPLETELY DESTABILISED AND DESTROYED Iraq! Chinese Smile vs American Gun
Kwang zi, Wednesday, Feb 7 2007, 8:25am
China's President Hu Jintao re-establishes trade links with Africa vowing not to interfere with the sovereign rights of African nations. The net result of this soft approach is African nations clamouring to the Chinese whose trade links with Africa extend thousands of years into the past. Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of large African port cities containing artefacts and trade material from China and Africa. Large amounts of ceramics, ivory, gems, precious metals and a wealth of other artefacts reveal a long history of lively and thriving two-way trade between the two continents. (story and 2 images)

Balibo Murderer Implicates Indonesian Government
dingo, Monday, Feb 5 2007, 1:40pm
Yunus Yosfiah, former Indonesian government minister and commander of Kopassus, the elite government sanctioned hit squad functioning as part of the Indonesian military, has been formally identified by an eyewitness as the person who initiated the cold-blooded murder of five Australian journalists in East Timor in 1975. Not mentioned in recent reports is the exact order Yosfiah issued to his troops. Indonesian troops were extremely reluctant to fire on five unarmed Australian non-combatants, who had openly surrendered. [Then] Captain Yunus Yosfiah, issued the murderous order, “don’t think, just shoot”, before he commenced firing on the unarmed Australian journalists! (story and 2 comments and 1 image)

Cheney’s Oz Visit
budgie, Thursday, Feb 1 2007, 12:50pm
Dick (dark side) Cheney is to visit Oz this month to thank Howard for his support, RUBBISH! Howard has recently returned from the U.S. where ample opportunity to “thank him”, presented itself. No, the world’s most hated man and notorious psychopath is visiting Oz to inspect and organise something tangible and corporeal. Why these neo-conservative clowns persist in treating the Australian people as servile morons is beyond me, or is it? Perhaps our fearful leader, John Howard, has given the ‘wrong’ impression to the world. Is it possible Howard the despicable coward does not reflect the true Australian character, are we really a bunch of colonialist slaves and lackeys? For now the shoe fits perfectly; the ‘boss man cometh’ to re-organise his slaves AND to set his property interests in order! (story and 3 comments and 2 images)

Reality knocks, nobody Home!
nano, Tuesday, Jan 30 2007, 8:33am
All demagogues and most politicians are familiar with the curious phenomenon of the diminished intelligence of a crowd relative to the mean intelligence quotient of all the individuals that comprise it! The level of intelligence of a crowd decreases as the size of the crowd increases. Less known, however, is the diminished ability of the crowd to act without the assistance of an orchestrater or conductor. In the face of the most heinous crimes, today’s populations are conspicuous by their complacency, silence and inability to act. The crowd waits patiently for an appropriate catalyst or activator to trigger an appropriate response. (story and 3 comments and 1 attached file)

Failed Logic and Rhetoric in the USA
barra, Sunday, Jan 28 2007, 10:10am
Hillary Clinton and the neo-cons have much in common, their policies in relation to a continued presence in Iraq (oil theft) are similar as are their inept, amateurish and transparent attempts at rhetoric. Hillary’s latest offering was a statement to the effect that the Bush regime has dug a “deep hole” in Iraq that would take some time for “us” to emerge from! Notice the tactic of blame laying [political capital] while at the same time ensuring continued presence in Iraq on the basis that “we” would be rectifying all of Bush’s mistakes – very good Hillary, continued neo-colonial occupation and oil appropriation has nothing to do with it! Are Americans so stupid that they no longer recognise horseshit when they see or smell it? (story and 1 image)

Australia Day: national Shame and Failure day
finch, Thursday, Jan 25 2007, 1:27pm
I had to laugh out loud this tragic ‘Australia’ Day; are we celebrating our total disregard for a national identity by allowing a foreign power to indefinitely torture an Australian citizen, David Hicks? Should we beam with pride at the ‘Australian’ flag, incorporating the pommy Union Jack? Or perhaps we should pay homage to the most cowardly, servile and traitorous Prime Minister in Australian history! Australia Day 2007 will long be remembered as national shame day. A nowhere people celebrating a nowhere nation with the appropriate ‘leader’ who leads his herd of cringing servile nobodies, nowhere! Today we all share in the most pathetic and tragic Australia Day in history, Oi, Oi, Oink!

Assault on Language precedes Assault on Liberties and Identity
peptide, Wednesday, Jan 24 2007, 12:46pm
Effective attacks on cultural consciousness necessarily include attacks on language. These assaults are both overt and covert. The absurd new stock exchange expression, “profit taking”, which displaced the accurate and sensible word, “selling”, was implemented to eliminate negative connotations associated with the word “selling” in a stock exchange context. However, the replacement term “profit taking” is intentionally deceptive as it is obvious that selling is not always associated with profit taking; many divestments incur huge losses. It is revealing that the appropriate regulatory authorities have not challenged the widespread use of the new misleading (replacement) expression. The covert introduction of the less volatile phrase in the world of stock market trading reflects the deceptive and secretive machinations and manipulations of international finance. Conservatism -- Predictable by Definition
budgie, Tuesday, Jan 23 2007, 9:51am
Bush’s State of the Union address was notable for its predicability, same old vacuous rhetoric; conservatives are nothing if not predictable. Bush essentially asked the American people to stick with him on his disastrous course. American expansionism must accelerate its push for Middle East domination and appropriation (theft) of Oil reserves as the puppet President loses tenure in two years. This push is very badly sold to the American people as the endless war on terror and the ‘democratisation’ (colonisation) of resource rich weaker nations. The over use of the words “win”, “success”, “victory”, is having the reverse effect, the population is beginning to display symptoms that are more common in aversion therapy clinics! It is quite astounding and revealing that Bush’s handlers are unable to offer real solutions; beating the same tin drum with a lead spoon would hardly attract support. (story and 2 images)

Perfect Contradiction and Double Standards
dingo, Friday, Jan 19 2007, 8:20am
The People's Republic of China has successfully destroyed one of its own satellites with a ground to space ballistic missile – the message was not lost on some superpowers! America has expressed outrage and has marshalled western nations to voice their condemnation and “demand” a full explanation from the Chinese Government. The new USA certainly is a huge departure from the old, it seems that creating a living hell in the Middle East with hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths to its credit is acceptable behaviour but China shooting down a piece of its own space junk is an offensive, outrageous act requiring a full explanation! Oz Minister’s Identity Crisis
finch, Wednesday, Jan 17 2007, 9:21am
The ‘Australian’ Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, familiar to the local population as an American apologist, stooge and lackey, appears to have lost every vestige of a national identity as he strained today to defend the illegal detention by the criminal Bush regime of the Australian citizen, David Hicks. Mr. Downer’s muddled and professionally unqualified statements regarding the mental health of David Hicks, after five years detention in Guantanamo Bay concentration camp, only serve to highlight his personal dereliction of duty and his traitorous attitude to a foreign power.
