More than 75,000 computer systems at nearly 2,500 companies in the United States and around the world have been hacked in what appears to be one of the largest and most sophisticated attacks by cyber criminals discovered to date, according to a northern Virginia security firm.

brown_paper_bag.jpg image Censorship Minister Conroy 'busted' for corrupt dealings gan, Sunday, Feb 14 2010, 6:17am
Didn't we know it from the start! Censorship serves the interests of media corporations that wish to stifle competition from the Internet. With Kevin 'yes Rupert' Rudd as PM and Stephen 'snowing money' Conroy as minister for communications, media moguls have never had it so good! Money is no object, as the mass media is a money machine provided that competition from Internet Independents is managed by very convenient censorship legislation. $250 million reeks of CORRUPTION -- a FULL INQUIRY is certainly warranted for this overtly corrupt deal -- give us all a break, you servile, incompetent Labor politicians -- pathetic! text Rudd displays his servitude to Murdoch and Hollywood Studios kurt, Monday, Feb 8 2010, 5:36pm
Piss-weak Oz PM, Kevin ‘yes Rupert’ Rudd, dodged a direct answer to a question from Oz youth relating to a recent landmark court case which mega Hollywood studios and media moguls LOST – how sweet it is! As usual, our spineless, subservient PM – makes ya proud to be an Aussie lackey – skirted around what every commentator knows; Rudd does what he’s told by the BIG BUSINESS interests that placed him in Office. It’s enough to make you clean and oil your ‘weapon!’ (story and 1 comment)

Murdoch's man, Comms Minister Conroy, clearly not happy with Court Ruling! image Internet Censorship in Oz: Forces of Freedom vs Forces of Oppression Kismo, Wednesday, Feb 3 2010, 6:26pm
The Federal Court in Sydney today ruled in favour of Internet Service Provider, iiNet, in an action mounted by a group of AMERICAN and local media heavies which include, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Village Roadshow and the local Seven TV Network. These mega-media companies claimed that iiNet infringed copyright by allowing subscribers to download/share movies, television programs and other media products; however, Justice Dennis Cowdroy stated in the clearest possible terms that it was “impossible” to hold iiNet responsible for the actions of its subscribers! You bewdy! That’s one for the people; how does it feel, Rupert? (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

LOL image FOX rated No.1 ‘News’ Channel in US! fleet, Saturday, Jan 30 2010, 9:22pm
Slightly over 1,000 Americans surveyed, in a population approaching three hundred million, rated FOX News, ‘most trusted’ news outlet with a 50%-plus, approval rating; a figure well above the nearest competitor, CNN, with a 39% approval rating. The reason for Murdoch’s apparent success is plain to see – Murdoch completely dumped the charade of impartiality and deliberately wooed a partisan audience with the most biased and twisted commentary imaginable – so what’s the problem? People forget that News and the media are BUSINESSES, ie CORPORATE ENTITIES designed to turn a buck above ALL other considerations, TRUTH has little to do with it unless it happens to support an existing policy direction. text Criminally Complicit Mass Media Media Lens via stan, Saturday, Jan 16 2010, 6:14pm
Ignoring or downplaying Western crimes is a standard feature of the corporate Western media. On rare occasions when a broadcaster or newspaper breaks ranks and reports 'our' crimes honestly, it is instructive to observe the response from the rest of the media. Do they follow suit, perhaps digging deeper for details, devoting space to profiles of the victims and interviews with grieving relatives, humanising all concerned? Do they put the crimes in perspective as the inevitable consequence of rapacious Western power? Or do they look away?

Kevin 'stooge' Rudd image Leadership, by the minority for the minority ryall, Sunday, Jan 10 2010, 8:53pm
The recent flurry of media activity relating to ‘underpants’ and YEMEN has taken a new turn with Obama now stating he has “no intention” of invading Yemen – previously he threatened the Yemeni government with, to paraphrase, ‘if you don’t take care of the ‘terrorists,’ WE WILL DO IT FOR YOU!’ Sounds like a clear threat of invasion to me, but one day is a long time in politics! text Journalism: a matter of integrity and character quill, Friday, Jan 8 2010, 7:23pm
Should WE be surprised that today’s mainstream journos have sold out to nefarious minority interests when most professions, which have traditionally served the public interest, sold out long ago? Should we commend journos for holding out so long before they too sold out or should we condemn them completely?

