U.S. Government Capitulates – I wonder why? image Embers of Empire: Blair in Oz colt, Sunday, Mar 26 2006, 2:58am
Blair’s speech in Oz parliament today (27 March) was notable for its familiarity – nothing new, same ol’ same ol’ shite. Wait! I think there was something that may have been a Freudian slip in reverse, Blair pleaded with a crumbling support base not to ostracise the yanks as they may “lift their drawbridge” (what a laugh). In order to survive, the voracious beast of Capitalism MUST feed off weaker nations, destroy the environment, wreak havoc and wage war to sustain its (military) economy. The world needs America like it needs a hole in the head; by all means Tony, let the yanks implode on themselves; allow the blood-sucking star-spangled-fangs to sink into its own neck; it would be a most entertaining spectacle. The digital revolution has created an imbalance in the supply of information, which has impacted heavily on minority ruling interests. Media moguls, minority interests and their puppet governments are lamenting the good ol’ days when the mass media supplied ‘disinfected’ information to a gullible population. Millions around the globe are now able to exchange information, become independent publishers and have a ‘voice’. It is not surprising that information from sources at an ‘event’ often contradicts popular reporting and tailored versions disseminated by the mass media and centralist governments. text Tail Pursuits: The meandering of men ninn, Thursday, Mar 2 2006, 1:42am
We laugh when we see a dog chase its tail, yet are we so superior? Do we not seek what we already possess? The dog’s tail is not elsewhere or ‘external’, the dog thinks/believes its tail must be captured though it was never lost or disconnected. When people chase externals, Gods, religions, ideologies they seek that which they already possess (solace/identity/security/redemption/joy/harmony) yet it is the same canine ignorance that deludes people as deludes the poor dumb beast. To seek what one possesses is to lose it through the process of seeking – seeking is not possessing!

India prepares for Bush image Bush Go Home Arundhati Roy, Tuesday, Feb 28 2006, 12:05pm
On his triumphalist tour of this part of the world, where he hopes to wave imperiously at people he considers potential subjects, President Bush's itinerary is getting curiouser and curiouser. For his March 2 pit stop in New Delhi, the Indian government tried very hard to have him address our Parliament. A not inconsequential number of MPs threatened to heckle him, so Plan One was hastily shelved. Plan Two was that he address the masses from the ramparts of the magnificent Red Fort where the Indian prime minister traditionally delivers his Independence Day address. But the Red Fort, surrounded as it is by the predominantly Muslim population of Old Delhi, was considered a security nightmare. So now we're into Plan Three: President George Bush speaks from Purana Qila, the Old Fort. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

bombed shrine image Holy and Sacred: Turd or Temple cleaves, Friday, Feb 24 2006, 1:55am
The famous Shiite Askariyah shrine (Golden Mosque) in Iraq has been targeted and destroyed but by whom remains unclear at this stage. Regardless of the intentions of those responsible, one dramatic (and historically consistent) point cuts through the hysteria and mayhem. That of the importance (or otherwise) of sites that are deemed sacred or holy and the 'location' of this attribution in human consciousness and/or human societies/groups. Social history records naturally occurring phenomena, rocks, rivers etc; structures built by men, temples, obelisks etc; cyclic astronomical phenomena, eclipses, comets etc, all of which have been attributed by humans with special significance at one time or another, whereas none of these produced or naturally occurring phenomenon are ‘holy’ or ‘sacred’. Bali 9 image In Good Faith Kingfisher, Tuesday, Feb 14 2006, 2:23am
John Howard's recent appearance on the Australian media was noted by his transparent attempt to portray grief and 'genuine' concern. The Australian Prime Minister feigned choking-back tears as he pleaded with Australian youth not to contemplate smuggling drugs. Howard’s insincere performance was in response to (anticipated) judgements handed down to members of the ‘Bali nine’ in an Indonesian court. The events that led to Australian youths being fed to the barbaric determinations of a thoroughly corrupt and primitive legal system should not pass without scrutiny. The actions of the Australian Federal Police require an independent and thorough investigation. The lives of Australian citizens should never be surrendered to foreign powers when discretionary prerogatives lie directly with Australian authorities. (story and 4 comments and 2 images)

text Permanent War nano, Monday, Feb 6 2006, 4:39am
US Secretary of Defence, Donald Rumsfeld, recently announced the ‘war on terror’ would be re-named “the long war”; this announcement has not surprised analysts who are aware that neo-con ideologues and strategists follow the Straussian (and perverted Trotskyist) doctrine of permanent war. Some interpret this as nostalgia for the ‘good old days’ of the Cold War in which a clearly defined enemy (communist bogeymen) kept the nation on permanent alert and amenable to the powers of the time. text Grandiose Visions – Nightmare Realities Kingfisher, Monday, Jan 9 2006, 5:08am
The “New American Century” (PNAC) and the “Thousand Year Reich”, shared a similar preposterous vision; a crude blend of wishful thinking, fantasy and religiosity. However, the chronologically modest American ‘vision’ is no less dangerous and destructive a model; in fact, the potential for destruction on a scale never before seen is inherent in the ‘New American (graveyard) Century’.

