text Sydney’s ‘thought crime’ raids yarra, Friday, May 16 2008, 12:39pm
Remember the ‘new sweeping terrorist laws’ the previous conservative Howard government instituted? New draconian laws the current (useless) Rudd government is happy to leave in place. The conservatives felt obliged to emulate America and introduce police state laws though the nation had not suffered any direct terrorist attacks. Civil liberties groups and other concerned citizens protested vehemently regarding intrusions on personal liberties, privacy, and the new draconian/intrusive powers accorded law enforcement agencies, which could easily be abused!

text The Tortured Law on Torture Robert Scheer via reed, Wednesday, May 14 2008, 7:19am
Ah yes, those torture confessions have proved so useful. That, at least, was the claim of our president in justifying one of the most egregious assaults ever on this nation’s commitment to the rule of law. But now comes news that charges have been dropped against the so-called Sept. 11 attacks’ 20th hijacker, one of dozens so identified, because the “evidence” he supplied under torture and later recanted is not credible enough to go to trial.

Bush For Murder is available May 27.

text Haneef Inquiry: a toothless tiger yarra, Wednesday, Apr 30 2008, 12:44am
The Haneef inquiry has adopted the political strategy of the current Oz PM, Kevin ‘poseur’ Rudd. Ring those ‘bells,’ blow those ‘whistles’ but for God’s sake don’t actually DO ANYTHING to threaten the status quo! After months of inaction on the important issues it may prove revealing to contrast the style of the previous (despicable) Howard government with Rudd and his mob of no-hopers!

text Torture: Beyond The Pale SPI Editorial via reed, Monday, Apr 14 2008, 8:02pm
The image of CIA officers demonstrating and detailing torture techniques considered for use during detainee interrogations in the White House is one most Americans could probably never conceive. And yet, ABC News reported last week that senior Bush administration officials were privy to such presentations in the Situation Room as they discussed and approved the brutal treatment (such as waterboarding) of terror suspects. They also approved combining various techniques to be used on a suspect.

circus_bear.jpg image Russia: international laughing stock finch, Monday, Mar 24 2008, 8:30pm
There has been a lot of laughter at Russia’s expense in the offices of State in many Western nations lately, but particularly in the USA. Where is Russia, what of all the threats in support of its traditional ally Serbia, over the Kosovo secession? The Russian bear proved to be toothless and clawless; Russia's failure to back its talk with actions has earned it ridicule from the entire international community; the laughter from the West can be heard all the way to the Kremlin – Russia’s credibility is less than zero at the moment. No powerful nation can afford such a huge loss of face and hope to survive in the future. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

Ustashe fascist, Gen. Ante Gotovina image War Crimes Trial Begins for Croatian General Who Worked With Americans Marlise Simons via rialator, Tuesday, Mar 11 2008, 7:27pm
PARIS — A popular Croatian general who led a brutal operation that drove the Serbs out of Eastern Croatia near the end of the Balkans war went on trial in The Hague on Tuesday for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Gen. Ante Gotovina, working closely with American advisers, was the commander of a military campaign in the summer of 1995 that put an end to the Serbian occupation of Eastern Croatia and forced more than 150,000 Serbs to flee towns and villages where they had lived for generations. text NATO/EU hypocrisy and the demonisation of Serbs Ljiljana Smajlovic via rialator, Wednesday, Mar 5 2008, 7:30am
BELGRADE, Serbia -- As editor-in-chief of Serbia's oldest and most prestigious daily newspaper, Politika, I am at a loss to explain the West's stubborn support for Kosovo independence to my readers. Only nine years ago, my country was bombed for 78 days by the most powerful military alliance the world has ever seen, and the last thing I want is to pour oil over the fire of anti-Western sentiment. But the truth is, I find myself grappling with the same bitterness and resentment as most of my countrymen. (story and 2 comments)

text Independent Kosovo: a ‘unique’ impossibility peptide, Monday, Mar 3 2008, 8:14am
Destabilising the Balkans will prove to be the undoing of the EU and US. The major factors contributing to destabilisation are the intolerable violation of international law and convention; the illegal dismemberment of a sovereign state and the installation of a known murderer, drug and arms dealer, Hashim Thaci, as puppet leader of a pretend ‘nation!’

text Thaci: muslim terrorist becomes delusional dusan, Tuesday, Feb 26 2008, 12:23pm
Muslim terrorist and crime boss, Hashim Thaci, has become delusional; he imagines that he leads a nation when in fact he remains a criminal who leads only an Albanian criminal syndicate. Thaci stated he is prepared “to defend every inch of his territory (Kosovo)” -- spoken like a true mafia crime boss; old habits die hard don’t they, Hashim? Reality, however, dictates that Kosovo remains legally, historically, culturally and territorially Serbian, and that is that! So exactly what is it you are actually defending, Hashim, the spoils of crime; we would all like to know? (story and 1 comment)

text Torture ‘logic’ USA gan, Wednesday, Feb 6 2008, 8:05am
This short piece is principally directed at Americans, as most people of the free world – approx. 99.99% of the planet’s population, understand torture as TORTURE! Torture remains illegal under international law but America has flouted international law and convention on so many occasions it is no surprise it attempts to justify the use of TORTURE today. Formerly listed as the most corrupt nation in the world, Indonesia is now demonstrating to a thoroughly corrupt American judiciary and administration that the LAW must be observed and allowed to function without interference from the State; the world’s most corrupt nations now seem to emanate from the West! We refer to the flagrant flouting of international law and convention in relation to illegal detention, pre-emptive warfare, torture, and disregard of the territorial integrity of sovereign nations. YES, with over one million civilian deaths to its ‘credit’ America is beyond dispute as the world’s leading terrorist and criminal State followed closely by the dominant nations of NATO! target2.gif image Confirmed: Kosovo secession designed to destabilise Russia dragan, Thursday, Jan 24 2008, 11:14am
The western backed illegal Kosovo ‘government’ of Muslim KLA terrorist, Hashim Thaci, is set to secede from Serbia in days according to latest reports. NATO and western forces are pouring troops and support personnel into the breakaway province as I write. However, it has now become exceedingly clear the tiny province does not warrant all this fuss and risk. It has become clear that western backed secessionist moves in Kosovo have been designed to create/trigger turmoil in other ethnically disproportionate regions, particularly in Russia. The South Australian Premier, Mike Rann, is best known for his corrupt complicity in allowing BHP Billiton to extract -- FREE OF CHARGE -- millions of litres (per day) of precious drinking water from OUR artesian basin. 'Balibo five' imageattachment NSW Coroner: Balibo five murdered in cold blood nano, Thursday, Nov 15 2007, 2:18pm
The NSW Coroner has found, in relation to the Balibo five, as follows:

FINDING – SECTION 22(1) CORONERS ACT 1980.

“Brian Raymond Peters, in the company of fellow journalists Gary James Cunningham, Malcolm Harvie Rennie, Gregory John Shackleton and Anthony John Stewart, collectively known as “the Balibo Five”, died at Balibo in Timor- Leste on 16 October 1975 from wounds sustained when he was shot and/or stabbed deliberately, and not in the heat of battle, by members of the Indonesian Special Forces, including Christoforus da Silva and Captain Yunus Yosfiah on the orders of Captain Yosfiah, to prevent him from revealing that Indonesian Special Forces had participated in the attack on Balibo. There is strong circumstantial evidence that those orders emanated from the Head of the Indonesian Special Forces, Major-General Benny Murdani to Colonel Dading Kalbuadi, Special Forces Group Commander in Timor, and then to Captain Yosfiah.” (story and 1 image and 1 attached file)
