The latest galaxy poll held in former PM Rudd’s sunny State of Queensland shows Gillard’s Labor government at a record low at just 23 percent public support! That is an unbelievably bad result. Of course, the cause is well known; the Labor Party can thank, “there will never be a Carbon Tax under a government I lead,” Gillard, for that atrocious outcome. The fact that this woman is reviled by the community for gushing to the yanks and allowing them to make Oz a PRIMARY nuclear target with FIVE full scale military bases, while lying contemptuously to the Australian people, may have something to do with it! The leaderships of China and Russia are far more pragmatic and realistic than the self-evident pathological buffoons that run the failing USA. However, it is time the leaderships of both nations made clear to the INTERNATIONAL C-O-M-M-U-N-I-T-Y exactly where they stand in relation to the OVERT/BRAZEN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY of the USA and NATO. It is simply unacceptable for Russia and China to condone the Libyan and other ‘interventions’ in their respective roles as members of the UN Security Council and then make feeble verbal protests when mandates and resolutions are violated and brazen crimes committed by other members.

Currency traders and speculators have just taken 10 cents off the Oz dollar in a huge profit taking sell. Nothing was produced in that purely financial exercise. The profit was made by first inflating value and luring dumber investors, then dumber again until a untenable level was reached; the big players then sold or dumped their Oz dollars and ‘cleaned up’ leaving slower investors to take the smaller share or lose altogether. Now consider the fact that 10 cents was the margin and when you have billions of dollars to play with, 10 cents translates into billions in profits. But I would stress that nothing was PRODUCED in the corporeal world; the entire exercise was digital or abstract.

The Associated Press' Paul Wiseman had one of the snappier headlines last week: "The Economic Recovery Turns Two - Feel Better?"
"After previous recessions, people in all income groups tended to benefit," Wiseman wrote. "This time, ordinary Americans are struggling with job insecurity, too much debt, and pay raises that haven't kept up with prices at the grocery store and gas station. The economy's meager gains are going mostly to the wealthiest…A big chunk of the economy's gains has gone to investors in the form of higher corporate profits."
Wiseman quoted David Rosenberg, chief economist at Gluskin Sheff and Associates in Toronto: "The spoils have really gone to capital, to the shareholders."
