Elections Oz: a convenient dirt campaign

Gutter politics, smear, slur and ‘dirt’ are the order of the day in Oz politics. Accusations and counter accusations from both major parties have captured the attention of the local mass media – as was expected. But to paraphrase William, 'things are not what they seem;’ the incumbent and the contender have both breathed a sigh of relief, the dirt campaign has taken the pressure of our leaders who were faced with the prospect of spelling out their vacuous policies and future ‘plans’ for the nation. It is becoming more difficult with each election to disguise the fact that Oz is just a resource/raw material supplier to the world – Asia has captured manufacturing from hi-tech to ship building and everything in between. Faced with failure in the highly competitive international arena, Australia has become a convenient hole-in-the-ground economy supplying the more able nations with the resources they require. [But it wasn’t always like that, was it Mr Howard?]
So let’s just learn to accept our place in the world as an old style colonial nation complete with old world colonial values such as racism, parochialism, timidity, xenophobia, cultural inferiority, lack of identity and cowardice – characteristics all embodied in our fearless leader John Howard and to a lesser extent the contender Kevin Rudd.
The population should be informed that the powers look for COMPLIANCE ABOVE ALL ELSE in our leaders – why is the political race between two of the most servile personalities in Australian history? [Does the ‘field’ meet with your approval Mr Murdoch?]
In situations where there is no real difference between contenders, and the people have lost representation what else but ‘dirt’ remains to entertain the public and promote debate in Parliament!
Do Australians really care if Howard portrays us all as cowering, cringing, racists? What interest is it if the leader of the opposition required a heart valve transplant and the only suitable sized valve was that of a sparrow! Of what concern to the public is it if pretender, Costello’s heart is even smaller than Rudd’s? Do we really give a hoot if the female deputy leader of the opposition obtains her vibrators by mail order? [The local postie informs us that she now has the new improved 4-speed-twister model that also says, ‘I love you’ (at the press of a button)!]
Dirt campaigns are useful otherwise we all might have to FACE THE REALITY THAT WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF OVER ONE MILLION INNOCENT MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN!
Yea mate, this is Oz talking and in case you haven’t heard, NO ONE GIVES A SHIT AROUND ‘ERE!
What a fuckin’ disgrace, the lot of ya!
[Have we done good by maintaining the media ban on the civilian death toll, Mr Murdoch?]
