The ‘living’ corpse scenario
laz, Friday, Aug 8 2008, 3:16am
When powerful leaders die without an heir apparent, nations face possible collapse, chaos or at the very least social catharsis. Strong, all pervading rulers must be replaced immediately to prevent instability or collapse. History records numerous instances when powerful monarchs/Popes/rulers died without a suitable replacement. The death was kept secret for fear the State would implode!

Bush’s China speech: brazen American hypocrisy
barra, Thursday, Aug 7 2008, 12:22pm
The last person in a position to reprimand or give advice to China is the now fully divorced from reality George ‘lobotomised’ Bush. G W Bush delivered his anti-China speech en route to Beijing from Bangkok, perhaps Tierra del Fuego would have been more appropriate after considering Bush’s comments. (story and 1 image)

Living in ‘Interesting Times’
finch, Thursday, Aug 7 2008, 2:26am
History unfolds in the present but is inextricably and dynamically intertwined with the ‘past.’ History is actually an interpretive/constructionist process in the present tense though it appears to relate to past events. The past does not exist; therefore history/everything surrenders itself to interpretation and ‘reality’ construction in the present; the only validity the past possess is that given it by the present!

The measure of a slave – a few simple tests
peptide, Monday, Aug 4 2008, 11:26am
This little exercise is similar to those little games that monthly magazines are known for; like test your fitness level by timing how fast you can eat a box of chocolates while watching TV! Get the picture? But I’m afraid these tests provide accurate results. For example, do you believe the government’s explanation of the 9/11 disaster? Yes! Well, I’m sorry to inform you that you’re not only a compliant slave but also a moron! The following furnishes irrefutable proof. (story and 2 comments and 1 image)

Star-spangled sheep ready for the slaughter
Kismo, Saturday, Aug 2 2008, 8:06am
Home of the brave, land of the ‘free,’ ay! The lyrics to a popular song require changing after it was revealed that border guards have powers to confiscate indefinitely, all personal printed and written material, including handwritten notes, all digital data contained on storage devices such as laptops, iphones, flashdrives etc, and write-only storage mediums such as CDs and DVDs. The regulation applies to all, citizen and non-citizen travellers. The law/regulation can be applied without reason or justification on whosoever a ‘guard’ chooses. The criteria for selection remains undefined, which allows for huge abuses of citizens’ rights. One can easily imagine certain personality types/guards disapproving of the way he/she was looked at and reacting immediately with confiscation and intimidation! (story and 2 images)

budgie, Friday, Aug 1 2008, 10:52pm
Infamous member of the ‘coalition of willing criminals,’ John Howard -- a reprehensible LIAR, RACIST, WAR CRIMINAL, LACKEY and COWARD – has thrown his poisonous support behind the current leader of the opposition, Brendan ‘super hornet’ Nelson. The enmity between Howard and former treasurer Peter Costello, who is rumoured to be making a bid for the opposition leadership, is such that Howard would emerge from his rat hole to support Nelson and risk arrest for his complicity in the Haneef scandal. Robert Gates inadvertently predicts demise of USA
fish, Friday, Aug 1 2008, 2:23am
Far too late, Defence Secretary Robert Gates, cited the destructive effects of the Perle, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Cheney policy of unilateralism in a global world. "We cannot prevail if we act alone," Gates outlined in his National Defence Strategy paper. However, Gates also stressed the importance of [U.S.] "freedom of action in the global commons and strategic access to important regions of the world to meet our national security needs," which in effect cancels his call for cooperation – I count only three real U.S. allies, Israel, Britain and lackey Australia! You cannot succeed in gaining credibility in the international community by sending absurd mixed and contradictory messages, Bob – you want (the world) cake and to eat it too! John F Kennedy speech April 27, 1961
fleet, Thursday, Jul 31 2008, 1:10am
A President with integrity invokes the same sentiments as his predecessor Abe Lincoln, who stated, “I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crises. The great point is to bring them the real facts."
Kennedy refers to the same sentiment in his speech to the Newspaper Publishers Association: “No President should fear public scrutiny of his program. From that scrutiny comes understanding; and from that understanding comes support or opposition. And both are necessary... I have complete confidence in the response and dedication of our citizens whenever they are fully informed.” (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

Real life incident saturated in Symbolism
luis, Saturday, Jul 26 2008, 12:56am
An ‘American breed' fighting dog that attacked an 11 year-old Brazilian boy received the shock of its now very short life. The pit bull, a breed known for its ‘lack of intelligence’ and ‘propensity to attack the innocent,’ was repelled by a counter attack from the boy who lunged at the dog and fastened his teeth onto its neck. The boy lost a tooth fending off the ‘unprovoked’ attack from the vicious, mindless American breed. (story and 1 image)

