Police outnumber protesters image Preparing for Cheney finch, Wednesday, Feb 21 2007, 9:05am
See how Australian conservatives run! “No Australian should be surprised. In fact I would like to think they would support it ... The people who murdered 100 Australians in Bali trained in this place with these people and that's why we're there." The statement by the Australian Defence Minister, Brendan Nelson, is the latest despicable attempt to garner support and justify increased Australian military involvement in Afghanistan – the truth is the Howard government is at the beck and call of the Americans, that is why ‘we’ are in Afghanistan, Mr. Nelson. The Defence Minister, in preparation for Dick Cheney’s arrival in Sydney tonight, has resorted to flagrant LIES and K-Mart political tactics to demonstrate to Cheney that Australian conservatives are able emulators of their master’s cheap tricks and lying political methods. text Former Guantanamo chaplain wants U.S. Army apology Bernd Debusmann via rialator, Tuesday, Feb 6 2007, 8:12pm
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Capt. James Yee spent 76 days in solitary confinement, much of the time shackled and in leg irons, after accusations of sedition, espionage and aiding the enemy while serving as a Muslim chaplain at Guantanamo Bay.

The Army's case against him collapsed at trial, and it eventually wiped his record clean and gave the West Point graduate an honorable discharge. (story and 1 comment)

Yunus Yosfiah -- Murderer of unarmed Oz civilians! image Balibo Murderer Implicates Indonesian Government dingo, Monday, Feb 5 2007, 1:40pm
Yunus Yosfiah, former Indonesian government minister and commander of Kopassus, the elite government sanctioned hit squad functioning as part of the Indonesian military, has been formally identified by an eyewitness as the person who initiated the cold-blooded murder of five Australian journalists in East Timor in 1975. Not mentioned in recent reports is the exact order Yosfiah issued to his troops. Indonesian troops were extremely reluctant to fire on five unarmed Australian non-combatants, who had openly surrendered. [Then] Captain Yunus Yosfiah, issued the murderous order, “don’t think, just shoot”, before he commenced firing on the unarmed Australian journalists! (story and 2 comments and 1 image)

text Bungles, Ghosts and Damage Control jack rider, Wednesday, Jan 3 2007, 9:55pm
The Whitehouse is in damage control over the bungled execution of Saddam Hussein. The hurried execution backfired in the worst possible way; a vanquished leader should never be allowed to continue his work from the ‘grave’. Anthropologists are familiar with appeasement rituals and ceremonies for the dead, which are common to numerous cultures. In the wake of Saddam’s bungled execution these curious rituals begin to make sense.

troops.jpg image Lies have Consequences Ray McGovern and W. Patrick Lang via rialator, Wednesday, Jan 3 2007, 8:50am
"This war was launched without an immediate threat to our families... Radical "know-it-all" ideologues here in Washington bent facts, distorted intelligence and perpetrated lies designed to mislead the American people into believing a third-rate thug had a hand in the 9/11 tragedy and was soon to unleash a mushroom cloud."

All those who helped President George W. Bush launch a war of aggression—termed by Nuremberg “the supreme international crime”—have blood on their hands and must be held accountable. This includes corrupt intelligence officials. Otherwise, look for them to perform the same service in facilitating war on Iran. (story and 1 image)

Rummy and Saddam, 1983, seal acquisition of chemical WMD -- used later against Iran and Kurds image Hang Him, hang Him Quick! budgie, Tuesday, Dec 26 2006, 6:57am
The puppet judiciary of occupied Iraq today announced that Saddam Hussein would be hanged within 30 days. Saddam is presently being tried for the mass murder of Kurdish villagers but the judiciary insisted that he MUST be executed regardless of any other proceedings. This decision is a ‘just in time’ corporate-style decision – just in time for what the uninformed reader would ask? Just in time to save America from incrimination for supplying the chemical weapons and expertise required to kill the innocent Kurdish villagers – that is the REAL NEWS of the day! jan11_logo_220.jpg image Close Torture Bay Cleaves Editorial Team, Tuesday, Dec 19 2006, 9:04am
The world today is in no doubt as to the criminal status of the illegal detention centre of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The past three years have not only witnessed unprecedented assaults on the founding principles of the USA by the Bush regime, but also on international law and convention. The government of the USA is clearly rogue, a fact in which its officials delight. The contempt the neo-cons display for their own citizens is only exceeded by the extreme disdain they exhibit toward the international community. Each day that Guantanamo Bay remains operational is a day of unspeakable psychological horror, torture and injustice. (story and 1 image)

Richard Perle -- American sociopath image Neo-Cons in Disarray finch, Friday, Dec 8 2006, 9:43pm
Washington today is characterised by neo-cons running for cover as reality presses in on their delusional world. It’s every psychopath and criminal for him/herself as uncertainty grips the culpable. Neo-cons and their support networks are abandoning the new American century (delusion) for the hard reality of rapid American decline and the very real prospect of facing war crimes tribunals. The recent utterings of arch-neocon, Richard Perle, attempting to lay blame on the imbecile, Bush, reveals panic at the highest levels; but it’s far too late to evade responsibility, the world is very familiar with the criminal perpetrators of the whole neo-con fiasco. Wyatt Earp -- American rustic image Confirmed: ‘Wyatt Earp’ losing War in Iraq peptide, Wednesday, Dec 6 2006, 7:06pm
Is anyone surprised? When first we heard the simplistic binary logic of “wanted dead or alive” or “you're either with us or with the terrorists” and “mission accomplished” (no connection to the real world whatsoever); WE KNEW IT WOULD BE A DISASTER. Many intelligent articles were written at that time sounding a warning, testifying to the fact – peruse this site and read for yourselves.