text Obvious Options dingo, Monday, Jan 2 2006, 11:43am
The forces that divide humanity issue from religion, tribalism, racism and self-interest. The fact that right wing groups emphasise the ‘virtues’ of these principles clearly identifies their support base and driving principles. It would seem obvious that an assault on the principles that create undesirable circumstances is preferable to dealing with the (disastrous) consequences after the event.

text Converge on the Capital cleaves, Wednesday, Dec 28 2005, 3:46am
In the recent past an American grandmother demonstrating against the tyrant Bush, held a placard as she marched on the Capital, it read, “The Road to Hell is lined with Bushes”. It is now evident that this grandmother (who puts younger Americans to shame) was exhibiting prophetic or intuitive insight. In that period Bush was relatively tame. This American woman and true patriot is an inspiration to us all.

text Bush’s Xmas Tantrum cleaves, Saturday, Dec 24 2005, 4:11am
Bush is furious that patriots, who continue to hold the values and laws of the USA inviolate, leaked the story of illegal bugging and surveillance to the media. The American Fuhrer’s indignation equals that of his historical Nazi counterpart. How dare someone expose the ‘commander in chief’ for the criminal that he really is!

text Complicity finch, Tuesday, Dec 20 2005, 2:11am
Bush confesses his criminality and hopes that his ‘act’ of contrition will save him from the dock. He has finally acknowledged that the invasion (and occupation) of Iraq was/is based on incorrect information (lies). Supporters and citizens who desperately hope that Bush’s admission demonstrates his contrition had their hopes dashed against the hard reality of further sordid deeds – the illegal 'bugging' and monitoring of US citizen’s private communications by the NSA. [Would anyone seriously expect this criminal administration to change character?] Bush’s admission is a political gesture, a strategic manoeuvre in response to increasing international disapproval of the dishonesty of his regime.

text It’s Good News Week cleaves, Saturday, Dec 17 2005, 4:33pm
Bush has declared that it’s acceptable to illegally bug US citizens for a ‘good cause’; Cheney opposed legislation banning the use of torture by US agencies! Rumsfeld denounces claims that Iraq invasion is related to Oil appropriation; US Congress attacks Bush or rather those responsible for the debacle that is the Bush Presidency. But the news of the week is the residents of Sydney contracting the disease that is John Winston Howard (cowardice).

text Portend: Civil Unrest peptide, Tuesday, Dec 13 2005, 2:29pm
Right wing conservative ideology is founded on elitism and divisionism. Is there any doubt that John Howard’s racist immigration and refugee policies are now manifesting themselves in the Australian community as race-based divisionism and conflict?

text Annapolis in Wonderland furlong, Monday, Dec 5 2005, 5:21am
The present international instability could result in one or numerous other horrendous scenarios. However, the one glaring consistency or constant in today’s international political arena is the hatred that America has attracted from the rest of the world. Regardless of any other consideration, a nation despised by all is doomed. The USA has earned its reward by its blatant double standards, hypocrisy and the serial exploitation of weaker nations. These are the direct causes of the retaliatory response on American interests worldwide. The so-called “terrorists” are only a minor distraction while the real war unfolds.

text Rumsfeld: Adelaide (Update) cleaves, Friday, Nov 18 2005, 1:22am
Activists asserted their democratic right to protest Rumsfeld’s visit outside the heavily guarded Adelaide Town Hall regardless of Dr. Bob Such granting ‘permission’ to protest outside South Australia’s Parliament House. Let’s not miss a ‘subtle’ point; the right to protest is fundamental to a democratic society, let that right act as a barometer in any society that purports to uphold democratic values.

text Rumsfeld in Adelaide cleaves, Wednesday, Nov 16 2005, 1:28am
US Secretary of Defence, Zionist and neo-con extraordinaire, Donald Rumsfeld, will visit Adelaide (of all places) to hold discussions with servile Australian politicians regarding Australia’s continuing involvement with the pariah nation of the world, the USA. Rumsfeld’s visit is timely, it coincides with nationwide dissent and protest against IR and draconian anti-terrorist laws recently implemented by leading US lackey and coward extraordinaire, John Howard.

text Aberration finch, Monday, Nov 14 2005, 2:58am
There are two types of Australian today, the pre-Howard traditional Aussie and the Howard infected diseased group of cringing cowards. Take note you gutless wonders. If you think the Howard disease will endure and you’re safe, then think again. Howard’s survival depends on the degree to which the consciousness of the people has been permanently altered. What residual or lasting effects do you think Howard will leave on the consciousness of the people? Almost none, if history is consistent!

text Howard’s Terrorists peptide, Friday, Nov 11 2005, 2:18am
When forced to produce, what do we get? The same fanatic imbeciles that were paraded on the local media after the London bombings and some others armed with PVC pipe, ‘sticky-tape and chewing gum’! Compare these outcomes with real bombings in George St. Sydney, in the seventies. Most Australians are aware that, like all other nations, we have always had our share of extremist fanatics, they can be easily located in mosques, churches and synagogues around the nation. There is nothing new in this regard; the existence of social misfits does not warrant the implementation of draconian policies on a national level.

text Snow Job: ‘Whip it good’, whip it to death! nano, Tuesday, Nov 1 2005, 12:26pm
John Howard has raised the ‘spectre’ of a 'possible' terrorist strike (?) in order to implement, without proper parliamentary debate, a new law (or semantic alteration) designed to save us all! A ‘raw prawn’ strategy if ever there was one.