Serbian government grovels and acquiesces to West
zoran, Thursday, Jul 24 2008, 10:17am
Kosovo, stolen by terrorists and thieves; Albanian Kosovar war criminals acquitted while Serbs continue to be persecuted by the Hague; Montenegro to accept millions in development ‘aid’ from Italy and the West in exchange for Kosovo recognition. Compliant new Serbian government agrees to return recalled Ambassadors to EU States. Is it possible for Serbia to suffer further humiliation, shame and injury? Have Serbs finally learnt to eat shit and cower like whimpering dogs? Is SERBIA, as a sovereign nation, completely lost? (story and 2 images)

The track record of the Hague speaks for itself; even former special prosecutor Carla Del Ponte has exposed the obvious BIAS of the ICC against Serbs! (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

Learn from U.S. Failures
Kingfisher, Saturday, Jul 19 2008, 10:47pm
The entire world has a great opportunity to learn from the devastating failures of the USA. America’s major failures include (the lack of) government accountability, disregarding LAW and international convention, economic MISMANAGEMENT and of course DESTRUCTIVE FOREIGN POLICY! The perpetrators and others responsible are well known; rounding them up for trial would be a simple matter. (story and 2 comments and 1 image)

Inept Oz governments attempt to avoid scrutiny/accountability
quin, Friday, Jul 18 2008, 1:00am
The following example pertains to Australia, however, it easily applies to other developed nations today. The report principally highlights attempts by scurrilous politicians, incompetent governments and regulatory authorities to avoid scrutiny and accountability. If the truth of bungling, incompetence, treasonous activity and downright criminality was made public those involved would spend the rest of their remaining years in jail or at the very least disgraced and ostracised by civil society. Lost Republic: America normalises War
budgie, Wednesday, Jul 16 2008, 9:57pm
Normalisation, in the social context, means taken as natural/accepted/given, something NOT unusual, foreign or affronting! Who would have ever imagined that WAR would be normalised in the USA? Yet Republican candidate, John McCain, boasts and utilises WAR rhetoric as a campaign strategy to WIN THE PRESIDENCY! “I know how to win wars,” he boasts, notwithstanding the fact there is no evidence to support his demented claim! Nevertheless, his insane ranting is accepted by the community as ‘normal’ – the FACT he is running for the HIGHEST OFFICE in the land confirms the grotesque cultural transformation America has undergone in the last eight years. Bush’s America, ruination and desolation
nano, Wednesday, Jul 16 2008, 1:48am
Independent analysts and commentators could all laugh a satisfying laugh and sing the refrain of ‘we told you so,’ if we weren’t committed professionals dedicated to serving the PUBLIC interest. Few citizens today need convincing that the Bush regime is the most incompetent in U.S. history. In a few short years Bush’s mindless ‘management’ and aggressive policies have bankrupted the nation and ostracised the world. The economy has been thoroughly ruined, it is now beyond recovery in its old form. If it is to survive it must first die! (story and 2 comments and 1 image)

Indonesian Pres. offers no apology to Timor-Leste

The longsuffering people of Timor-Leste received no apology today after an inquiry revealed that the Indonesian military and Indonesian security forces were responsible for committing and inciting murder, rape and torture in Timor-Leste in 1999. Approximately fifteen hundred Timorese were murdered by militias and an indeterminate number were raped and tortured after militias went on a rampage killing and destroying crucial infrastructure in East Timor! A taste for the socially ‘aware’

Today, July 13, my news aggregator revealed a world of INANITIES in the mainstream press! After glancing at the featured content, I realised we, the masses, are completely LOST. It hit home (hard) that ‘pigs, dogs’ and incompetent buffoons rule the world because they actually REPRESENT the mindless, moronic MAJORITY – therein lies the formula/seeds of our destruction! The grim fate beckoning vacuum-heads beckons us ALL – I began to wish it was all a bad dream but it was worse, it was on TV! (story and 3 comments and 3 images)

But at least he does the nation a service by demonstrating the utter lack of spine the current PM displays.

Police State tactics adopted by former ‘Liberal Democracies’
nano, Wednesday, Jul 9 2008, 3:35am
It was with alarm that I first witnessed police state tactics in AUSTRALIA at the last APEC summit held in Sydney. Never before had laid back Australian society been exposed to such tactics. Australia’s first exposure to implacable storm troopers and new draconian laws had the anticipated effect; protesters and ordinary demonstrators were shocked into submission and docility. The NSW Premier, Morris ‘il duce’ Iemma, couldn’t have been happier, he was the first Premier to use such heavy handed tactics on citizens; he had done his blackshirt ancestors proud. Segments of the Italian and conservative Anglo communities lauded our own little, il duce. The ‘Labor’ premier even received praise from the arch-conservative PM, John Howard, who was quick to announce his total support for Iemma’s harsh police tactics.