But let’s not stop with the above lest it HAPPEN AGAIN! The comment from Paul Wolfowitz that Iraqi people would welcome invaders with “bouquets of flowers” is stratospheric in its dissociation; his comment indicates lunacy in its pure form or criminal contempt in its worst form. Not to be outdone by Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld offers his ‘poetry of insanity’ for idiots and Americans, quatrains of pathology expressed in the ‘known-unknown-knowns’ of criminal deception. And not to be excluded from the unadulterated INSANITY and INCOMPETENCE is the war-whore herself, Condoleezza (status quo) Rice, of Lebanon infamy who believes that peace equates with war! text The War Crimes Case Against Donald Rumsfeld Marjorie Cohn via rialator, Sunday, Nov 12 2006, 10:31pm
As the Democrats took control of the House of Representatives and were on the verge of taking over the Senate, George W. Bush announced that Donald Rumsfeld was out and Robert Gates was in as Secretary of Defense. When Bush is being run out of town, he knows how to get out in the front of the crowd and make it look like he's leading the parade. The Rumsfeld-Gates swap is a classic example.

Sphincter in agony -- Ruddock smiling image Over-regulated Personality Types barra, Monday, Oct 2 2006, 6:58am
The Australian Attorney General, Philip Ruddock, once again demonstrates who and what he is; not content with making a thorough ass of himself in the recent past [link below] Ruddock now attempts to redeem himself by making a grab for the title of totalitarian buffoon of the new century. Australia now holds the dubious distinction of being the first developed (first world) ‘democratic’ nation in the new century to ban books! These blatant totalitarian tactics place Ruddock in interesting company; Chinese Cultural Revolution, Pol Pot year zero, Nazi book burnings, etc; Hello, Mr. Orwell! (story and 2 images)

Paul Wolfowitz: pupil of Leo Strauss image The Law is an Ass, by Philip Ruddock budgie, Friday, Sep 8 2006, 11:42am
The Attorney General of Australia, Philip Ruddock, announced today that broader ranges of people in the community (including non-Muslims) are to be targeted as “terrorists!” Ruddock also stated that persons who are not ‘terrorists’ need not be alarmed as his new wider classification should not concern ‘them’(?)

In view of today's announcement, Ruddock is now obliged by Law to define what he imagines constitutes a (non-Muslim) "terrorist". It is well known by legal advocates around the globe that a clear and comprehensive definition of "terrorism" would label the Bush, Blair, Olmert and Howard regimes as terrorist! The onus is now on that Nazi buffoon Ruddock, to account for the vagaries in his 'determinations'. The Attorney General risks being branded a paranoid and delusory idiot if he fails to clarify his previous statements. At present he remains the focus of scorn, ridicule and a source of public entertainment. Do your best Mr. Attorney (imbecile) General! (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

Carla Del Ponte image Tea Party at the Hague budgie, Monday, Aug 21 2006, 4:22am
Is the Hague court a joke or have we just lost our sense of perspective? The latest indiscriminate slaughter of children and innocent civilians in Lebanon by ‘God’s chosen’ seems not to warrant the attention of the Hague court. Carla Del Ponte’s latest remonstration against the Serbian leadership for not delivering war criminals to her court seems ‘slightly’ dissociative in view of recent events. Her obsession with Serbs now borders on the pathological. Would the civilian death toll in Iraq warrant her attention? Iraq now approaches one hundred thousand innocent civilian deaths – eighty percent directly attributable to the forces of occupation! (story and 1 comment and 2 images)

BANKSY -- Justice [sword and scales vandalised] image Illegal: US Supreme Court’s ruling on Torture Bay gade, Thursday, Jun 29 2006, 8:23am
The US Supreme Court ruled today that Guantanamo Bay detention/torture centre was illegal (by implication) and the kangaroo military commission established to try the detainees is in breach of the Geneva Convention, well duh! Expert international lawyers stated the plain facts – illegality – of the matter from the start. Who could accuse the ‘slow to see daylight’ US court system of bias? Surely the principal pillars of American ‘justice’ could not be influenced by Bush or his neo-cons? (story and 3 comments and 1 image)

Bali 9 image In Good Faith Kingfisher, Tuesday, Feb 14 2006, 2:23am
John Howard's recent appearance on the Australian media was noted by his transparent attempt to portray grief and 'genuine' concern. The Australian Prime Minister feigned choking-back tears as he pleaded with Australian youth not to contemplate smuggling drugs. Howard’s insincere performance was in response to (anticipated) judgements handed down to members of the ‘Bali nine’ in an Indonesian court. The events that led to Australian youths being fed to the barbaric determinations of a thoroughly corrupt and primitive legal system should not pass without scrutiny. The actions of the Australian Federal Police require an independent and thorough investigation. The lives of Australian citizens should never be surrendered to foreign powers when discretionary prerogatives lie directly with Australian authorities. (story and 4 comments and 2 images)

text The Gold Bead Game peptide, Friday, Apr 15 2005, 9:01pm
Judgement was recently passed on a perpetrator of one of the largest corporate fraud/failures in Australian history. Minimum time to be served, approximately two and a half years! When we consider the negative impact this individual had on numerous shareholders, employees and the average ‘Joe’ in the street, one could wonder at the ‘severity’ of a sentence usually reserved for marijuana offences. Perhaps publishing the defendant’s legal costs may have helped a lay public better understand how justice is dispensed in Australia. But that’s another story (which should be written). This story will examine one factor contributing to the demise of a huge financial ‘institution’.
