The longsuffering people of Timor-Leste received no apology today after an inquiry revealed that the Indonesian military and Indonesian security forces were responsible for committing and inciting murder, rape and torture in Timor-Leste in 1999. Approximately fifteen hundred Timorese were murdered by militias and an indeterminate number were raped and tortured after militias went on a rampage killing and destroying crucial infrastructure in East Timor! The Russian circus bear growls but fails to act on its promise to Serbia to ensure territorial integrity regarding Kosovo. If Russia fails to act the cost of losing Kosovo may be greater for Russia than for Serbia. Kosovo remains legally Serbian and at Serbia’s request a joint military base project, involving Russia, China and Serbia could begin immediately. The base would ensure stability in the region, which has been under the illegitimate rule of Albanian organised crime figures and separatists since the NATO bombing.