Kevin Rudd image How ruling elites support and protect their PUPPET politicians nib, Saturday, Jan 2 2010, 10:59pm
After taking a massive Carbon Trading (PR) ‘body blow’ at No-Hopen-Hagen and suffering jibes of “loser” and accusations of “coward,” for RETREATING rather than directly confronting new opposition leader, Tony ‘the basher’ Abbott, the Oz PM, Kevin ‘CENSORSHIP' Rudd, is in dire need of assistance, especially from his CORPORATE and MEDIA MASTERS – and they sure are quick to protect their property! text Censorship and Puppet government in Oz Kismo, Friday, Jan 1 2010, 8:28pm
The western world is aware that ‘laboratory Australia’ will soon trial, for nefarious ruling minorities, UNDEMOCRATIC, MANDATORY, information CENSORSHIP. Malevolent ruling elites around the globe will be watching with great interest the reaction of the overwhelming majority (95%) of Australians that oppose all draconian censorship IMPOSITIONS; it should also be noted that the Rudd government received NO MANDATE from the PEOPLE to impose mandatory anything let alone unwanted information controls; but of course democracy today has degenerated into a charade behind which nefarious elites control governments! Mao Zedong and Joe Stalin applauding image Back to the 50’s – RETROGRESSIVE [Internet] Censorship in Oz Kismo, Tuesday, Dec 15 2009, 8:12pm
It was clear from the outset that unpopular, UNDEMOCRATIC policies to CENSOR the free flow of information in Australia would be PUSHED THROUGH the legislative process by Kevin Rudd regardless of all opposition! A news release yesterday confirmed that Rudd’s Communications Minister and Murdoch errand boy, Stephen Conroy, would legislate – FORCE compliance in other words – new Internet CENSORSHIP laws by mid 2010! It is not widely known that the Cleaves site was developed from the Indymedia (IMC) model. The current CMS software package in use by the Cleaves team is a product of Indymedia Ireland. We acknowledge that our existence (and continuing presence) would not have been possible but for the assistance of the IMC and as a show of solidarity we take this opportunity to throw our support behind our persecuted comrades in the Independent Media. A little skill (asymmetry) makes American surveillance monolith worthless image Skype, the uncrackable peer communicator Chris Williams via Kismo, Friday, Jul 31 2009, 5:31am
"For years now a steady stream of reports and whispers have emerged that despite their batteries of supercomputers, intelligence agencies are frustrated by Skype's anonymity and strong encryption. Its base in Estonia also means the firm is out of the reach of the US lawful intercept laws and UK export legislation, which forces any firm supplying encryption technology to show GCHQ the backdoor." Toni Collette image The POWER is/in the ART and in those that produce it! quill, Wednesday, Jul 29 2009, 1:44am
Underrated for too long, Aussie artist (actress) Toni ‘awesome’ Collette, recently accepted a challenging role for a TV series in the, bereft of talent, criminal USA. Collette plays four (five if you count Toni) characters emanating from ONE character suffering multiple personality disorder, a condition not unfamiliar to the paralysed, sedated masses! Murdoch, straight as a dog's hind leg! image The measure of a scurrilous Media Mogul Kismo, Saturday, Jul 11 2009, 12:30am
Amid substantiated reports that Rupert Murdoch’s ‘journalists’ illegally accessed the voice mails and other private data of citizens in the UK, mandatory internet censorship in Australia proceeds undeterred; though it is NOW clear that the original excuse, ‘child porn,’ is a Trojan horse allowing a host of other sites, peer file sharing, and adult GAME sites, to be filtered! The real agenda -- stemming losses to Murdoch’s Entertainment and Media Empire -- should now be apparent to everyone. Murdoch’s SORDID CHARACTER is revealed by this latest scandal, notwithstanding his membership in the CFR and secretive Bilderberg group. Take note Oz, this is the man that dictates policy to Australian politicians! Take a good look at Murdoch’s servants, Rudd, Swan, Smith and Conroy, and then try to imagine these lackeys with spines – impossible! (story and 1 image)

googleevil.jpg image Here's hoping Google gets hammered James Kirby via sadh, Sunday, May 31 2009, 1:21am
It's a sad day when the battle for digital information is between two of the world's most obscene IT Companies, Microsoft and Google. Neither self-serving company has the interests of the public at heart, especially in China, and in the West if hidden information detailing Google's unsavoury relationship with NSA and other security agencies became known! Microsoft is no better having once supplied a 'backdoor' to its Operating System at the request of the NSA. Nevertheless, the stranglehold Google has on information is far worse than the author intimates -- any real democratic government would have legislated long ago forcing Google to relinquish its hold on information searches. Idiotic governments seem to be unaware of today's digital axioms: 'Whoever controls the flow of information rules the world', including governments! Let's hope the open source community gets a viable product out there soon -- then lobbying can begin in earnest! Ed. (story and 3 images)

text Washington Disinformation continues to emanate from subservient Australia! quill, Thursday, May 28 2009, 11:59pm
A well constructed report on the LTTE defeat by the Sri Lankan military was aired on Radio Australia today, a 7 out of 10 effort! It is refreshing to see Australia NOT making news for xenophobia, racism and its shameless, servility to the United States – ‘for a change!’ Nevertheless, America is never far removed from its most servile colony.

text Cyber Warfare: Building Attack Tools for Mass Destruction Tom Burghardt via Kismo, Thursday, May 28 2009, 10:25am
A quintessential hallmark of an authoritarian regime, particularly one that operates within highly-militarized, though nominally democratic states such as ours, is the maintenance of a system of internal control; a seamless panopticon where dissent is equated with criminality and the rule of law derided as a luxury ill-afforded "during a time of war."
