Looming Oz Federal Election: don’t be fooled again!

“Fooled” in what sense? Surely it’s as simple as voting for the Party of your choice? That would be the response from most people and that is the problem. Party voting is offering the choice between gangrene or an amputation, as an American once put it! In order to restore democracy and open the electoral system to candidates who have EARNED and DESERVE your vote -- in other words candidates who actually represent their electorates -- the voting public should reserve their votes and offer their support only to those candidates who PERSONALLY REPRESENT THEM. The result of course is the party with the most popular and REPRESENTATIVE candidates wins the election. VOTE FOR PEOPLE not parties and you will soon restore democracy and negate the forces that have made democracy a commercial enterprise and politicians puppets to the Corporations.
What we have today is a one way system of non-representative government talking at us and lying in order to justify their non-representative polices – a perfect travesty of democracy!
Need I cite the example of the two most unrepresentative candidates in Australian history, Howard and Rudd? [Both] these conservative candidates represent the same corporate interests, NOT the VAST MAJORITY of Australians. They share similar conservative views, one is merely a diluted version of the other. Neither articulates the principal concerns of the people for fear their Corporate masters would replace them with a more suitable puppet!
I need not go to great lengths stating the obvious; however, I would state how much I love this country.
Exercise your democratic prerogative at election time and restore the nation to its rightful heritage and values.
RESTORE AUSTRALIAN DEMOCRACY.
