text Lying Rodent criticises Bereft Twerp dingo, Wednesday, Jul 9 2008, 6:28am
I don’t mind giving the piss a nudge on occasion but no matter how much I drink, smoke, or pop – THE FACT REMAINS, JOHN HOWARD IS A WAR CRIMINAL! The former Oz PM, coward and lackey has been misinformed if he thinks it’s safe returning to Oz. Howard brazenly launched into Rudd not realising the soft ground he treads. But at least he does the nation a service by demonstrating the utter lack of spine the current PM displays.

text Police State tactics adopted by former ‘Liberal Democracies’ nano, Wednesday, Jul 9 2008, 3:35am
It was with alarm that I first witnessed police state tactics in AUSTRALIA at the last APEC summit held in Sydney. Never before had laid back Australian society been exposed to such tactics. Australia’s first exposure to implacable storm troopers and new draconian laws had the anticipated effect; protesters and ordinary demonstrators were shocked into submission and docility. The NSW Premier, Morris ‘il duce’ Iemma, couldn’t have been happier, he was the first Premier to use such heavy handed tactics on citizens; he had done his blackshirt ancestors proud. Segments of the Italian and conservative Anglo communities lauded our own little, il duce. The ‘Labor’ premier even received praise from the arch-conservative PM, John Howard, who was quick to announce his total support for Iemma’s harsh police tactics.

Dear Mr. President,

A fundamental principle of America’s Middle East policy must be our unshakeable commitment to Palestinian security. I believe that is a bipartisan commitment, and I will work to continue and advance that consensus. But I am deeply concerned that the security of the people of Palestine has been put at greater risk, both because of renewed threats from their implacable enemy, the State of Israel, and because of policy choices by the United States. This story is laden with layers of meaning and secondary discourses. Regrettably, space constraints limit us (not you) to only a few aspects of analysis. In view of publishing constraints and in an effort to info cram, we may at times appear to veer tangentially; however, astute readers should have no difficulty making thematic and other meaningful connections! text Narcissistic, non-achiever Oz PM kicked in teeth by Electorate barra, Saturday, Jun 28 2008, 9:47am
A swing of 7% against the government in the Gippsland by-election sends a clear and strong message to non-event PM, Kevin ‘bereft’ Rudd. The average swing against an incumbent government is around 4%; not only have the people kicked Rudd where it hurts but it is looks like Rudd will be kicked right out of the Lodge before or after his first term -- a very dubious distinction for a Labor leader. Everyone except Rudd and his imbecile media advisers see the writing on the lavatory wall. FAILURE TO DELIVER and LACK of INTERVENTION where it is needed are the principal reasons the people voted overwhelmingly against the government. (story and 2 comments)

Fraud! image Fraudulent Leaders peptide, Thursday, Jun 26 2008, 9:14am
America beware! The Australian public screamed for change but got a Murdoch approved status quo dummy for a leader. Kevin Rudd's first seven months in office have been defined by his inability to do anything whatsoever; his greatest achievement to date is NON-ACHIEVEMENT! He has become a master of preserving the status quo set in motion by the powers that placed the previous conservative leader in office and so it will go with the USA unless the people detect the ruse before it’s too late! text Serbia: an unlikely alliance rade, Wednesday, Jun 25 2008, 11:13am
As predicted, Milosevic’s Socialists (partisans) have rejected their traditional (cetnik) nationalist enemy and will form a government with Tadic’s west-leaning liberal democrats. The extreme left and extreme right are forming a very shaky alliance, one destined to be dysfunctional from the outset but such is the nature of Balkan politics – shaky alliances are the norm not the exception in Balkan politics.

Prague '68 image The ACT of DEFIANCE that ended a military Empire nano, Monday, Jun 23 2008, 11:37am
It is generally believed the collapse of the USSR was due to the unsuccessful campaign in Afghanistan – not so, though it was an effective final act. Afghanistan was actually the last straw that broke the Soviet back but the major destabilising force originated in Prague in the form of the ’68 Velvet Revolution! (story and 1 image)

Pelosi and Bush colluding/subverting democracy image U.S. 'bipartisanship' defined Glenn Greenwald via krill, Saturday, Jun 21 2008, 8:34pm
It's bad enough watching the likes of Steny Hoyer, Rahm Emanuel and a disturbingly disoriented Nancy Pelosi eviscerate the Fourth Amendment, exempt their largest corporate contributors from the rule of law, and endorse the most radical aspects of the Bush lawbreaking regime. But it's downright pathetic to see them try to depict their behavior as some sort of bipartisan "compromise" whereby they won meaningful concessions: (story and 1 image)

