Collusion and Interference in State Institutions
by nano Thursday, Nov 1 2007, 11:58am

It is absolutely imperative in any democracy that legal, regulatory and other important State Institutions REMAIN INDEPENDENT and free of GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE. However, in America today we witness flagrant attempts by the Bush regime to commandeer legal and regulatory organisations to the neo-conservative ideology and cause -- the result of these outrageous interventions has been the wholesale subversion of the founding democratic principles of the nation.

Howard and Bush, share crimes and values
Howard and Bush, share crimes and values

The racist Howard government of Australia, following the lead of its American colonial masters, has today been exposed for bungled attempts to scapegoat -- for blatantly political purposes -- an Indian national, Dr. Haneef. Emails obtained under FOI provide clear evidence that the Minister for Immigration and senior members of the AFP colluded to interfere and subvert due legal process in the Haneef case -- another failed attempt by Howard to exploit for political purposes the terrorist ‘spectre.’

The reader may also recall the recent overt racism of the Immigration Minister in relation to black African refugees – how long must the population tolerate the overt racism and criminal activities of the Howard government?

It is obvious the people cannot depend on the assistance of the AFP to intervene and apprehend government ministers for criminal activity, as the AFP is PARTY to these criminal activities!

The nation’s Federal Policing and security authority is clearly in crisis, which is evident right down to the vehicles in use by the AFP. Only this week I witnessed a BRIGHT RED sedan – the vehicle colour choice of inadequate males – speeding through Sydney streets with garish “AFP” markings on its side and rear; the letter markings were triple the size of other (state) police vehicle markings. If the vehicle belonged to an individual that individual would easily be identified as having severe personality problems.

There is no way to compensate for incompetence or corruption in police and security organisations; the only cure is the prosecution of corrupt officials and replacing incompetent staff with competent staff whose integrity would not allow interference from any government minister or official.

The failure of the AFP is easily rectified by criminal proceedings against those involved in the political victimisation of Haneef and the subversion of due legal process. The astute reader would be aware that the ‘buck’ actually stops with Howard who also sanctioned the surrender of Oz drug mules to Indonesian authorities to face the death penalty when they could easily have been apprehended -- with a broader local arrest rate -- in Australia!

Anyone who doubts government collusion need only replay the video of Howard’s fake tears over the arrests (politically calculated surrender) of the ‘Bali nine.’ Howard may be an adept LIAR but he is a pathetic actor!

Recent email evidence in the Haneef case is only a fragment of the now deleted information surrounding this case but it is sufficient to institute immediate criminal proceedings.

The public is in no doubt regarding the collusion of the Howard government with the AFP; however, in order to recover lost confidence in the system the elimination of corrupt elements in State institutions must be witnessed by the entire community. It is also imperative that the legal system and due process is seen to be free of government interference if we are to re-establish a functional democracy and live in a fair society.

There is no escaping the fact that the leader of the conservative Australian government is a war criminal, regardless of the gelded efforts of the opposition to pursue him in this regard.

A vote for the conservatives is a vote for incompetence, crime and corruption at the highest levels!
