Religion: a Global plague of the Mind

Try as we might we cannot ignore the mindless, inane and violent antics of religionists. It is clear that this particular social disease must be dealt with before more mindless violence affects our respective societies. The principal offenders are of the Abrahamic tradition; even a cursory read of the Old Testament describes an insane, genocidal, violent, morbidly moody, God, who is full of contradictions – a nut case in other words! I challenge any theologian from the Abrahamic tradition, Judaism, Islam or Christianity to prove otherwise! Their ‘God’ in his own words, via the mediumistic talents of his ‘prophets,’ is a psychopathic basket case. Neither major party has detailed policies for what promises to be a very dire future for the planet but particularly for Australia. That is the tragedy of corporate controlled Australia today; make no mistake, the two leaders vying for government have pledged their allegiance to the corporate sector above all else! A reference was made in an earlier article to the real masters of war – Afghans, Serbs and Vietnamese. Today the reality of that FACT is highlighted by a recent report on developments in Afghanistan. Afghan forces – comprising only of common Afghanis – are teaching modern western soldiers that wars are won by people not propaganda, bribery, UAVs, indiscriminate artillery or missile attacks. The NSW Coroner has found, in relation to the Balibo five, as follows:
FINDING – SECTION 22(1) CORONERS ACT 1980.
“Brian Raymond Peters, in the company of fellow journalists Gary James Cunningham, Malcolm Harvie Rennie, Gregory John Shackleton and Anthony John Stewart, collectively known as “the Balibo Five”, died at Balibo in Timor- Leste on 16 October 1975 from wounds sustained when he was shot and/or stabbed deliberately, and not in the heat of battle, by members of the Indonesian Special Forces, including Christoforus da Silva and Captain Yunus Yosfiah on the orders of Captain Yosfiah, to prevent him from revealing that Indonesian Special Forces had participated in the attack on Balibo. There is strong circumstantial evidence that those orders emanated from the Head of the Indonesian Special Forces, Major-General Benny Murdani to Colonel Dading Kalbuadi, Special Forces Group Commander in Timor, and then to Captain Yosfiah.” (story and 1 image and 1 attached file)

The title indirectly hints at the fact that this intro is an indictment of the current crop of Oz journalists and a tribute to Carmel Travers – who it seems was the last real Australian journalist willing to pursue the Truth at any cost.
In the wake of a damning report assessing declining press freedoms and disappearing government transparency, Travers’ outstanding professionalism and character shines like a beacon in the dark mire of selective, biased and servile reporting. Travers clearly refused to accommodate the new neatly ‘tailored’ form of journalism, which has more in common with propaganda and entertainment than investigative reporting. (story and 2 images)

A UN study group has just delivered a clear warning to HUMANKIND – in this case late is not better than never! For the past few decades specialists have been heard sounding exactly the same alarms/warnings from the modern wilderness. However, certain COMMERCIAL interests have muted the warning cries of concerned scientists and environmentalists. The most recent example is George W Bush favouring reports from oil company friendly ‘scientists’ refuting the effects of industrial, petro-chemical pollution on the planet’s climate and sensitive eco-systems. The last thing any incumbent government wants to hear at election time is incriminating information relating to past failures, unpopular decisions and damaging indiscretions – ‘let’s stay focused on the NOW,’ is the new slogan of the conservatives. Little wonder, as the current PM is responsible for dragging the nation into an illegal war, abandoning citizens to foreign powers, surrendering drug mules to barbaric regimes to face the death penalty, deporting Australian citizens who didn’t have European round eyes and white skin, instigating race riots, allowing corporations to dictate policy, fast tracking approval for the Pluto and Gorgon gas projects and BHP evading water costs that local farmers face daily! We could add surrendering the nation to the yanks and its wealth to the Transnationals while allowing necessary services – education, health/dental, infrastructures, road/rail, housing and energy to fall into disrepair or neglect. The genus of religious leader carries with it nasty character traits and virulent psychological disease regardless of the particular religion the leader represents. Last week saw the appalling hypocrisy of the Dalai Lama – in total denial -- willingly accept honours from the Holocaust President, G W Bush. It was refreshing to witness this much-venerated FRAUD finally display his true form to the world. However, just prior to the Dalai Lama’s self-exposure, a historically consistent hypocrite [the Pope] was engaged in the usual sordid politics of religion – an excellent expose’ from FPIF follows this introduction. Switzerland has often been portrayed and the neutral nation of Europe; it was spared the ravages of WWII principally due to the fact that other nations – Nazi Germany in particular – required a convenient location to store their gold in times of war. Big business also requires anonymous accounts in times of tax evasion! Yes, this is Switzerland, we ask no questions of regimes and institutions that deposit ingots and bars of gold, some of which now known to have been derived from Jewish gold fillings, stolen jewellery and other stolen artefacts.
