The Australian Dilemma

Australian citizens face a national election later this year and few are happy with the available choices. The two party adversarial system has resulted in two disliked candidates, one a war criminal, racist, pathological liar, despicable coward and servile corporate US lackey, the other a nothing, a zero with no ideological platform or defined identity – a non-specific turd! The incumbent, John Howard, is the most despised prime minister the nation has ever known; Howard’s brazen lying and other reprehensible, un-Australian actions are completely transparent yet the opposition rarely goes on the offensive with issues that ‘go begging.’ Just today Howard again attempted to cast, by innuendo, a negative perception on the opposition by referring to one of the party’s traditional support bases, the union movement – a tradition that preserves the internationally known Aussie ethic of the “fair go” and egalitarian ideal. The union’s role today is largely diminished nevertheless the union movement is nothing to be ashamed of; every Australian today has benefited from the union movement which historically with the Labor Party has guaranteed a fair deal for all Australians.
The opposition leader, Kevin Rudd, fails to draw attention to the corrupt and contaminating influence of the Corporate sector on Howard -- who is actually their trusted lackey! Consider the outrageous Howard (IR) policy of depressing real incomes for average Australians while allowing corporate directors to enjoy ever increasing incomes, amounts now exceed tens of millions of dollars per director. It is simply impossible to justify this huge disparity and inequity. It suggests that corporate directors are millions of times more skilled than average Australians, which is an absurd proposition, one that can easily be proven. But Rudd fails to go on the offensive with screaming injustices and inequities!
Howard and his supercilious treasurer, Peter Costello, constantly tout their acumen in managing a hole in the ground economy. Almost all of Australia’s current success can be attributed to the resources boom – a phenomena for which neither Howard or Costello is responsible! Anyone can manage a rapacious, garage sell-off. Consider the gross inequities of the Howard ‘managed’ economy; how much of the billions in profits reaped/raped from the natural wealth of the nation translates into improved living standards for the community at large, especially services and important infrastructures? Health, dental and education are the notable examples of Howard’s FAILED MANAGEMENT or worse, manipulation in favour of the Transnationals that take their profits elsewhere! Where is Rudd the dud on these issues?
Australia was beginning to assert its sovereignty until Howard took the helm; when faced with leading a sovereign nation, Howard stalled in fear and ran to America in the most slavish and servile manner imaginable. Howard’s cowardly actions in that regard have shamed the nation and the memory of every Australian who has fought and died for their country. Howard is the most disgusting coward the nation has ever seen in public life, yet Rudd has no answer for this despicable chicken-shit!
Numerous other examples exist, however this writer has reached his personal disgust level and will defer to others to continue; criminal involvement in illegal wars and holocausts and the callous insensitivity displayed by Howard for innocent victims label him as a pathological personality yet Rudd seems oblivious to the nose on his face.
Rudd’s timidity and reticence could easily be interpreted as incompetence, fear or the constraining effect of serving the same masters as Howard. The majority of Australians remain unrepresented by either candidate – and therein lies the dilemma and the tragedy that Australians face today.

Rudd didn't 'bite'

The most damaging issue for Howard at present is the failed Haneef beat-up, which has backfired in a most dramatic way; we haven't seen the last of that fiasco, either!
Howard, Ruddock, Andrews AND Keelty have blown it, big time. It is victimisation, racism and political manipulation at its worst. Anyone who imagines there wasn't any collusion between these men is bereft!
Notice the headline stealer when it became obvious the Haneef case was becoming an international incident (embarrassment) and scandal.
'Suddenly' pre-existing information regarding Costello's widely known dislike of Howard described in a biography displaces the most damaging news Howard and his government was receiving on the media, the Haneef beat-up.
Howard should have quit while he was ahead with Hicks but like a junkie he couldn't help himself -- he tried to play it to advantage once again with Haneef -- please notice the thorough inhuman callousness Howard displays toward his fellow human beings (victims) if it means he will derive a little advantage!
Everyone bit; the media, the population and Wayne Swan but Rudd didn't take the bait and comment. Yes, Kevin, wise move; it was far too obvious anyway. Typical of Howard’s modus operandi – BUT YOU SHOULD BE ATTACKING HOWARD RELENTLESSLY ON THE Haneef ISSUE. It has the potential to sink the government for good.
What’s-a-matter Kevin? Uncle Rupert wouldn’t let you run with this one, you disgraceful fellator – wipe the custard from your disgusting, servile face!