'Milton' Bush image The Bitter harvest of Bush's economic 'management' Mike Whitney via reed, Tuesday, Jun 17 2008, 10:11pm
[We have it on good authority that those responsible for the current economic collapse -- insider elites -- are making contingency plans to evade responsibility and future arrest. It is imperative that these corporate criminals are monitored, as they are likely to flee to nations that do not have extradition treaties with the home nation. Maintain tracking of all felons (and war criminals); the peoples' demand for justice must be satisfied! Ed]

The economy is in tatters. Consumer confidence has plummeted, food and energy prices are soaring, and the housing market is experiencing its biggest crash since the Great Depression. Manufacturing is down, unemployment is up, gasoline is topping $4 per gallon, and tent cities are sprouting up throughout the Southwest. If there's a silver lining to this mess; it's not visible from planet earth. (story and 1 image)

text Peter Costello or a REAL alternative barra, Sunday, Jun 15 2008, 11:03pm
Australian government since former PM John Howard surrendered the nation to the Corporations is only a meaningless body going through motions and parading as though government actually mattered. The current Murdoch approved Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, constrained by the Corporations, is too frightened to force them to return a fair percentage of their obscene profits to the nation for essential infrastructure and other essential services. The primary concern of all government should be the general welfare of the nation, not the welfare of Transnationals that take their profits offshore!

Che Guevara;"an inspiration for every human being who loves freedom" -- Nelson Mandela.

Che Guevara is "not only an intellectual but also the most complete human being of our age" -- Jean-Paul Sartre.

"The first thing to note is that in my son's veins flowed the blood of the Irish rebels, the Spanish conquistadors and the Argentinean patriots. Evidently Che inherited some of the features of our restless ancestors. There was something in his nature, which drew him to distant wanderings, dangerous adventures and new ideas. -- Ernesto Guevara Lynch, Che's Father (story and 2 images and 1 attached file)

THE forces of reaction are fighting back. As they often do, they are carrying out their planning in secret, in the knowledge that if more people knew of their activities they would not be allowed to get away with it. The US (surprise, surprise) has circulated a draft "Discussion Paper on a Possible Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement" (ACTA) for the next G8 meeting, in Tokyo in July. The full text of the document has been published on Wikileaks (wikileaks.org). (story and 1 comment and 2 attached files)

text The [American] Empire -- A Status Report William Blum via fleet, Saturday, Jun 7 2008, 10:18pm
The events of recent years indicate that the world is wising up to and becoming less intimidated by Washington's overarching ambition for world dominance. Latin America is increasingly attempting to escape the empire's clutches. Leaders keenly aware of how US imperialism works and determined to keep it out of their own country are in power in Venezuela, Uruguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, and perhaps the latest addition, Paraguay.

Barack Obama just lost the race for the Presidency. At an address to AIPAC, probably the most powerful UNREPRESENTATIVE lobby in the USA, Obama caved to the wishes of the Zionists by pledging almost unconditional support for Israel and going so far as to state publicly that Jerusalem, claimed by two peoples, would remain the undivided capital of Zionist Israel. text John Howard charged with war crimes nano, Sunday, Jun 1 2008, 9:57pm
ABC news radio today reported that a group of Australian citizens, inclusive of academics, lawyers and other professionals, lodged a submission to the ICC to have former PM, John Howard, charged with war crimes for his participation in the illegal invasion of Iraq. Howard with cohorts Bush and Blair, formed the so-called ‘coalition of the willing;’ a rogue alliance that acted against the correct advice of the UN and in violation of numerous international conventions relating to pre-emptive warfare.

ruddfinger.jpg image Rudd’s avoidance of major issues hits new high! junior, Sunday, Jun 1 2008, 2:26am
Kevin Rudd’s now pathological avoidance of the major issues facing Australia has hit a new, if not absurd, high! Facing the wholesale rape of our nation’s natural resources by Transnational mining companies; the worst drought on record; rapidly escalating fuel costs; the failure of free-market capitalism and a geopolitically, inappropriate relationship with a failing superpower, what is Rudd’s response? He ‘tackles’ the earth-shattering crisis of childhood obesity and launches an attack on a world renowned Australian Artist! But we should all be grateful for small mercies; the upside is he hasn't declared war on ingrown toenails! (story and 1 comment and 2 images)
