NSW elections -- Kiss the Yank GOODBYE!
by nann Friday, Mar 25 2011, 11:00pm
national / social/political / commentary

What a thorough travesty it was enduring a NSW leader with a stinking American accent -- for pete's sake! What were Labor morons that placed that fellatrice in power thinking? No doubt exposed CIA lackey, Mark Arbib, played his part in creating one of the most devastating Labor defeats in the history of NSW politics -- good riddance to American rubbish and the thoroughly CORRUPT NSW (Labor) right.

Bye bye, Kristina
Bye bye, Kristina

The travesty of a yank in any political office in Oz borders on treason. But we can safely assume prior to the close of polls today that the good people of NSW will be spared the disgusting twang of the American accent in future!

We also take this opportunity to draw attention to the pending annihilation of Julia 'carbon tax' Gillard after her despicable, spineless, unabashed, GUSHING display of METAPHORICAL FELLATIO in Washington recently -- Gillard's gut-churning speech to Congress will no doubt go down in history as the world's greatest suck!

However, the mistake made by the people of NSW today was electing the 'other' Major Party to office -- 'things must change in order to remain the same!'

Wake up Australia! It's TIME to reclaim OUR nation and deliver it from the hands of American colonialists such as Gillard, Rudd, Howard, Keating and their ilk. RESTORE Oz REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY with REAL Aussie leaders, not the American CORPORATIST 'cocksuckers' [FACT] we've been forced to endure lately.

Vote for REAL Aussie Independent LEADERSHIP in future -- it's NO LONGER a two-horse, one-stable race, you dumb, duped fucks. THINK before you VOTE!

Barry O'Farrell Smashes Labor in NSW election
by Barclay Crawford via rupert - News Corp Saturday, Mar 26 2011, 7:41am

BARRY O'Farrell vowed to make "NSW number one again" after securing a thumping election victory last night.

With voters delivering a brutal verdict on 16 years of tumultuous ALP rule in NSW, a measured Mr O'Farrell reached out to many Labor supporters who abandoned their party in spectacular fashion.

The incoming premier vowed to govern for everyone in the state.

"There are many people who voted ... who have never done anything except vote Labor," he said. "We will deliver."

The scandal-plagued Labor Government suffered a devastating record-breaking loss, described by the party's campaign boss Luke Foley as "cataclysmic - I mean it's a bloodbath".

Premier Kristina Keneally conceded defeat at 9pm, and immediately stood down as leader, after presiding over the shocking defeat.

"The truth is the people of NSW, who entrusted us with government for 16 years, did not leave us, we left them," Ms Keneally said.

After a whopping 17 per cent swing against it, Labor could be left with just 17 MPs in the 93 seat parliament as the Coalition swept through previously safe ALP areas in Sydney's western suburbs, and in the Illawarra and the Hunter regions.

On a two-party preferred basis, the Coalition - won 63.9 per cent of the vote, compared to Labor's 36.1 per cent.

An hour after Ms Keneally conceded, Mr O'Farrell emerged to claim victory before a rapturous crowd of supporters at the Parramatta Leagues Club. "This is the victory for everyone who wanted to make NSW number one again," the incoming premier declared in a low-key speech, flanked by his wife and two children.

"I want to thank all the people of the state for putting their trust in the NSW Liberals and Nationals," Mr O'Farrell said. "And I promise we won't let you down."

So resounding was the victory - picking up at least 29 seats - Mr O'Farrell, the 52-year-old former political staffer who has spent the past 15 years in parliament in opposition. said the Coalition "won seats we never dreamed of ever winning". He said he would implement the "more than 100 policies" promised during the election, and "deliver real change to improve lives". Mr O'Farrell also vowed to take the fight to federal Labor in Canberra over the carbon tax, which the Liberals claimed was a key flashpoint in many Labor electorates.

Frontbencher Gladys Berejiklian said the parliamentary team behind Mr O'Farrell would have no hesitation in getting on with the job of government.

"We're going to hit the ground running and really applying ourselves to those commitments we made in the course of the election campaign but way beyond that course as well," she said. "We're going to keep focused on turning NSW around, NSW used to be the best state."

As counting continued across the state last night, the swing against Labor was tracking at 17 per cent -- the biggest thrashing of a sitting government in Australian political history. Liberal Party figure Grahame Morris last night said the result showed "this was the worst government this country has seen".

Influential Labor party elder Graham Richardson earlier in the night said: "These figures are much worse than I expected - and I expected a disaster."

Mr O'Farrell promised not to disappoint traditional Labor supporters, vowing to govern for all in NSW to rebuild the state.

With some of the biggest swings against the government coming in ALP strongholds, Mr O'Farrell made a plea to Labor voters who had never voted for the NSW Coalition, promising not to let them down in government. "Whether they are a tradie in Sydney's west, whether they're a farmer in Tamworth, or whether they are a small business operator in the Shire, we will show them we can govern."

pure and simple
by maggie Saturday, Mar 26 2011, 7:55am

the loud and clear message is that Australian politicians across the board have lost touch with the people ... too many years pandering to Big Business carries a huge price tag these days.

If Julia Gillard doesn't learn from the NSW experience then she too will share Keneally's fate, or worse ... these days the electorate seems to enjoy dumping previous Federal leaders right out of their seats.
